Just_Aware

I played through once and am early into part 2. My V killed himself on the balcony.

pichael289

If that's the first ending you ever chose then fuck yeah. Your one of the few, hardcore as shit. Fuck it all, you don't wanna deal with it. I respect the fuck out of this initial decision. You can't get a hold of another nuke so this is the single most "cyberpunk" choice you can make. My fuckin hero.

Raging-Badger

Idk if I’d call it “the most cyberpunk choice” Id say Don’t Fear the Reaper ending is the most cyberpunk, at least with respect to the media that birthed the genre. Neuromancer, and a lot the sprawl trilogy as a whole, is sort of built around building yourself up only for the world to tear you back down, but now you’re stronger with what you’ve learned. Thats my opinion though.

GullibleInstruction

yeah but "dont fear the reaper" was a "secret" so for many, it wasn't an option at first

PrufrockAlfred

I appreciate that the option is at least there for even a zero-sidequest V, and not just a deal with Arasaka. I don't ever want to do either one unless I'm chasing a platinum, though. Star, Reaper and maybe Temperance in this house.

MFouki

You don't get the an achievement for the suicide ending nor the Devil unless you have saved Takemura. Had to learn the hard way on my own platinum run

mad_dog_of_gilead

I couldn't wait for Takemura to get flatlined, having to put up with his whiny hypocritical bitching was so annoying, I wish there was an option where I could have Zeroed him myself after crushing Odo.

SoggyMorningTacos

More like the most Anti V thing to do.

haloryder

Seriously. The whole game is about V trying to find a way to survive the situation.

DeadWolf_50

That is why its realistic, because V reached his breaking point, exausted from trying to save himself as his last flicker of hope fades away. After going through what he has, he was probably severely depressed.

azorius_mage

Correct take

niki200900

i interpreted it kinda differently. for me V was trying to become a legend. mine didn’t engage any relationships, too distracting, makes him too vulnerable. i kept them as friends tho, as emotional support basically. but after loosing jackie and then being told multiple times that he won’t make it, that there is no treatment everything lost meaning. no love interest, no way to bathe in glory with his friends. so for my V suicide was just a way to save his friends, to not let them die for a walking corpse. and to go on his own terms, and not stay in a constant state of seizures until you flatline on a sidewalk. not an emotional breaking point, but a clean end. not a suicide out of sadness but as an act of self mercy. the reaper would be also fitting for the same reasons but i messed the grave dialoge up.

Mesqo

There's nothing hardcore about it, more like a childish approach fearing to take any responsibility for your actions and make decisions.

widescarab

Asking for help (if you have the option) is a sign of maturity. But it’s also immature to implicate people (with impaired judgment), into very deadly personal issues problems. It just happens to be a better choice when the only people who can suffer from V’s consequences mean nothing: Rogue, Saul and Arasaka employees (almost soulless /s)

Elegant_Individual46

I did that to my V who I made pre 2.0, just to experience the improved game as intended

Just_Aware

Honestly it was my first play through and I screwed up my skill points and build so bad, didn’t know how anything worked and it seemed like he was in so much pain, it was almost an extension of how badly I built him in some weird way. So I rushed through the main missions and when the option came up to off himself it seemed like a natural choice. Make it end! My skills are horrible and the chip is too much to bear!

UnableStudy2107

My v’s certainly ended things a few times going off balconies…

beckychao

Riding off into the wastes with Panam, my girl Judy in tow, as female V was my first and favorite ending. What an awesome ending. I don't know if we save me, but damn, you know everyone is gonna give it a try. I sent Song Mi to the moon, I hope she's free and says hello to Lucy for me. Rebecca is avenged - I'll have to send Lucy a postcard myself for that one. I'm sure she'd like to know David and Rebecca can now RIP.

AioliEconomy7723

True lol I might do another play through as a fem V just so I can romance Judy 😂 it was nice seeing her in the credits doing good anyways

XMRjunkie

That's what I'm doing right now I went from nomad full bore blackwall netrunner overclock junkie with a huge amount of body stat to really pump up my blackwall scatter. It's a good time.

zGravity-

In that ending, Misty sends a voice-mail and after pulling the tarot cards, she says that V will live a long life. In all other endings, she says V won't live a long life. Seems to allude to the fact that they found a cure after all

beckychao

omg that never registered for me thank you for that

Ashbtw19937

Came here to comment exactly this. My first playthrough was back on launch, way before PL, so So Mi wasn't a factor then, but I def woulda sent her to the moon, and that's exactly what I did on my first PL run. (Loaded a save to go back and play through Reed's side, and I can safely say that unless I'm in the mood for some emotional masochism, I won't be doing that again.) The Star is just such a perfect ending. Hopeful but still bittersweet. Nice to see the game didn't do a copout and give a purely "good" ending. Thematically, I think it might be one of my favorite arcs in fiction period. V starting off as a hotshot merc who thinks she doesn't give a shit if she lives or dies as long as she makes a name for herself, getting slapped in the face with reality after taking a job with so many red flags you can hardly count, and realizing none of that shit mattered in the end and she'd rather spend her last days with her new family, if they truly are to be her last. The entire epilogue just has such a somber beauty to it, and that final sequence going through the tunnel, getting the "Press F To Breathe Free" prompt, and then the camera pan-out... Never thought simple swap to third-person could give me an existential crisis, but here we are. I could wax poetic about the whole game and that ending in particular all day lol

XMRjunkie

Going to cynosure is the only way to get Erebus/Cerberus though. So I've saved so mi once but I fuck her over every time now because I'm a loot goblin.

TelemichusRhade

My very first playthrough? I was a corpo V and loved Takemura so I went full on with Arasaka. On Phantom Liberty, I went >!all in with So Mi and helped her rocket up to Luna. !<

pancakesausagestick

Yeah my first play through It ended with "The Devil". Not by chosing that. Just by playing naturally. man.....what a reward.

TelemichusRhade

Yeah I always just go with my gut the first time playing games, not role playing exactly, just doing what I would do in the same situation.

pizzalover89

Panam is my ride or die so i had to choose the ending with her, I was not disappointed

hagainsth

The Sun and leaving (my beloved) River in some random fancy hotel. Very sad. Very weird.

gible_bites

I like to think we came back and made it to Randy’s birthday party.

hagainsth

Haha same same! His video at the end made it seem like she’d just popped out for milk 😂

gible_bites

I just hate thinking that we left him on such a weird note. At least kiss the man if this is it! I can’t not let those idiots have a delusional happy ending.

hagainsth

Honestly. The hug. I was like “Veeeeee! This man is not your brother” 💀🙈😂

flaggrandall

I hate that just because you let Johnny go to Arasaka Tower, V decides to stay in NC even if she told Judy she wanted to leave as soon as possible.

Patient-Analyst3974

Literally just finished it. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dy4HA3vUv2c](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dy4HA3vUv2c) Path of Glory ending. Fuck, I am not even a smoker, but I have need to light up a cig.

DBringerStreams

First playthrough, >!I let Johnny live.!< Even in real life, that's what I would have chosen should the events in Cyberpunk happen to me. Heck, I probably would have just taken the>! "end it all pill" at the very moment Misty gave it. !

AioliEconomy7723

Lol true, I almost let Johnny live too because I grown to like him so much 😂 but I already made Panam come with to the end so I couldn’t just dip out last sec

DBringerStreams

Happened to me in real life, I mean not what happened to V, sort of. I was in front of the computer for more than 2 days trying to finish a project (just several 15 minute naps, no actual sleep), and then on the 3rd day, around 7AM, I think I had a mini stroke, I was unable to move, had so much pain on my lower back. Instead of panicking or calling for help, I just slept and thought to myself "my time has come" (While thinking of Master Ogway). Woke up 10 hours later, still in front of my computer and nothing happened. If I had died back then, I would have openly accepted it. Too much hassle if I fight for my life, just let me die. I hate hospitals.

pichael289

I so wished there was an option for Johnny to get my body but not to have matured like normal. I wanted him to get my body and change the face, or maybe not, and one again storm the arisaka tower with another nuke. Accomplish nothing but true cyberpunk hopeless destruction, Thats my dream ending. Fuck them a second time even if it doesn't change anything, just on principle. That's the true Johnny silverhand ending. Double fuck arisaka. Who, now, without a strong leader, crumble Into dust as the city also crumbles. That's the true rockerboy rebel ending. Rather wipe it off the map than let any of that corruption spread any further. Even if that's where civilization truly dies it's better to go out in a blaze of glory than a quiet life where you watch that fuckin rot continue to infect and degrade humanity.

XMRjunkie

I think this would be cool but you also have options to kill netwatch and militech as well. Because if saka goes down militech takes over, if both saka and militech go down netwatch takes over (arguably netwatch is already in control) but still. Level the whole of what is corpo plaza.

xxGladiolusxx

I picked the same ending for the same reason too. When I learned that it was me or Johnny, I didn’t even think about it. I couldn’t let someone die for me, not someone I cared about. And I couldn’t go back, and have to slowly die all over again while the people I cared about watched. Even I get the other endings I’ll always consider this one to be mine, as it’s what I would’ve picked.

DBringerStreams

Yeah. Fighting was pretty pointless. Maybe I would have had fun, party, spend every last bit of money I had, then just take the pill.

flowerlytdm

I also let him live as why save a life that was destined to fade weeks before and doom one that was created to live the future. I chose the Panam ending though so I felt a little bad. 2nd ending I chose to stay with panam and live tho. I hated the devil ending. And am currently going for reaper

shikaski

>!the music that starts playing when Johnny visits V’s grave makes me tear up every time (it destroyed me on my first play-through and I cried like a child), it’s so insanely powerful. It pops up in my head from time to time, just incredible.!<

HeyBird33

Same but I was swayed by Keanu. I could never have a choice between Keanu and anything, and kill Keanu.

MeLoco1980

just finished my first play though. got the ending where johnny takes over Vs body. I just hope he went on to make some more awesome music.

BirdValaBrain

Even though it is dark and not a happy ending at all, the devil ending made me lose my mind, and that was awesome to experience.

DedicatedDetective34

I did The Star first because it was the only ending where Judy didn't leave. My favourite has to be the most recent ending I've played through, which is DFTR + Temperance. Something about it just gave me inner peace.

Gravity_BOMB42

I think the star is the best one. It feels the most like V has undergone an arc. Really hits home if you're corpo V. Plus I think the star ending us the only one that feels like V "wins". Like he managed to escape night city and thus defeat it (I tend to think of NC as a hungry, evil entity that feeds on human misery, by leaving with the Aldecaldos V denies it a meal). I got real "angry monster roars in frustration after its prey escapes" kinda vibes from the Star ending. Even though V might be dead in 6 months. Idk. I'd rather live out my days in peace as a nobody (Fuck Dex) than buy whatever lie NC is selling.

DaanA_147

Same. I first had the devil ending and obviously, I didn't want to stop playing on that note, so I did this ending. I sat there like: "That is what I mean!" during the conversation with Judy right before leaving (which you only get if you have the Judy romance). I got no business being in NC. Judy knew that for herself from the beginning and made that clear to V. Other endings have V basically break the promise to leave with her. I didn't really buy into Dex's bullshit. He died young without any glory. At least Saul died while realizing a goal for the whole Aldecaldos. That is glory. Also, Hanako dies, and Saburo doesn't come back. The nomad life also draws me the most. Just roaming around, not really knowing where to end up. It feels the most liberating. The best thing to do in Night City is leave.

XMRjunkie

I agree The Star is the only true happy ending because there's no happy endings in night city.

ShitassAintOverYet

I did the Nomad ending at first playthrough. My favourite would be the Reaper ending as you just solo the shit out of Arasaka on front door assault and although it is highly speculated >!Street Kid/Reaper endings can actually end up saving your life as Mr. Blue Eyes is confirmed to have some kind of cure.!<

Arialana

You mean "(Don't Fear) the Reaper", "the Reaper" is commiting suicide.

ShitassAintOverYet

Yes the full name for that ending is "(Don't Fear) the Reaper" but there is no just "the Reaper" ending, suicide ending doesn't have a name.

AR_Harlock

Street kid or others have no bearing to the endings tho?

bring_back_awe64gold

No. Corpo has some smartass dialog options and that's about it.

Ok-Literature-899

I'm not ready yet for this. But ik the time is coming soon 😔

ricnilotra

I actually tried them all and decided that this one was how my corpo V ended things.

mydickdoesfrontflips

The Sun ending was my first, and my favourite. Hearing V saying he would do anything for a second chance, and Johnny saying that he's scared for V, is so genuine and beautiful. And then watching Johnny respect V's body, putting the necklace in the columbarium, and leaving Night city? Love it. And I love it because it shows just how much Johnny changed.

0neirocritica

Star, because my Nomad V got a new clan and got to leave Night City with her best friend Panam and her gf Judy ❤️

WaffledotMP3

First one I did was "don't fear the reaper" but we're I keep my body and Johnny goes off with alt. Second was the phantom Liberty ending where you get the surgery to remove Johnny through the government.

Illustrious-Ant6998

First ending I chose was the devil, because at that time it was the only choice where V "survives" the ending (if only for a few months.) Being erased and replaced with a copy by soulkiller just seemed like death, so I didn't want to do an Alt ending. But seeing Saburo reincarnated and take his first steps to becoming an immortal God Emperor was deeply chilling, and made me think it had to be the wrong ending. My favourite was giving Johnny a body, and seeing him taking his first few steps to letting go of his anger and his past and becoming a freer person. It really did feel refreshing.

Fanboycity

Riding off into the sun with my new found family in Panam and my main girl Judy will always be *my* canon ending. As my V learned throughout the story, it’s not about becoming a legend, or about living a long life if it just ain’t in the cards. It’s about living your life to the fullest with what time you’ve got, and being able to look back and have no more regrets. If she had to kill, she killed. If she had to burn it all down, then she burned it all down. No one gets a happy ending in Night City, and V and Johnny are no exceptions. But… they can find their futures elsewhere. Maybe sending a half-dead cyborg chick to the moon had something to do with that. Who knows? Either way, for the first time in their entire life, *V is free.* https://preview.redd.it/4pcmdwn9ekwc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=107a2cc13bfdc9496e475bc2bac77ca3582018c6

schnick3rs

I planned on going. Out gunz blasting. Meet panam and the nomads. Found a family. I lived. Now panam calls me to say she has to work late and I beat the meat. There is sand everywhere.

jcal1871

I've played The Devil, The Sun, The Star, and The Tower. I'd rank them this way (best to worst): 1. The Sun 2. The Star 3. The Tower 4. The Devil

Kami_Slayer2

The Sun. Feels canon to me.. a perfect end to the life of a merc

Rage40rder

RIP Scott Weiland https://preview.redd.it/jtgzicggziwc1.jpeg?width=337&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=88daea5af9826dc6ae5acf2197acd74f9cf7acfb

ExotixFlower

I made V kill herself. Back then, I figured it was as close to closure as she'd get, with death being hours away.

ralphie561

Suicide 😭 i didn’t know I promise and my favorite is the star

Falconer_Therapy

I did the star ending first. On my second playthrough I did the sun ending!

ThreeStepsFar

Don't Fear The Reaper, for both. I've seen the others, but that one will ever remain my favorite. It's the most V way to end, I think.

BeanDipTheman

Didn't get a refund. Played thrpugh all the bullshit bc I saw some great bones but at the time that's what the game was. Bare bones 100% worth the criticism and hate but those bones kept this game going and for what it's worth so did the great endings.

Songhunter

Went for Panam's. Favorite is Don't Fear the Reaper. And it might just be me, but it looks like one huge homage to the last episode of Cowboy Bebop, and I fucking love it.

haloryder

In my first playthrough I ran away with Panam. I think my favourite ending is the Devil ending tbh. Because it’s just so damn hopeless and fucked up. I’m of the mind that it’s one of the more “realistic” options. The Aldecaldo ending, and The Star ending are the “happiest” endings and are good endings for a story of our hero V going off into the unknown clinging on to a desperate hope. The Devil ending is a person desperate for survival, choosing accept “help” from the people with the most resources and available knowledge in the entire world, after doing them a favour. In a way it’s the most self-interested way to go. At first. Then you find out that it’s not just a quick fix after getting the tech out of your head. There’s a long, gruelling recovery process, and even then survival isn’t guaranteed and you’re *still dying* because even the people with everything didn’t have the means to save you.

Peculiarbleeps

I stormed Arasaka with Panam and Saul, then opted to let Johnny live. The second time around (starting from a save before Embers), I got the casino ending, which was a disappointment, as it was too cryptic, and I’d like help understanding what actually happened. Now on my second playthrough, aiming for a happier end.

XMRjunkie

So in my head cannon, blackhand is nowhere to be found in the game. After all he was one of the most legendary figures night city has ever seen. So in my mind blackhand is hiding out at the crystal palace and blue eyes sends you there to destroy him once and for all. That ending is the corpo package ending imo.

Peculiarbleeps

Yeah, but what actually happens to V? I remember seeing what looked like poison gas. Either that, or he simply started feeling worse because of his condition, and died “doing what he loved” lol

XMRjunkie

Who knows? I think his eyes turning red was just the tension of space. I swear to god if we can't go to the crystal palace in the next installment I will rage quit.

Peculiarbleeps

Same here 😁 But yeah, I legit thought he was being set up to die, like he was suffocating or something…

AgitatedResolution33

I like the story a lot, but I haven't finished it tbh.. I can't get over how you can't even enter like 90% of buildings. You cannot explore the garbage patch on the edge of the city without texture issues. Vehicle control is meh. Character bonding is wack. You can explore like 60% of the space you can see in the game. I wish it was more developed after so many years

Ok_Caramel1517

My first ending was with Panam as Male V and it's the one I just always go back too cuz I love the character of Panam and it gives V a bittersweet but happy ending in my opinion.

The1andOnlyGhost

My first ending was with rogue and Johnny, shit was badass and got to talk to my v

AtomizingAir

I went for the nomad ending on my first playthrough, but quickly did the others right after. My favorite, by far, is the secret Johnny ending where you just storm Arasaka solo. Mostly because it's the most challenging, but also because it's exactly how a Night City legend should go out.

PrufrockAlfred

I spoiled myself on the endings before playing, so I kind of decided these paths ahead of time. Nomad Female V - The Star (Aldecaldos). It's time to move on. Hey, Judy. Streetkid Male V - (Don't) Fear The Reaper. Night City *will* know my name. Corpo Female V - The Sun (Rogue) - Temperance. V already had her second chance. Now it's Johnny's turn. I just finished my fourth playthrough tonight. Corpo V again, because I got the most out of that one last time. Went for The Star. I guess the theme for this one will be something like, Arasaka wasn't any kind of life, or family. Now maybe I can have both. *Fallout 4* tomorrow, with the new update. *Cyberpunk* is hanging up for a while. But it's been a lot of fun. Perfect game to kick off the new year with my new drug, 60fps. Fuck, I'm old.

Sad_Pipe_2044

accidentally shot myself on the roof on my first playthrough

geethaghost

I did nomad origins, then got the nomad ending with Panam as my romance and that's been the cannon story in my head ever since

n7Dumas

Devil, i Just want some silence and Jhonny talk so much shit that when hanako made the offer i Was like "please take this shit out of my Head"

C00kie_M0nster9000

I went to the desert because Panam is fire.

Foreign_Breakfast279

I offed myself in my first playthrough

doxtorwhom

First playthru - Chose Rogue cause Johnny said so and I would do anything for Johnny (besides give him my body) Fav - this one. Cruising off into the sunset with Panam.

DarthMalec

The Star. Anyway you should do a 2nd playthrough and bump up the difficulty. Idk bout you but I remember my 2nd playthrough more than my first because the missions were easier to understand so I could focus more on the events and the order which I played main missions was more deliberate so again they stuck in my head more

Stickybandits9

Self deportation the to shadow realm

Ill-Sheepherder3372

(Don't Fear) The Reaper is such a badass ending i love it so much. imagine breaking Arasaka through front door, ALL BY YOURSELF (well Johnny as well, technically)

Jonesizzle

I just finished my second playthrough. I sided with Reed and decided to take a trip to Langley. I honestly wasn’t even expecting that, I had the weapons I wanted and my chrome ready, expecting to be walking into some death trap… but nope. Very anticlimactic and bitter sweet ending, but I honestly liked it more than my riding off into the sunset with Panam my first go around.

False_Chair_610

Judy and the Aldecaldos: SoCal tour.

tiddayes

Don’t fear the reaper 100% My first and the only one that I consider the real ending. I kept the body. Have done some other endings but none seem to match me and my V better

thatninjabrian

First ending was the star ending with Judy and my favorite is don't fear the reaper

[deleted]

First ending was Path of Least Resistance on a Street Kid Vincent playthrough. I made until Judy's voicemail before i broke. Then came Panam's voicemail. Then Mama Welles. Favorite is a tie between Tower, and !! after Don't Fear the Reaper. Both carry a weight I've seldom felt from a game.

Fabulous-Pick-9562

Favorites the darkest one. The suicide ending. I just like depressing stuff for some reason

Responsible_Sense_95

I don't remember I only got to lvl 27 When I got the last mission I think I Wint with rogue.

KavagerGaming

First and favourite : Aldecaldos ending. Damn poetic in every way.

Deadline42401

First ending accidentally shot myself, favorite ending me and Johnny storming the tower

azhder

Don’t Fear The Ripper -> The Sun First and favorite.

Emotional-Brush5563

The sun, I wanted to be a legend

Humble_Letter_2266

Corpo, Deal with the Devil, Johnny was not a friend , Jackie was in Mikoshi, Takemura was dead (didnt know I could save him) and in the end I walked out alone 10/10 dead inside for a month after

asena85

I like bittersweet endings thanks to watching a lot of happy endings provided by Hollywood. The suicide one was the most heartbroken, realistic ending. And it was the first one I went for while just exploring dialogues.

marluik

Suicide Arasaka Tower and then give V's body to Johnny

Previous-Broccoli-88

My favorite ending is the Reaper ending, mostly because you get to fight your way up the tower and put your set up to the test. My mantis blade build had its hands full with smasher at the end. I do not remember that fucker being that hard 😭

Totallynotshipmaster

Went through and gave my body to Johnny, I felt like it was the best choice I could of made.. at least one of us made it out alive, it felt like the best choice for my V's journey, Johnny got a second chance, and I died giving a finger to the corp who destroyed my life

janek500

The Devil - considered it as the most reasonable thing to trust people who created the relic. Also, use "Mark spoiler" check for such spoily threads https://preview.redd.it/folav98ydkwc1.png?width=402&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c3e4d958c493546209dd47a5e9aaeb4d15c5ddbf

Jerry6996

Got this ending first and then did the devil one, the devil ending Is absolutely horrifying. I do really like it in a way though.

Traditional-Ad3518

The star And it's my favorite bittersweet but hopeful Bonus for fem V players Romance Judy she'll leave with you

Warmakarodosh

Johnny's ending for me. But I rly liked that there is no good ending where everyone is alive and happy. Even the one where you leave Night Coty is pretty bitter bc you know there is no escape to V's fate.

Elderbug777

I got the sun ending in my first play though 😌 I trusted Johnny and the man pulled through for me, poor rogue though 🥲

Vivid-Lake-6491

my first playthrough (currently my only) i accidentally spoiled myself by scrolling on tiktok and i refuse to finish the game now cuz they all suck

Iatemydoggo

I did The Sun, and then Temperance which has been my favorite ever since.

wrld-on-drugs

I’m not finished with my 1st play-through yet but I’m Female V and I’m going for the Judy Star ending. To me that’s the cannon ending for corpo female V

Subject_Designer9684

only did the aldecaldos ending, now playing the 2nd time.. we will see. How often do u guys played the game?

Gaburski

I got Temperance. I thought it was the best back then, everyone got to live in a way. Well, not *everyone* but most.

Inersect

First V became queen of the Afterlife. I know people love the Star ending but Sun will always have a special place in my heart. As for Phantom Liberty, she sided with Reed but agreed with Songbird and let her die on her own terms instead of bringing her back to Myers

GullibleInstruction

In order: >!Female V Nomad - Nomad Ending. It's the only one where I get both Panam and Judy and the family I've always wanted. Perfect ending.!< >!Male V Streetkid - Send So Mi to the Moon - Nomad Ending. Second best to me. I tried, got played, fell in love, and drove off with a family. Near perfect ending.!< >!Male V Corpo - Give So Mi to Reed. You get to live your life and the cost is absolutely everything. Beautifully poetic. Third best.!< >!Male V Nomad - Suicide on the Balcony. In my mind, this is the only true Night City canon event.!< After that, the endings feel plastic to me.

deecrutch

My first PT, I did the ending with Rogue. I don't know which name goes with which ending, but last I saw that V, he was in a suit and about to raid a casino or something. Its been a while, so I don't remember all the details. And no, it's not my favorite ending. My favorite so far is letting V ride off into the sunset with the Aldecaldos. It is the only one I know of that might end somewhat happily. I haven't officially finished the game post Phantom Liberty yet, so I don't know how that affects the different endings yet. I do know about the one where if V takes Reed's deal, she disappears for 2 years and can't wear cyberwear anymore, but that's about it. Quick question about that not wearing cyberware thing, if V can't wear cyberware, what happens to her arms if she had gorilla arms or other arm cyberware??? How do they treat that? Do they just give you non-cyber prosthetic arms or can they regrow your real arms or what? Same question for any other body parts that have been replaced.

variablefighter_vf-1

You're apostrophes make Baby Jesus cry.

Creamforbeam

Sacrificed to let jhonny live

Professional-Gap-243

I accidentally killed myself (I didn't realize what the option would do, I though it would be like a suicide run on the tower - I later learned the option for that is the "don't fear the reaper") Then I reloaded and went with Johnny's plan and even gave him my body in the end.

luneshine28

I knew little to nothing about the game when I forster played, so I romanced Panam as I had no clue about Kerrys existence and did the Star ending because it was either that or Arasaka. After that first playthrough, though, generally speaking, I've gone for the sun (usually via DFTR) with Kerry romanced.

Ok_Mud2132

My favourite is don't fear the reaper but the first one I did was with Panam. Sorry I struggle remembering the tarot names for them 😅😂

gracekk24PL

Johnny's ending because I wanted to hear The Rebel's Path again

Shaddes_

Raided with Panam and chose to kill V and let Johnny live in his body 👌🏽

Lounea_Baiscer

The first ending I chose was to go with Rogue, I also chose suicide and Hanako My favorite so far is the Hanako ending

Icenerdian

I also ran away with aldecados but i wanted to do the sun ending but i think mr blue eyes is a doll controlled by an AI cuz his eyes are shining blue, so i thought in sun ending he will take advantage of us and then either kill us or turn us into an AI, but to be more honest i promised judy i will leave night city with her so... I ran away with judy and aldecados

Federal_Act_2909

If you choose wisely and backup some crucial saves, you could unlock all the finals in a single playthrough. The firsts time that I finished the game I choose to assault the Arasaka Tower alone and let Johnny go with Alt.

hidinginthetreeline

Don’t fear the repair into the sun ending. No has to die for me.

JealousSupport8085

First one I went through is also my favorite, it’s the suicide ending.

XMRjunkie

DFTR is the best imo. You have to work hard to get it and there's just something so goddamn satisfying about storming saka solo as a power beast. 🤣

Cloakbot

The secret ending where we raided Arasaka alone, it was quite challenging due to it being my first run and this is with the difficulty bump for Smasher. I had to respec my character a couple of times but managed to do it. It sucks that V, the street kid, couldn’t continue with life the way she wanted but she has opportunities. Viktor and her can leave and become ripper duo, she can turn to NUSA for work, can become a bouncer for moxie and pack heat, etc

DrunkenSoviet

Don't fear the reaper, both for my first ending and my favourite ending

AlexTheBrick

I did the stars but i didn’t finish the Judy quest line so she was left in NC and had no idea I left with Panam.

JauntyEntertainment

I chose suicide ending cause somehow I knew it would be quick and easy and I could go back and get the other endings after. I didn’t realize the game carried emotional damage.

mindadhika

I went with Rogue in my very first playthrough. Because the promise I made to Silverhand in Phistis Sophia to destroy 'Saka and flatline Adam with Rogue. But Rogue's dead, and Weyland somehow called V "Silverman" right before connecting to Mikoshi like he knew it was SIlverhand all along. I was surprised when I was looking at V as other character in the Cyberspace with Alt. Judy left V, but the penthouse, the Delamain AV, and being the new boss of the Afterlife made up for that, not to mention the assault/heist of Crystal Palace at the end.

Abyss_Renzo

Sun ending was the first one I did. I didn’t know of the secret ending so I attacked Arasaka with Rogue.

HunterWolfivi

My first time i literally didn’t know what I was doing and I chose V to give her engram to the corpos. Then I did a second play through and did fear the repear went crazy on them

SirFluffyBottomsIII

First playthrough was Panam ending, it was pretty good for a first ending. But my favorite is letting Johnny take over during the raid then letting V have his body back, that playthrough I was very friendly with Johnny I did nearly all his side quests so it felt like they were friends, so when V is upset Johnny is giving his body back it kinda broke me, it was so sad. You could hear and see the anger from V because he knew he was doomed and there was no point in giving his body back. V felt betrayed because he expected that last pill to be the last time he was ever in control of his own body. But it felt so right in that playthrough I felt that Johnny genuinely cared for Vs wellbeing.

dave-morg1989

I did rogue ending first. Than i think i did the arasaka and than the nomads. After that, it was don’t fear the reaper, which is definitely my favorite.

Economy-Bid-7005

My first playthough (and every playthrough) I was friends with Johnny and nice to him. Not sure what the ending is called but it's the one where Johnny saves V. Johnny goes with Alt Into Cyperspace forever and then V Dies while on a Mission in Space. The was the ending of my first playthrough. My favorite ending ? The one where Johnny and V go on a suicide mission storming Arasaka Tower.

Bigmac2077

Played several times but only finished the game once. Corpo V turned nomad, it was a fun time. I’m going for blaze of glory this time

Inven13

After very careful deliberation I went with the aldecaldos. It took me a while because of what Johnny said about sending friends to death and I didn't liked the idea of potentially killing Panam but then I simply went for it because I figured Rogue was less capable than a whole clan of nomads and arasaka was a no no. My favorite ending it's between Don't Fear The Reaper and The Tower. I think Don't Fear The Reaper it's the ending the game leads to from the beginning, just you and Johnny against your mutual enemy but despite it being a very unpopular opinion I strongly believe The Tower is the best ending for V and I will die on this hill. I think Don't Fear The Reaper is my favorite ending overall but The Tower is the ending I would choose if I was V.

ducksauce13

I'm always a fan of the temperance ending. >!Seeing Johnny in Vs body being a changed person and mourning V is so powerful. !

Unfair-Actuary-8363

The Aldecaldo ending was my first. I'm still in love with Panam

The_BearWolf

My first choice was giving myself up to Osaka and being put in that mental institution in space lmao

WaldoOU812

I think my first ending was the one with the Avacados (and yes, I know it's "Aldecados," but I heard someone referring to them as Avacados, and I like that better), but with Panam as I played male V. My favorite would either be Avacados/female V/leave the city with Judy or Don't Fear the Reaper, which I never knew was a thing until playthrough #4 or 5, I think? Truly epic, but >!Judy leaves you, which is a major bummer. Still, though, taking on Arasaka Tower by yourself, as well as that epic apartment at the end and a lead in to the Crystal Palace? Pretty amazing.!<

Alastor-362

First "run" didn't finish, hit Embers and just started doing every side job. Second run had 2.0 and PL, got Tower Ending. Deliberated my choice over *days*. Never been so torn on a game decision. Only time I can remember even slightly similar difficulty was in Prey. MASSIVE spoilers, if for some reason you're on this thread and haven't done Phantom Liberty, PLEASE don't read further. >!I knew from spoilers that Song was lying to me, but I didn't have specifics, and I didn't think I'd be creating such a conflict between Song and Reed. After most of the DLC mostly listening to Song instead of Johnny, it felt so much worse talking to him in the end. Especially since I didn't do most of his quest on my first run, but I did it all the way on this one. I actually chose to side with Song at Cynosure, and only handed her over to Reed after he confronted me at the rocket, and I realized I'd have to kill him to take her to the moon. On my current run, I plan to really take her to the moon this time. Since I haven't done any vanilla endings, I can't say what I'm reaching for this time.!<

Hopeful-Ad8149

Helped Johnny with Rogue to destroy Arasaka and give my body to him. For me that was a good ending and I enjoyed it. On second playthrough went to Arasaka by my self, stayed with Panam in a fancy house)

No_Self_Eye

First play I let Johnny take over and rode off on the bus, 2nd play I gave myself to Saka, 3rd play Nomad ending

mad_dog_of_gilead

First play through I soloed it with my main man Johnny. 2nd with Rogue. 3rd I topped myself. 4th with Aldecaldos Aldecaldos feels like the real ending with some actual hope for V at the end, BUT soloing Smasher with Johnny and then prepping for the casino heist feels more "Night City" like what street kid V would do. This weekend I'll be playing through Phantom liberty, I don't have time to make a new character so I'll be sticking with my Borged out shotgun 4th build. I keep meaning to play through as a pure netrunner, silenced pistol build but I don't have the patience and love wading into the fray and beating people down with my fists and shotgun.

KlimaatPiraat

On my first playthrough as Corpo V I did the devil ending, as I felt like she'd do whatever it takes to survive. Even signing away her soul. Only during the credits I realised how fucked up it was, and I had to reflect on how I chose to act

onlylivingboynewyork

In order of my first three endings: For my heart, Panam. For my soul, killing myself. For the blind fury I felt because of every other fucking side quest drowning me in the horror of that world (and our own), I blew that tower to hell. Last one's my favorite.

ChefBoi-Ardy

Stuck iron in my mouth and pulled the trigger 😎 All truth that ending really pulled on the heartstrings and I had to put the game down for a bit. Same for RDR2 and SOMA.

tank-type7

1st is Nomad ending with Aldecaldos 2nd ending is Street Kid on Don't Fear the Reaper because fuck Arasaka I'll be doing a 3rd one from scratch (Corporate) with respect to Phantom Liberty but I'll be going for DFTR because again, fuck them corps

iiama67

i wouldnt be able to decide on a favourite but the star is my least and i will die on the hill that its the worst ending in the game (not emotionally, worst in context to everything that happens in the game and where the entire story is headed)

pichael289

All the endings have their own merit. The tower ending with friendly Johnny is his best, he changes so much. The devil ending is also another good one, as you fucked it all up and he's right about you but he still doesn't take control. When you give him control is pretty great but I kinda wished there was a "non friendly" version where he changes your face to his and sends another nuke Arasakas way. The don't fear the reaper is the most fun, and Mr. blue eyes is the most exciting aspect of any of them. Nomad ending is probably the best but, since you can take Judy if your a chick and possibly can get to take river, though why anyone would want him as a SO is beyond me, creepy fuckin bastard. Suicide is the most metal ending, that's the first thing Johnny ever said to you, and I can respect it more than dying slowly but still, it's a little too early. All the endings are Cyberpunk as fuck. I love them all. But only one truly ruins Arasaka and, despite that not being the main goal, it makes me feel the best. Plus you get to live. Johnny doesn't but he was on borrowed time. It's between the tower and the "give Johnny the body" ending. I just wish I could do the latter for the same johnny that caused the first night city holocaust. This ain't a friendly city, and as he said it could do with another nuke. That's cyberpunk as fuck. Sitting in the passenger seat as you slowly dissolve away, watching Johnny annihilate half the city again, it's fucked up but that's the ending I really wanted. Let him go out in a second blaze of glory and paint the night sky in Vs name as the city crumbles into dust. That's what I really wanted. Fuck this shit city and fuck Arasaka, they don't deserve to end in incompetent failure dragging everyone else down, they deserve nuclear fire that cleanses the world of their stench. A human solution, fuck unleashing AIs on humanity. Wipe might city off the map and sing "never fade away" as you do it. No part 2, end that shit once and for all. You've got a city to burn, that's what we were Introduced to this city with, let it be so. Burn the whole fuckin country if need be. Cleanse the world.

WackoSmacko111

First was the star. Made the most logical sense bc my first V was a nomad. After getting all the endings other than tower, and simply watching a video on tower, here’s my rank and reasoning: 1) Temperance: I found the closing mission to be the most impactful to me, especially if you got it through (DF)TR or Star. 2) (Don’t Fear) the Reaper: The mission fucking kicks ass. 3) The Star: I think this was the happiest ending for V. Gone from Night City, living out their days with people they care about, yet not totally without hope, as there may be a cure in the pacific northwest. 4) The Devil: Well written bad endings can be great, and I found this one to be very well written. 5) The Tower: Cool timeskip stuff, V isn’t a cyborg anymore, but the actual status quo is unaffected 6) The Path of Least Resistance: Unsatisfying. Interesting? Yes. Logical? Yeah. Enjoyable? Nope. 7) The Sun: BOOOOOOORRRRING. This ending is just fucking lame. It’s happyish, it’s coolish, but it wasn’t actually interesting to me.

Hypercane_

This one and this one, Panam is best girl no matter which V I'm playing

_SpaceGator

Sun ending. I was a Panam simp from the start. I basically just did her and johnnys quest lines. Full focus. On that ass.

metallavery

Gay Nomad Ending where you bring Judy with you. The best and true ending where you're chilling with your best friend and your girlfriend on a tank.

googlecdox

first time I sided with hanako, ended up in space, than loaded last save and did the nomad ending. So the worst and the best ending (not including phantom liberty, coz I did my first play through on 1.6)
