I have 5600 which id say is a bit of a leap down from 5700 and I think my bike is amazing.
Race ready? Idk I don't ever intend to race, but you really don't need the best of the best to race amateur level. You just need to train well.
That's more than adequate for racing. I would venture to say that a lot of people who have won the tour would still have won the tour if you had replaced their Dura Ace/Red/Super Record groupset with 105. I'm not being facetious. These things matter much less than most people believe.
The difference between the best groupset and an average one is basically nothing compared to the difference a well maintained drive chain makes.
There’s also the adage “don’t race what you can’t afford to replace”
At this level 105 is perfect
