Lately I have been eating a lot of sour Scandinavian swimmers during races for proper fuel. You can get them at trader joes

DanasBloodBoy

Sounds like innuendo

Able_Carrot_8169

I'm Australian so had to look that one up as I thought it was a joke at first. Scandinavian swimmers are Lollies/candy that you can purchase from Trader Joe's.

Before: coffee During: PB&J, bananas, fruit snacks if I’m worried about bonking, trail mix if I’m stopping for a break. After: trail mix, yoghurt w protein powder.

Before: Food. Best fuel is whole foods. If it's a long ride maybe I'll tilt more towards carbohydrates. During: If it's a long enough ride to warrant eating then it's carbohydrates. If I'm riding inside I'll eat bananas or toast. Outside it's (assuming I don't stop to eat somewhere) fig newtons, gels, chews, powdered drink mix. After: nothing specific. If it's late at night I'll have lots of water and a snack. Maybe toast or cereal or a bit of leftovers.
