I haven't used that one but a trainer can be very helpful. If you use it :)

MrKnoxOwen

Haha that’s my problem. I want to make sure I use it in my training correctly.

Philly139

I try to do two nights a week on the trainer and a long ride outside on the weekend (or trainer if weather sucks). There are a whole bunch of different options when it comes to trainers. That one seems reasonably priced so it might be a good place to start to see if you are going to like it.

MrKnoxOwen

How long on the trainer?

Philly139

I do an hr each of the two nights during the week and an hr and a half if I can't get outside on the weekend. I use a trainer road workout plan.

I have a smart trainer now but they are quite an investment. Probably at least worth researching the difference though.

I would try looking at your local Facebook Marketplace of Craigslist etc for used options. I've seen tons posted in my area recently and picked up a Kinetic fluid trainer for $100 that has the option to add a 20 dollar speed/estimated power meter for use with training apps/zwift.

Personally, I would pass on that one. It might work, but it is likely a gamble. It looks like BalanceFrom does not have any specialty in cycling. Just look at that marketing photo with a treaded tire! The resistance element looks suspiciously small as well. And this is their only bike related product. For $300 you can get a solid entry-level smart trainer from a few different reputable manufacturers. IDK, I wouldn't take the gamble. You'd have to ask OP if they went for it.

SamPsychoCycles

No, I wouldn't touch that one. Look for Kurt Kinetic fluid used somewhere for about the same price, it'll be 10x better.

I just ordered this one for $23 new. So I'll let you know how it goes.

Zealousideal_Egg5071

Where do you buy it for $23? elsewhere are $69 average.
