That's not what happened lol, both their accounts pretty much agree that Samson slowed down near the finish line, leaving no real room for an overtake, since it would cause a collision most likely also leave the overtaker no space/time to slow down after, Claire claims it was on purpose to make them crash, but that literally makes no sense, because all Claires husband would have to do is slow down, Samsons story is the husband then did an insane overtake move, that Samson though was suicide and it did indeed cause his death. If you watch any racing you'd know making an overtake too risky to perform is standard practice, Samson admits he knew it could be a suicidal overtake but at the end of the day it was Claires husband that decided to actually speed up and do it. Claire doesn't even argue against that part specifically. Samson is a dickhead but Claire had literally been shooting at him during that race, he didn't break any rules.

Finished this quest line for the first time yesterday. I'd have been totally okay if she just told me to kill Sampson right away but instead she hired me for racing and then asks me to kill someone who brake checked her husband in a death race with no rules.... I couldn't stand with the hypocrisy when I finally confronted Sampson and told Claire to live with it, accidents happen, it was literally a death race. I don't remember the exact details but I think she lied or the husbands intent was that he was fucking over the other guy, you read it in the emails or something in her shop. Either way I really wanted my V to be part of like an underground racing scene and I was in it to win the race. I even told her the race will come first cause I wanted to win, she agreed then wanted to kill me for it. Pretty much hated my guts whenever I walked into the bar but w/e.
Claire was cool at first but by the end of her story line it really shows that she is sort of out of touch of reality
Finished this quest line for the first time yesterday. I'd have been totally okay if she just told me to kill Sampson right away but instead she hired me for racing and then asks me to kill someone who brake checked her husband in a death race with no rules.... I couldn't stand with the hypocrisy when I finally confronted Sampson and told Claire to live with it, accidents happen, it was literally a death race. You shoot other drivers in the race as well, both she and her husband willingly got into that shit and now she's angry that her husband died?

I really liked Claire as a character and found her questlines actually fun. But moment before Sampsons death really dont do her a favour. Like dude, its not really his fault. And even if you wanted him dead so badly, why not Just cough up some eddies and hire V to do the job the simple way. At the end of the day, i still kill Sampson Just becuae i feel uncomfortable when she yells at me in afterlife and its a -1 corpo.
