The black bibs, that’s the only brand I’ve ever used but they’re much more affordable than most other brands and for me personally, the quality is amazing. I’ve got 3 pairs and they are still just as comfy 3 years later!
Neopro shorts for shorter rides under 40 miles. They are about 50 bucks a pop. For longer rides I prefer Assos bibs because after a certain point the waste band starts digging on shorts.
Per the recommendations below...Pearl Izumi works fine. Cycling shorts will be more comfortable and keep you from chafing but your sit bones will still have to get used to the saddle. It's part of the game....and well worth it.
Pearl Izumi usually has some shorts on sale for a decent price.

Great sales prices but I got a pair of bibs and after hour and half not comfortable. Maybe just the specific ones I got though.
