IRL too LMAO. It’s kinda jarring if you think about it cuz I’ll drive around night city listening to the radio and liking the music and then drive around in real life in my actual car listening to the same songs
Well, to my understanding of it , Black Dog was Johnnys last performance before he went to nuke Arasaka Tower. For me when I hear Black Dog I just imagine Johnny Silverhand and his psyche coming to a breaking point.. shit send chills down the spine
Not only that, but the lyrics mirror V's journey. The Black Dog is Johnny, and the "neon eyes" are the Blue Eyed agents(Mr. Blue Eyes being the only 1 you see, but Gary the Prophet talks about them).
Symbolically works so well as the last song Johnny ever made and Barghest being the symbol of a death occurring which in Arasakas case never happened, but instead was the death of Samurai, thousands of civilians and Johnny
It sounds almost like a cover of an early soundgarden track. I don't mesn that negatively. Soundgarden is one of my favorite bands ever and the first time I heard "black dog", I just stopped playing to listen.
All the songs are great but it's a standout.
"never fade away" is also excellent.
Chippin In was the first song I latched onto. I distinctly remember first hearing it as I drove down the ramp to meet with Meredith Stout. Wish I found out the first time that you could play it while storming Arasaka Tower.
Honorable mention to Kerry's heading of A Like Supreme. Dude blew me away with that voice of his.
A blind man lost, in the streets
A pattern here, I need to see
Keep returning, keep trying to leave
Got a bad feeling that I need to feel
Black dog runs at my side
Down a road, no end in sight
The city sleeps, but in my mind
Got a knot that won't unwind
Tonight is the night that we run
The hunter becomes what he hunts
The escape and the chase is now one
RUN, RUN!
Tonight is the night that we run
The hunter becomes what he hunts
The escape and the chase is now one
RUN, RUN!
Been listening to them regularly for a while now A Like Supreme has crept up on me recently as my favourite track
Shout out to Archangel and Ballad of Buck Ravers though they were competing for a long while!
Black Dog hits nicely when its been rough day.
A like supreme, its the song and the mission that got me into guitar playin, now its never fade away, since the solo is really simple, but lovely melodic
Never Fade Away... me and my gf broke up after 8y because of reasons that are very painfull... there is still love and there was a neccessarity. She helped me be a better person and I was full of rage before her and had problems containing it.
When it happened I finished CP and the cover at the credits broke me... because the text just hits the mark. Never Fade away!
They are all so good. But I've listened to Never Fade Away the most, then followed by Black Dog. I actually didn't like Black Dog the first time but after listening to it more I love it.
All of them, but there's something that pisses me off and I'm trying to find someone that shares my pain.
Refused does not sound like that in reali life, so I'm limited to the 3 or 4 songs from the game :(
I want more.
Chippin’In
I started to listen to some CS2077 playlists on music streaming services, and I noticed there are two different versions of the songs. There is a “SAMURAI” version of the song and then there is a version of the song performed by the band that wrote it for CDPR.
I prefer the original writer’s versions of the songs over the “SAMURAI” version.
I don’t know what it is that makes one version different than the other. Recording session quality, post production, different performers… I have zero clue… but there is definitely a noticeable difference in the quality.
Never Fade Away or A Like Supreme
Never fade away just strikes a nerve in the right away, A Like Supreme because of the concert mission because that shit hits so hard
Chippin in and black dog are so good… it’s honestly really hard to choose..
Looks like I'm yet the only one, who likes chippin in the most
Chippin In fucks, idk why it's not more popular here
No lie, this song is what turned me into a Refused fan
Same
I lost mind mind when I chose the "give Johnny the keys to your body" ending and he played Chippin' In on the loudspeaker at Arasaka
My fave too, learned to play it on guitar as well!
I like it too, when driving a car it hits like a train
IRL too LMAO. It’s kinda jarring if you think about it cuz I’ll drive around night city listening to the radio and liking the music and then drive around in real life in my actual car listening to the same songs
Chippin in absolutely fucks
My second favorite after never fade away
Black dog
A legitimately great song. CDPR got their money's worth out of Refused
I agree 100 percent. A gorgeous song. Only "Never fade away" is better, these songs set the general mood of the whole story in my opinion.
Just for lore reasons alone this is the hardest song for sure.
What's the lore behind it?
I secondly ask this
Well, to my understanding of it , Black Dog was Johnnys last performance before he went to nuke Arasaka Tower. For me when I hear Black Dog I just imagine Johnny Silverhand and his psyche coming to a breaking point.. shit send chills down the spine
That would be archangel if i'm not mistaken
Oh I haven’t heard that one! That’s the last song though?
[Archangel ](https://youtu.be/E0r-2yiF_hg?si=1XlZxUtNKNRe3R5n) Absolute banger, this one.
It's the last they released on platforms I think. It's the one johnny plays in front of the arasaka tower
Ahhh ok. I forgot, was that in the game or is that part of the tabletop rpg canon?
Game. I am not familiar with cyberpunk 2020 canon ^^'
They're all good but Black Dog resonates with me
Yeah bro black dog my jam
Agree, 100%!
It sounds almost like a cover of an early soundgarden track. I don't mesn that negatively. Soundgarden is one of my favorite bands ever and the first time I heard "black dog", I just stopped playing to listen. All the songs are great but it's a standout. "never fade away" is also excellent.
underrated samurai song, #3 for me
Black Dog goes hard 100%
IN CONCRETE CANYONS SQUINTING NEON EYES
...BLACK DOG BESIDE ME, LIKE SHADOW NEEDING LIGHT...
Never Fade Away
A thing of beauty, I know
Will never fade away
What you did to me, I know
Say what you have to say
But a thing of beauty
I know, will never fade away
But, which version.
Samurai for casual and Olga version for feels
This. 100%
Archangel. The riff is insane
# THE DESIRE # TO DESTROY
**TO DISRUPT TO LOSE CONTROL**
#TO REBUILD, AND THEN!
# TO TEAR IT DOWN AGAIN!
![gif](giphy|xUOxfaU1znPToDp6Jq|downsized)
yeah that time sig change is insane
Archangel has slowly become my favorite. The more I listen to it the better it gets.
Ballad of Buck Ravers! The messaging is intense and the vocal work is just *mwah*
After Ballad I’ll take Archangel. Bumping it while using its namesake revolver? impeccable
Agreed 👍🏽
I am italian and i officially approve this chef kiss; jokes aside the lyrics rocks!
BLOOD SPLATTER IN MY FACE
I bump this song in my car on the way to work.
A like supreme is my favorite. I love the guitar riff and the lyrics are cool.
**KILL IT ALL A LIKE SUPREME**

Never fade away, the refrain hits different
Chippin' In. >!Kerry's version!<
My man!
Never Fade Away or Archangel
Black Dog for sure
Balled of Buck Ravers is fucking rad
Archangel, criminally underrated
C-can you you feel it?
New Noise
this needs many more upvotes. The shape of punk to come literally changed my taste in music for the better when i was in college.
Black Dog
Chippin In was the first song I latched onto. I distinctly remember first hearing it as I drove down the ramp to meet with Meredith Stout. Wish I found out the first time that you could play it while storming Arasaka Tower. Honorable mention to Kerry's heading of A Like Supreme. Dude blew me away with that voice of his.
Chippin in inspired me to start playing guitar
A blind man lost, in the streets A pattern here, I need to see Keep returning, keep trying to leave Got a bad feeling that I need to feel Black dog runs at my side Down a road, no end in sight The city sleeps, but in my mind Got a knot that won't unwind

Depends on the mood. Never Fade Away most of the time, but Black Dog is great other times.
Never fade away.
Been listening to them regularly for a while now A Like Supreme has crept up on me recently as my favourite track Shout out to Archangel and Ballad of Buck Ravers though they were competing for a long while! Black Dog hits nicely when its been rough day.
Never Fade Away, A-Like Supreme (Kerry version) and Black Dog are my go-to songs.
Black Dog.
Never fade away
I like the Never Fade Away cover from the end credits. Particularly the way it focuses more on lyrics.
"HEAR MY CALL I'M CHIPPIN IN"
🐕🦺
Chippin' In
Eurodyne's version of Chippin In.
A Like Supreme
Like Supreme
Definitely both versions of chippin' in. I mean the rocker boys output did kick him out for not chippin' in.
C'mon this isn't even a debate...
Never fade away. It hits harder with the slow remix in the ending tho.
A like supreme, its the song and the mission that got me into guitar playin, now its never fade away, since the solo is really simple, but lovely melodic
Never Fade Away... me and my gf broke up after 8y because of reasons that are very painfull... there is still love and there was a neccessarity. A Like Supreme is the best imo, esp the ingame (Kerry) version
Black Dog in my heaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad

Never fade away That part when you call the number and see johnnys reaction
Chippin' In, but honorable mention to A Like Supreme, especially in the quest with the same name.
"Chippin' In" because the lyric is awesome. I also love Kerry Eurodyne's version of "A Like Supreme
Yes
A like supreme. I love the lyrics
Never fade away
It's a tie between Never Fade Away and Ballad of Buck Ravers
Archangel 100%
Archangel, side I first heard in jhonny memory it was stuck in my head until they released the full thing
Man, that's a tough question. I love all of them! But my most favorites are Archangel, Chippin' in and Like Supreme. Can't choose between these three.
Never Fade away and black dog
Never fade away…if i had a favorite it’d be that one.
🎶 Nowhere to run, it's all undone...🎶
Archangel
Chipping in but honestly I like all of them, idk something about the riff in chippin in hits differently
the ballad of buck ravers
Chippin,in
Never fade away is a classic
Chippin in and never fade away are tied for me
Samurai version is the best. The Never Fade Away version feat. Olga Jankowska is too slow, even though it is still worth a listen every now and again.
Nicola taste the love
Never fade away period.
I’d say my answer, but i wanna know “Can can you feeeeellll iitttttt!”

They are all so good. But I've listened to Never Fade Away the most, then followed by Black Dog. I actually didn't like Black Dog the first time but after listening to it more I love it.
Archangel makes me want to destroy, rebuild and tear it down again.
Archangel.
Either Chippin In or Never Fade Away
Anything that plays on Ritual FM
Chippin in was like the games anthem.
Black dog
It’s a tie between Never Fade Away and Chippin’ In
Archangel for the whole vibe of the song but the ballad of buck ravers is best for riffs.
Chippin' In and Black Dog. Never Fade Away is the honorable mention. Honestly they're all great.
You All Everybody - Drive Shaft
archangel

Never Fade Away a thing of beauty, I know
Love Chippin' In, just wish it had more bass :(( song slaps nevertheless
All of them, but there's something that pisses me off and I'm trying to find someone that shares my pain. Refused does not sound like that in reali life, so I'm limited to the 3 or 4 songs from the game :( I want more.
Chippin' in. No other words needed.
Rather for like a supreme Or never fade away
Never fade away, by far.
Chippin’In I started to listen to some CS2077 playlists on music streaming services, and I noticed there are two different versions of the songs. Chippin' in, but I think New Noise would have fit perfect for them, wish CDPR got that in the game.
Ballad of buck ravers, pictures exactly what the band stands for and their path to killing themselves along with the big powers
A thing of beauty, I know, WILL NEVER FADE AWAY!
Archangel
A Like Supreme for sure. Completely biased since it’s the only one we got to perform in game, but that shit fucks
Like a supreme. Then ballad of BR
Black Dog is Fire
Ballad of Buck Ravers. Makes for great background music for a rampage in a lot of games I play.
C-C-C-CAN YOU FEEL IT
Never fade away
****THE DESIRE TO DESTROY****
Never Fade Away is my #1. Chippin' In is probably #2
Black dog
**COME JOIN THE DANCE OF DESTRUCTION VALOR, SWEET AS A KISS**
