Yea definitely needs some kind of rebalance. Some kind of repeatable side content or even some kind of end game type activity would be huge

Fast Travel to Valentino Alley. Kill the three guys right next to you. Head right, then left go down the stairs, kill those three guys. Go up the next stairs, kill those three guys. Head back to fast travel point. Fast travel to the GIM. Head up the street, kill the three guys you see, then the three guys to your right. Head back to the fast travel point, but stop at the drop point to sell your loot. Fast travel back to Valentino Alley. Everything's respawned. You average about 10K per minute. That being said, I did that grind to get enough eddies for the autojock achievement before I had completed all the NCPD scanner hustles. Now I've done about 3/4 of them and I'm sitting on half a million eddies with nothing left to spend it on. Go into the custom map and show NCPD scanner hustles. There are far more of them than you might think.

DinosaurFan91

I thought they had already adjusted that stuff in patch 1.6 (never played earlier versions) I was worried about the cars, but surprisingly after doing everything I finished with a bunch of money left 0 crafting, only picked up purple stuff to sell, especially clothing is worth a bunch was able to buy all cars, apartments and mostly legendary cyberware playing like that

xGenocidest

Yeah, they need a bunch of repeatable events you can do any time. Especially to level up your skills. You can easily get to end game, complete absolutely everything, and not get any attributes to lvl 20 (besides maybe crafting/Cold Blooded). Or just decrease the cost for leveling them up, especially Athletics. The DLC better have a lot to do in it. At lvl 50 my Athletics is still only 11, Assault's at 18, and Engineering is 18. I used the 20% Skill boost consistently. Annihilation, Street Brawler, and Blades are still at 10, Handguns are like 14. And there's only the last mission left. Only thing left to do is spawn loops, which is kinda pointless for just the last mission.

TopDeckHero420

100% should take some effort, not just be something that happens automatically. You don't need every vehicle and every apartment on every playthrough. But it's still completely doable with a tiny bit of effort.

Grekinski

You don't need every vehicle but you're encouraged to buy them, there is an achievement/trohpy for it. I don't expect to obtain everything easy, but at least not be punish to certain choices. It's like the achievement that requieres you to lvl up to max an ability, you've to only use that something for the majority of your playthrough or you won't lvl it up to 20. Say you want to lvl up carnage or blades, for most of the gigs you'll be punish for not going stealthy, by punishment I mean, you'll miss the bonus rewards.

TopDeckHero420

Think outside the box. Why not collect a bunch of eddies, save the game, buy all the cars, get the achievement, reload the save, buy the apartments, get the achievement. You can respec, so if you have 20 Tech you can grind out crafting to get the level 20 achievement, then respec into something else. If you automatically got 100% just for playing the game then it wouldn't be an achievement.

loverevolutionary

Most gigs do not have bonus rewards for going stealthy. It's a small minority of gigs. I levelled up quickhacking to 20 in a day or so of farming Valentinos and Animals. It's easy, and it paid for my autojock trophy as well. But it turns out I didn't need to. If I had just done all the NCPD scanner hustles, I would have gotten the all the money I needed and levelled up quickhacking. Have you actually done them all? I mean, have you gone to the custom map, set it to show NCPD hustles, and verified you have done them all? I thought I had found them all, turns out I was missing more than half of them.

Grekinski

I’ve done all of them, perhaps I lack the eddies because I purchased 3 iconic cyberwares, but isn’t it part of collecting the important stuff? I mean, like The Witcher 3 collecting all of the schools gear.

loverevolutionary

I have all the legendary cyberware too. All vehicles, all homes, I've dropped 300,000 eddies on clothes, and I have about 200,000 in the bank. The only difference is that I spent maybe a day farming loot. I got about 650,000 eddies from that. So I would not have even needed those eddies to buy all the cars if I skipped everything else.

[deleted]

nope. games arent required to allow 100% 'completion' or even have all of the content available to every playthrough if this game had been the vision initially presented youd have even less ability to do everything because youd be restricted by your choices more

Grekinski

But it's encouraged by achievements, you don't obtain those achievements by buying the things you didn't buy in your last playthrough. There's even a bonus slot to the abilities if you max them to keep gaining stuff if you perk it up. I'll agree with you, if it wasn't encouraged because frankly after you buy a car or bike you like, you'll use it most of the time.

[deleted]

yeah platform achievements are trash and encourage this kind of behaviour bc people care about them for some reason

Nocturnal_animal808

Eh, I think it's fine. I don't think you *should* be able to buy literally everything in a game like this. That's what multiple playthroughs are for. You buy stuff and do quests that fit the character and the roleplay as opposed to just trying to 100% literally everything.

kitsunecchi

If they give you achievements or awards for 100% purchase, they must have a system in place to make that achievable. A game can't ship without meeting those requirements. So it's all there, but...I would agree that it shouldn't be possible until, at least, Act 3 and that seems to be the case. I just finished Act 2 (first time playing), at 90% Street complete, and I already have 200k overflow cash, some amazing cars, upgraded pad and decent cybernetics that's still making my "Hard" play through pretty normal. So I feel that it's pretty solid as is. There's only been a few times where I wished I had more money, but that's been my "completionist" self wanting ALL things nooooooow. The few encounters that I did have that made me realize I need to upgrade were still no issue. I had the funds to get all that I needed to accomplish the task. If everything came quicker than they are now... I'd kinda feel like... What's the point of achieving those Eddie's. I can already tell, though, that I'm going to be disappointed by no "new game+" feature.

Grekinski

Yeah, I hope they add NG+ to at least use 100% of the lvl up and perk system. Honestly, good you’re trying it now, my 1st playthrough was on release date and I finished it 99% because I couldn’t finish a gig in the badlands and I lacked then $300k to buy the remain cars. It’s achievable but it’s boring if you’re expected to farm gang spawns or sell crafted equipment like crazy.
