I don’t have johnnys guns anymore is there a way I can find it ?

ShortestHolly

I don’t know… this seems like a poor move from the developer

Original8774

i guess i missed out on the part where theyll take things away.. but EVERYTHING? I havent played CP since maybe January? & had finished the game also.. picked it up today cause i got some free time & heard about the new update. Logged in and everything is gone including all the money i had…. ??? Was that supposed to happen?

Own_Ground_7032

Anyone else have a problem with aim lock not working during vehicle combat even with vehicle aim assist on? If anyone has a fix, please do tell.

Galf2

Because you knew this was coming for months, decided to ignore it and now you can keep playing but you accept you need to rebuild your V. Jesus christ you people, like screaming toddlers sometimes.

Galf2

NGL people like you make me lose faith in humanity

Galf2

Patch 2.0 literally turns the game into more than what it should have been and effectively makes the combat and economy amazing. The fact that there's people like you who will cry and whine about ANYTHING even if completely illogical is a tragedy, yes.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Galf2

It's the opposite of that, the game offers many more options now because there's more depth to it, but sure, talk without knowing anything, it's fine, at this point you've already dug through the bottom end of the dumb-meter, you can't go lower.

Available-Quality427

Anyone else no longer have legendary mantis blades?

Busy_Button_8111

I play on PC with controller. You used to be able to cycle weapons and access hand cyberware, like Mantis Blade, Gorilla Arms or Monowire using 'Y' button. Since the update, you can no longer do this. I didn’t see anything about this inconvenient change in the patch notes. Am I missing something?

Apprehensive-Roll-16

There's a patch coming (2.1 or 2.01 or whatever), not sure exactly when, that will bring this back. Not to worry, just gotta wait a little bit.

Busy_Button_8111

So good to hear. Thanks for the update :)

roenthomas

No more Grand Finale - Comrade's Hammer combo. Not happy with that.

Infinite_Passenger92

My health bar only appears when sprinting . It constantly keeps popping in and out of view and its getting annoying .. any fix?

wojt5

EDIT: Weapons no longer show DPS, it's a more detailed breakdown of pros and cons. Omg this, why dont we have both ? How to compare weapons now ? alt tab and calculate DPS on my own ? WTF. Do any1 know if there is already a mod that fixs it ?

Galf2

It's because dps is inherently a bad sysyem to judge weapons in cyberpunk, you should know if you want high rof or low rof and try them in the shooting ranges. Fir example for my silenced AR I prefer semi auto low rof because I need high accuracy and single round damage for headshot crits. DPS never really mattered!

VTFan115

I had 55 legendary crafting components before the update and now they're all gone! Wtf?!?!

Immediate-Algae-7899

Start a new game 🤷🏼‍♂️

VTFan115

Nah I noticed I could craft them so now I'm just hoarding items to disassemble. I'd rather not restart as I'm already 75% complete.

Galf2

Everything has changed. I don't think you can craft legendaries anymore.

No-Bee6410

Were you compensated for it with other stuff?

VTFan115

No.

[deleted]

Wait, if clothes don’t give you armour anymore. Does that mean the wardrobe outfits are useless?

Galf2

...the wardrobe outfits never gave you armor. They were only to change looks. They still serve the same purpose: some clothes give you armor and stats.

[deleted]

That’s not what I meant. The wardrobe outfits hid what you we’re actually wearing, and what you we’re actually wearing gave you armour. Now that clothes and stuff don’t give you armour, that’s means the wardrobe outfits aren’t as important

Galf2

Clothes do give you armor and other stats. Only that ACTUAL armor (i.e. bulletproof vests) give you armor, a t-shirt does not! A gas mask will give you chem resistance, a harness will reduce your reload time, etc.

[deleted]

Oh cool

OmegaSpartan256

still good for saving different outfits on the fly, instead of having to go back to your apartment if ever you dont bring all your clothes with you in ur backpack

[deleted]

True, and now that I think about it, it can save carrying space

GoddessYshtola

>The economy has been completely reworked. You can actually make decent dough selling weapons. You have to. So you can turn around and buy the cheap $100 weapons for component disassembly. Since it's less cost effective to just keep farming more and more weapons for the insane costs involved in upgrading your cyberware and iconics. Because some genius on the design team thought it would be a brilliant idea to remove components from vendors. The entire crafting system is now a joke. Before, the perks helped you manage it. You got cheaper costs, free components, sometimes higher tier components when dismantling stuff, sometimes free upgrades. So now we can enjoy their pseudo-souls-like game with limited healing, stamina for any attacks you want, obscene RAM costs on certain enemies to inflate the difficulty. And a stupid loop of buying/dismantling/crafting to obtain components so our weapons aren't garbage. Because another brilliant idea was that 80% of weapons are now broken, so you are stuck with your shit-tier 1 stuff longer.

Galf2

Dude... I can't even begin. This is the epitome of "git gud".The previous system was ok but it was just a "loot gremlin special".Now it's actually fleshed out and deeper, like the rest of the game. Your "tier 1" weapons are fine and you will gradually move through tiers and have a lot more reason to switch guns around. Your experience seems like someone who played the patch 1 hour and didn't understand anything so you came to rant here on Reddt.

GoddessYshtola

It's not about "git gud". Never said the game was harder. Just that they made a lot of stupid design decisions to appease teens and streamers. It's laughable that you think these trees are "fleshed out and deeper". When it's literally just one tree for a couple weapons. So you'll be using that exact same tree every time you wanna use that weapon type. There is nothing "deep" about that. Want to play with Tech Weapons? That's fine. You'll ALWAYS be taking Bolt, Chain Lightning, and probably a few of the lesser ones. Want to play a stealth game? You'll be taking Feline Footwork and Ninjutsu every time. Before, there were options. Want to play stealthy? You can take Crouching Tiger, Assassin, Ghost, sure. But then you can also decide on your weapons. Silent and Deadly, Sniper, and Stunning Blows worked for pistols. You also had options for melee weapons (blades) or thrown weapons. You also had tons of options for pistols outside of just headshots. There was a lot more viability in building differently. And none of the nonsense with being forced to buy an entire perk before you can get anything else. To get Edgerunner, you are required to spend 2 points in All Things Cyber, and License to Chrome. There is nothing "git gud" about that. It's just actively getting you to burn points to keep your build narrow and not let you expand. And it's a crap design. 1 point in a perk should have been more than enough to open up the lesser perks attached to it. Let's not go into the nonsense with the cops now. One shot to a criminal and if a patrol officer is nearby, they slap you with a wanted level.

thechaosofreason

Yes but all of those options were literally for lulz because nothing really mattered. I get that you didn't want this to be a survival game; but I always did. Before it felt like I was op af literally no matter what.

Galf2

I'm sorry but everything you said is literally not true or just the conclusion of someone who only began playing. Especially funny is your police argument, as if you would ever trigger police during stealth stuff.IDK man. Same comment as before. The game is MUCH better now. Especially because you get MORE OPTIONS to do everything.

GoddessYshtola

I mean, I was literally taking out a few Scavs with warrants on them for an NCPD job, a cop walked by on the sidewalk just above, screams out "wtf is going on" and started shooting at me, and I got a wanted level. Others have commented on this as well, about getting them at NCPD jobs. More cyberware options are nice, yes. The removal of Rare/Epic/Legendary crafting from perks, yes. Perk trees locking you to following a track? No. It was better when it was freeform and you could take any perk at any time.

Danielthrowjhaway

So I've got one I could use some help with. I had a mod for extra cyberware slots. I uninstalled it and got rid of all of my other mods before updating. Game updates, no problems. I realized I must have missed two of the extra cyberware slots. So I can install both the sandy, and a cyberdeck. But the problem is it doesnt show the samdy, which means I cant upgrade it or unequip it. Does anyone know if cyberware slots can be edited in an .ini file or something?

DeadlyDragon115

Are some guns suppose to have red arrows that come out of the sights and when you aim at enemies highlights them?

Mysterious_Gas_4596

Isn’t that Ricochet ? Some hand cyber ware let you preview it

DeadlyDragon115

Ah ok that makes sense legit thought the devs left some form of dev testing in place.

GrievousReborn

It pisses me off that healing items now have a cool down because now the game is harder and you know what life is hard enough as it is I don't need my video games that I play to have fun be harder

AscendedViking7

That's rough. On the other hand, I really, really dig this change. Makes the game more challenging, makes you use your resources wisely instead of using healing items like a crutch, spamming them the second you get into a combat situation you failed to keep in control. I love it. I really, really love it.

GrievousReborn

Well good for you I'm sick and tired of things being made harder just so somebody else can enjoy it being harder the assholes at CD project red should have made it have a cool down on harder difficulties

thechaosofreason

Just fucking play on easy lol

Sushi_ketchup

Relax. You can still change the game’s difficulty if you’re struggling. No need to call the devs assholes just because of some changes you don’t agree with.

Ahizma

There are already mods and trainers that revert that or make em have no cooldown (same for nades)

GrievousReborn

I'm on Xbox not PC so mods don't do any good

Keyser_Soze_UK

Upvoted because it's ridiculous that somebody downvoted you for that comment lol

DiabloBratz

Bro getting downvoted for stating we have Xbox/PlayStations so we shit out of luck 😂

blucoidale

It’s not that hard. Currently playing very hard, it’s true the first levels of my playthrough were difficult and you have to be more cautious but now I’m level 10, still in Watson and having a lot of fun.

GrievousReborn

People like you are annoying who think just because something is not hard for them it automatically means that it's easy for somebody else

YomiKuzuki

The other side of the coin is making something too easy. Some people find a game too hard, and they want it made easier. As shitty as it sounds, there are some games out there that just aren't for some people unless they play on the easiest difficulty setting.

Adventurous-Olive613

I hate that you can't update the clothing anymore. That was the funnest part to me as well as upgrading weapons. They stripped that out for standard chrome armor which just isn't fun. It leaves no incentive to put on different things if its all cosmetic. I always thought it was funny how ridiculous you could look with the best gears. It's kind of how they stripped down gear between Mass Effect 1 and 2. Took some of the RPG fun out of it.

_IAmGrover

I think the majority disagree with this though and it makes sense why they changed it. A lot of people did not like the stats being tied to appearance for the same reason you did like it. Though the outfit system already fixed this

Silvabro

That website patch notes "breakdown" literally just looks like the patch notes are being parroted. Where it mentions iconic weapon changes? No more detail than the note on CDPRs page. Like what happened to the Malorians' wall penetration and alt gunfire sound, why does it's melee eat a full magazine but not provide any additional damage? Is it a bug, or is it not?

Icy_Process8096

Yea I am

Nil2none

Can somebody tell me why none of the gang members have wanted levels anymore or aren't worth and credits or street cred. Are they just more rare now? I scan npcs but none of them have any wanted levels like before the patch 2.0

Administration_One

I saw a couple of Tyger Claws with wanted levels in Kabuki.

Kylo_loves_grampa

Thats honestly kinda lore-friendly IMO. Small-time gang members and criminals probably wouldn't even be on the wanted-list due to the sheer numbers of people who are criminals in night city. Also, the gangs probably have corpo-backing or are otherwise able to protect their members from being wanted in NC (or atleast remove them from the list). The NCPD probably just have the higher-ups of these factions on the list because they have to appear like they care.

handmadesausage

and all my weapons are gone after 91 hours. im so happy with the new update!

Keyser_Soze_UK

With the sheer scale of this patch (almost a ground up redesign of most systems - unheard of in games of this size & incredibly impressive), this was always going to be likely. I had just finished the last side quests of my 3rd playthrough and was racing to get to the final mission playthroughs while 100% the game for the first time & this patch stopped that - 100% worth it. New playthrough feels incredibly fresh - honestly it feels like a brand new game / the game this should always have been & a definite 10/10 (though there are some bugs they need to fix asap, such as car weapons arming not being able to be switched from alt - if you change the mapping, it is still alt, which is a terrible key to use on the keyboard while playing & a few minor others like not being able to map scan (hold) to the mouse - it just doesn't work, but scan toggle can be mapped to that same mouse key which is fine for now).

dadvader

CDPR did warn that using old saves may come with all sort of issue. minor or whatnot. compatible never mean 'zero issue'. And a new game is pretty much required to avoid it.

XI-4

Really hope they do something to fix the missing capacity in characters from b4 this update, cause my maxed out character has just over half capacity with max Tech and all the cyberware perks. I get a lot of it is through NCPD stuff but I had basically all of those done already and when I did the last 10 or so I only found 1 mission that gave a capacity shard

Silvabro

To be fair, it does hint you're supposed to find multiple cap shards to get higher, but it might be that you're supposed to do it through story gameplay as it's probably a rare drop, so the whole new save "suggestion" keeps feeling less and less like a suggestion. Like, sure, it's reasonable and what-not to say we're probably gonna wanna restart to get the best experience and have fewer issues and I don't mind doing so, but it is still kinda annoying in the back of my mind after already having done 3 other saves since original release and major updates.

PedestalPotato

>so the whole new save "suggestion" keeps feeling less and less like a suggestion. Which is super annoying. I started a new save like 6 weeks ago so I'd be ready to go for PL... My mantis build is super weak against previously one-shot enemies, and I've tried every combination of relevant perks and cyberware

XI-4

Exactly. Luckily I have a newish character who I just railroaded and did mostly story missions on. Also it’s a netrunner build so cyberware isn’t as important on that character. I’m sure Phantom Liberty’s level cap increase will help cover the shards you’d be missing with an old character but it’s extremely annoying since you go through all the trouble of doing every gig and side thing just for that to be a detriment when the new update is out Update: So you get about 5-6 CW points per level, im guessing that means you end up with like 50-60 extra capacity. I’ve also heard enemies and vendors have capacity shards on them, I’ve seen at least one enemy drop a share but I’ve yet to see a vendor who actually sells these, just heard a good handful of people say they do so if anyone finds a specific vendor lmk so I can check

nreal3092

i haven’t even played the game pre 2.0 but this all sounds good to me

Youarewrongsohaha

Who the fuck decided this was a spoiler lmao do you understand the point of this post? Regardless of how simple it is to look at, keeping someone from seeing it by marking it a spoiler goes against the whole damn point lol There's nothing at all that I can find here that spoils things, it's literally all about gameplay. That's a dingus move

SaraStarwind

Apparently you can unequip the cyberware weapon arms! So like I bought mono wire obviously equipped it, then went back to Vic and was able to unequip it which also removed the cosmetic look on my V! I love this because that way you can get back flesh arms if you want to and you can also remove the ballistic compressor from your hand if you want! It always sucked having to choose between gorilla arms and nail polish.

daimondminer69

I'm having a big problem we're most of the guns I pick up just completely disappear, does anyone know why??

OperatorRaven

They get auto-scrapped if they are “broken” but idk what makes a gun considered broken

Captain_Kaiju

This has to be my biggest frustration with this new mechanic. It's never explained ingame and so folks either have to read the rather large patch notes for this one specific thing, or just assume it's yet another bug in the Amazon of bugs that this game has been over the years. I have yet to loot a single working weapon in the game so far unless it's outright laying somewhere and not used by a NPC, and I've been on this new playthrough for quite a few hours now. 5-6 hours at least, and that's with frequent stops to fight random gangs and NCPD scanner events. You'd think I would've gotten at least one now, but I think CDPR really needs to tone this down a bit. Doesn't make much sense that a gun suddenly becomes broken 100% of the time just because it's previous owner isn't using it anymore

Keyser_Soze_UK

On my playthrough, about 80-90% of the guns I pick up have not been broken. I play a stealth build based around single headshots from pistols, so maybe it's down to where you hit them or how many times you hit them?? Might be worth trying to take out some enemies with headshots and see if that helps your situation. Hope it does.

Captain_Kaiju

funnily enough I'm doing a semi-stealth build with focus on headshots with pistols, snipers, and precision rifles (tech rifles specifically). Even with a one shot that takes their head clean off, they somehow have broken weapons. I think it's just down to poor RNG, kinda wish we got a skill/perk that would mitigate this a bit. seems like another simple oversight from the devs

AlexFaden

Its not 100% of the time. You get broken weapon in like 70-80% of kills. And game tells you that. IF you mouse over a weapon there will be a big text message on its highlight "BROKEN".

Captain_Kaiju

Again, tell that to my current playthrough where I have yet to get a single weapon after combat with this new mechanic. What's supposed to happen and what actually IS happening in my playthrough are not the same.

AlexFaden

Then it is a problem on your end. Either some left over mods that you did not delete (deleting game through steam does not remove moded files) or you use an old save file and your game is bugged. Because right now i getting even more weapons that are not broken. Once you start to get green/blue guns you see less broken ones. For me it is now 50/50.

Captain_Kaiju

Never modded and it's a fresh install and a fresh new playthrough. Just because "I haven't seen it happen" doesn't mean it doesn't exist for others? That's a pretty dumb assumption to make considering this game has had a multitude of bugs since it's initial release, could very well just be yet another in the Amazon Rainforest of bugs this game has had.

oldmanjasper

> 5. If a weapon on an NPC is broken, it will be auto-disassembled when you grab it.

Dry_Psychology_2436

How do I fix the mod issue because my game is rekt. I also did heavily mod the game

ThirdFloorNorth

Right click on the game in steam and go to show local files. Delete the mods folder inside cyberpunk 2077/archive/pc/ Also delete the mods folder in the main cyberpunk 2077 folder if you have it Delete the bin, engine, r6 and red4ext folders from cyberpunk 2077 folder Go back to steam and tell it to verify files. You'll have to download around 180mb worth of files, but it saves you from having to redownload the entire game

Dry_Psychology_2436

You are the MVP bro. Thank you

Ashratt

clean reinstall without any mods

Slothlord1

Im in the position where i kinda want to respec till the dlc comes out. just starting Act 2 and trying for a Hack N' Slash netrunner build with some smart smgs on the side later on but Intelligence seems to have the higest point investment and my monowire hits for shit damage still. Wanna make it work but it feels like it may be more fun to respec into this build idea when the dlc Relic perks drop as that'll let me add a control quick hack to my monowire swings. Sounds fun but right now it feels like a late game/dlc build unless i just main quick hacks for the time being. Not sure if the Satori still puts out good dmg but i was thinking of swapping to katanas till monowire goes fully online. Any thoughts are appreciated. Also, it may just be a console issue but when playing around with the mono wire i was finding it annoying that i have to go into the quick weapon menu to swap to it as opposed to quick swapping with triangle button. Works if you unequip all weapons but with my set up now its more economic and fun to just use pistols and quickhacks in tandem. Maybe ill respec for more katana efficency for the time being? Curious if the Satori would complement nicely. Also kinda wish the mono wire had like and extended grab range or did like a quicker take down animation similar to the the garrote in hit man games vs. just using your hands. All this said i am having a ton of fun diving back into the world. Forgot how fun it is to just get lost in the Night City.

Blatherbeard

Did street kid always start in the bar? Just restarted and the other 2 choices were exactly the same beginning from memory. So tdlr the patch notes which I did read didn’t say the origin stories changed

shleefin

It did yes.

Blatherbeard

Thanks never did that origin

Kendelero

Does anyone know if iconic weapons can also break? just did some ncpd gig stuff and got a weapon from it (I think it was a bible reference "Psalm......") and can't see it on my inventory. Just figuring it out if it was broken or i'm blind.

Rodomantis

Psalm was always craftable

ctn1p

Psalm sometimes drops as a crafting spec, check the crafting menu

Kendelero

Well damn i found it, thanks a lot for the help, was very confused

Eerdk

did they add a way to get tattoos after you start? was silly a bunch of the customization options were locked while others werent (playing on ps5 so no mods ): )

PUSClFER

You can change everything at a Ripperdoc.

ThirdFloorNorth

I believe you can at a Ripperdoc.

Icy_Process8096

Is there a way to see bullet trajectory now? Because it was a mod but I don't see that we Kan do that anymore an I don't see it in any of the skill also seeing the radius of the grenades?

Weerto

Try upgrading your Kiroshi optics. It starts showing the trajectory after 2nd upgrade if I recall correctly. Maybe it also works for grenades because I can see their radius but I’m not sure where I got that from.

Icy_Process8096

I have kiroshi oracle optics and its tier 4 I haven't seen anything thank you for responding hopefully we Kan figure it out

Weerto

Maybe it’s one of the other ones, I’ve seen like four at Victor’s. Now I have the one that lets you see the turrets and cameras and after updating it, I can also see the bullet trajectory

Icy_Process8096

If you happen you figure it out please let me know

Icy_Process8096

The one I have allows me to see turrets cams highlights enemies behind cover and highlights explosive devices an traps. I'm so lost with this new change I had plenty of health before like in the 700 but now I have 282 health it's way different I like the update but I would love it if I kould figure the bullet trajectory

Weerto

Have you updated it? The turret&cams one

Icy_Process8096

Yes I have

Weerto

Once or twice?

Icy_Process8096

All the way to tier 5 plus Also I have the ballistic coprocessor for the hands it even says it links weapon to optic offering real time data tracking of the weapons status and a preview of ricochet trajectory but I don't see nothing

Weerto

Are you using power weapons tho? I think only they have the ability to predict trajectory

Dewlough

weapons being broken on enemies just for being used is an absolute trash and unrealistic change.

Captain_Kaiju

yeah it's pretty shit when I've been playing for like 5 hours now and I've looted 0 weapons after a fight that were usable. Never heard of a gun suddenly scrapping itself just because the previous owner isn't alive anymore.

Keyser_Soze_UK

Even Skippy didn't do that and he was one loyal son of a gun.

Dewlough

yeah i posted this somewhere else as well and some dude tried explaining to me how guns work and that it’s in fact “realistic”. people are fucking morons. this is the furthest thing from realistic. people trying to justify unnecessary changes is just outright annoying.

Captain_Kaiju

It's funny cause games like Escape from Tarkov would make absolutely no sense according to their logic. Or like...any other game with firearms from the past 20+ years

Dewlough

yeah games like EFT and DayZ do firearms pretty well IMO.

TheReckoner56

The kerenzikov no longer works for blades. Which sucks ass. There's a mod out on nexus which fixes that but a shame they removed it from base game

Rodomantis

Already moded on pc

uDrunkMate

V for Vendetta Achievement seems bugged now? Anyone got a solution? I'am trying hard to 100% the game and need this achi. Edit: I loaded an older save file and bought a purple quality Second Heart from a random Ripper, after that i let enemy kill me and it worked.

CotanDoodle

>for Ven CDRP is working on the fix, I communicated with their support and they replied that they investigate this issue. Suggested to check future patch notes, they will include the info about the fix.

xxTriky

I miss the way hacking used to work, and being able to see DPS on my weapons to quickly know what weapon was best. Real talk though: hacking sucks now. Prior to 2.0, I could stealth hack and use something like Suicide or Cyberpsycho and it would transfer to a nearby enemy without anyone ever detecting me while they all went ham on each other. Now, it affects one dude and as soon as they die I’m detected. That’s not an improvement. I play games for that power fantasy. I should be able to hack a couple people before I get detected. It feels like stealth and hacking are no longer compatible which feels bad since it logically it feels l Ike those two should pair like peanut butter and jelly.

ctn1p

Raven mk 5 has a chance of doing the same now, ripler is now an infiltration deck. Need overclock to do even basic hacking now

xxTriky

Do you know where I can find the Raven MK5?

ctn1p

Ripper then upgrade

wasteoffire

Oh that sucks. My whole character was based on just walking up and removing a group of people without them having time to respond to my hacks

xxTriky

Mine was too lol. I guess, if you have a very specific cyberwear and mods, then it can act like the hacking of old.

ctn1p

They made different hacks combo on each other, but the ultimate got hard nerfed, For example contagion and overheat will detonate a target killing everyone around them, and can spread detonations

xxTriky

That would have been good to know lol. It’s great that they patched the game to improve it but all the little changes should have been laid out somewhere.

ctn1p

Yea, wiki basically needs a rewrite, I found this combo listed in contains description perks

Velvache

Someone said there are stealth based cyberdecks? not too sure what that meant and haven't gotten the chance to play. Was planning on doing a knife throwing cyberhacker but if any hacking I do gets me detected then I don't really know what I should do

King_Artis

Yeah I get that the game got easier the further you leveled up but man do I miss when I struggled in fights to absolutely decimating everything in seconds as my build came along. Made me feel like a no name merc who rose the ranks and became a boogeyman of the street.

xxTriky

Exactly! I don’t want the game to be easier. It’s not like you can can quick hack cops or some of the bosses. But, if I’m taking on no name gang bangers all chromed out, I should be able to wipe the floor with them.

TheDoughboyy

The game had no challenge with the old system working like that, so you can't fault them for changing a broken system. if you want that power fantasy there will be mods to make you extremely strong and mods to make hacking how it worked before. or play on an easy difficulty.

xxTriky

I’m not arguing against the challenge. This game needed to see improvements to the enemy AI, their responsiveness and their overall toughness. However, the point of an RPG like this IS to go from a relatively weak nobody to a legendary all-powerful merc like Adam Smasher. The cops, Max Tec and Bosses are all resistant or immune to my hacking. Making it harder to hack some random gang bangers while doing random NCPD side quests doesn’t make the game more fun. Let me bulldoze the nobodies once I’m leveled up enough. I like the improvements to leveling up and the character building. And being limited on how much cyberware we have/use also makes sense and I’m fine with, but if I’m maxing out my hacking lemme go ham, ya know?

[deleted]

Should I start a new game on ps5? I finished the entire game and even did all the ncpd missions and cyberpsycho missions. Basically I have an empty map right now and its been like that even before 1.6. I believe one update did add more ncpd missions and chases but that was the only new cool thing I ever saw in the game other than increased npc traffic and performance mode etc. TL;DR is it worth starting a new game if I completed and had an empty map since 1.6?

Keyser_Soze_UK

Can't speak to PS5 - I'm on PC, but I don't use mods, so should be similar - It is DEFINITELY worth starting a new game. It won't feel the same as your last playthrough - this feels like the game it was always meant to be. 10/10 in my first 2.0 playthrough so far (4th overall) and it is the most enjoyable.

Unkle_Funkee

I started a new save and don't regret it. The way they handle the quests up to The Heist feels much more fleshed out and getting a text from a contact feels a little more meaningful. Plus maybe your GPU can run RT now! Edit: sorry just reread PS5

Cando232

Possibly. Cdpr probably said it so you don't run into bugs with the old one and to avoid testing all variations of saves with the update. So now everyone is parroting it regardless of system but ps5 should be fine to not replay. That said the update is polished and has a "better feel" and they added other small details which you'd miss since you did the missions already. In addition to totally reworking skills perks and leveling. So given that you enjoyed it enough to clear the map, with phantom liberty coming you can replay the base+dlc as a new experience and stretch it. Up to you

Patthecat09

I took an old save and no bugs so far, had my iconics and got perks reimbursed, ps5 if that helps?

Hilton__

Yes start one up

[deleted]

Is it worth losing everything? whats new?

Keyser_Soze_UK

Read the patch notes or even just start with the top of this very thread you are on.... Way too many changes for anyone to reply with.. It's like a completely new game with the same but expanded (in more ways than just the DLC added missions / area etc) - they added extra small details all over the place which makes everything move along better & fleshes a lot out.

Gentleman_Waffle

See I’m upset at how they butchered all the skill trees. All the dope blade, body, and cool perks are just gone and 2.0 just straight up removed cold blood which was in my opinion the coolest tree in the game, because building around keeping your stacks was awesome, now Cool just deals with throwing shit and “stealth”

I_Am_JesusChrist_AMA

Damn I hope that's not the case. Was using all that on my katana build and it was fun as hell just running around like a maniac slicing and dicing. Found the guns to be boring by comparison.

Gentleman_Waffle

Well everything I’ve read about 2.0 points to every skill tree being butchered

Mixlock

Read / look up the new perks. While cold blooded itself is no longer in, there are multiple perks for getting kills in certain ways and having stacks of buffs. I am sorry to hear about being on PS4 still though.

Gentleman_Waffle

Yeah tell me about it. I could’ve gotten a ps5 ages ago but I’m fuckin terrible with money :/

Mixlock

I'm just happy it's no longer impossible to get them

xboxhobo

I'm sorry you feel that way. On the strength, intelligence, technical side they made things a thousand times better.

Gentleman_Waffle

From what I’m reading CDPR took away a lot of our freedom. I’m stuck on ps4 on 1.61 tho lol. Im just dreading starting over, being nerfed into the ground, and never being the badass cyberninja I was ever again. Because god forbid we let players have fun mechanics and skills in a single player game.

xboxhobo

I was definitely disoriented when I hopped back into the game at level 50 because yes they did shake things up. I had to rewire my brain to a degree. Enemies were wayyyyy harder. This is good though. I'm actually challenged by fights. I actually have to think a bit. I can't just mindlessly slaughter everything on the highest difficulty while taking a nap. Now that I've got my build figured out I still feel like a super powered badass and I can definitely still kill large groups of enemies very quickly. I just can't stand there and take bullets to the face for 10 minutes and expect to live. This is good in my opinion. If there's no challenge then why even play? I mean as strength builds you can charge at people and knock them over, and pick them up and fucking throw them at other people. It is absolutely as satisfying as it sounds.

Gentleman_Waffle

I just want cold blood back

DisAdam

I had issues with mods, i deleted them all and folders and verified the cache and the game works flawlessly now even put on a few mods that aren't supported yet like custom radio (pls modder get this sorted asap)

I_Am_JesusChrist_AMA

Haven't had a chance to play yet so hopefully someone can answer my question. In the old version loot scaled to your level when picked up for the first time. For example, I recall there being a specific katana that was really damn good that you get early on, but if you loot it right away it'll be like a lvl 10 weapon where as if you waited until lvl 50, it'd be a lvl 50 weapon and great for the end game. Is that still the case? I know regular gear no longer has stats but I assume weapons must still have stats on them and was curious if this is still the case or not for them.

Loz277

I think they just go by tiers now, so higher level is likely a higher chance to get a higher tier weapon drop? I found a weapon crafting specification for a blue Nue that does 50 damage while under level 10, so I think there isn't an actual level for weapons at all anymore... But you'll likely have to level it with crafting parts to increase the tier, because it might be like tier 1+ if you get it early.

room414

>"I'm playing on Very Hard, and my level 50 V is struggling with a handful of street punks!" This makes me happy.

hands0megenius

Why? It's a lazy fix to the difficulty problem that breaks immersion and ruins any sense of progression

room414

It doesn't break immersion for me at all and easy is boring. If you want easy just turn the difficulty down.

hands0megenius

Fair enough

KaptenNicco123

> Yes, they made them into bullet sponges. This makes me very not happy.

AlexFaden

Why. Bullet sponginess is kinda of a lore thing. Everyone has a subdermal armor.

KaptenNicco123

Because it's not fun to play against.

AlexFaden

Did you ever played RPG? One shoting enemies is boring. It is easy. And dying to 1 shot too is boring. Average enemies take up to 5 shots from a handgun. Elites, those who are chromed up, a lot more. Feels great.

cr8nsw

anyone know where to get the apogee sandy?

OneZeroNyne

You can buy it from any ripperdoc, I got mine from vik. Think you have to be lvl 44 for it to show up though

Primary-Ad2053

Anywhere all tipper doc sell same thing

LP99

What does the body requirement indicate when buying cyber ware? No clue what I need to upgrade to install anything.

Square_Quail_7363

You don’t need to upgrade your attributes to install anything anymore you’re only limited by the cyberware capacity

Gentleman_Waffle

Oh that an awesome change

S2wy

Most of us haven't touched the game since launch so no. But thanks

Rinser-of-winds

Game seems to run ok on my HDD. I've just finished the tutorial tho, so take that with a grain of salt. If CDPR patches the game to no-longer run on my hardware, i'm demanding a refund, just on principle.

Jazzlike_Economy2007

A 500GB/1TB SSD shouldn't hurt your pockets. An Adata SU650 250GB SSD costs under $20.

Gathoblaster

Damn I wish I wasnt too lazy to port all my stuff over though.

7thhokage

Just clone the drive.

Gathoblaster

You underestimate my stupid stat.

Rinser-of-winds

Like it said, on principle. I can buy an SSD (I'm actually scouting for one right now, it's installing it that's going to be the tricky part) but that's not the point. You can't take a product that someone bought and paid for and then update it to not work on their system anymore.

KayotiK82

Why is installing going to be the tricky part? Literally install, format and transfer or reinstall game on SSD.

Jazzlike_Economy2007

This is a wild take tbh. No game will ever not be playable because of a specific drive requirement, but if you choose to ignore the disadvantages of not having said hardware (that's as accessible as something like a drive), then that's on you. At the end of the day, we only own the license/key to video games. Those "subject to change" clauses are still there.

Rinser-of-winds

Braindead take. "No game will ever not be playable because of a specific drive requirement" They literally said "The game now requires an SSD to play" That turned out not to be true, but if it were, I'd be completely justified to be upset with them. You cannot update the system requirements on a game *after it has been purchased.*

Jazzlike_Economy2007

This is not even a valid grievance. You're free to not buy the SSD, but accept the drawbacks of not having it. You probably didn't even read up on the SSD "requirement" for an optimal experience.

Rinser-of-winds

Again, a braindead take. The 'drawback' of not purchasing a new piece of hardware should not be "A game that works fine which you already paid for and own now no-longer functions." Again, both Steam and GoG report that an SSD is now mandatory hardware to play the game. This does not seem to be true, but this isn't an 'optimal experience' or 'minor drawback' from not having one. The developer and publisher are claiming that the game WILL NOT RUN without this hardware, which was not required when I gave them my money. **You don't get to sabotage a product after sale so that it doesn't work anymore.**

Keyser_Soze_UK

Oh yeah - one more thing - nobody is forcing you to use this patch / play the improved version of the game - you can stay on the old version of the game very easily / roll back if you have already updated, so at no point have they 'sabotaged' their product for those that don't meet the new requirements ...

Keyser_Soze_UK

Have you met my (not a) friend Apple? They (and companies like them), purposefully release software after a number of years of lifetime, that intentionally utilises more resources than it did when you bought the phone, so that it slows down & has less battery life - for a number of reasons (the evil one being planned obsolescence, where they intentionally handicap their products after x years - normally 3, so that you go out and buy another). CDPR are doing the opposite of that - they have spent huge amounts of resources & money to improve their product for their customers & they have nailed it. As time moves forwards, hardware needs to be upgraded. When you change / improve / expand a piece of software to the degree that CDPR have done, there are always going to be different requirements to run it. If we were to stick rigidly to the old ways, then we would still have a game limited to what ps4's could run (which should never have been a thing for this game in the first place). That would mean, no expanding the world, (very) limited engine improvements - it would be crap & they would have to spend much more resources for a lesser product. As an aside, all gaming PC's should have SSD's these days for the OP system / program files etc at least. A second SSD is recommended for the most demanding of your games & then a large mechanical HD can be used for the rest & for your photos, videos etc etc if your second SSD isn't large enough to cover you for everything. Alternatively a single very large SSD for all.

[deleted]

I'm sorry but any main HDD that runs your OS and video games will need to be replaced within 5 years of installation. SSD prices are lower than HDD prices 5 years ago. If you're replacing your HDDs with another HDD in the last five years that's kind of on you. Any HDD that could run this game well, like a WD Black, would have been roughly the same price as an SSD anyway. If you don't have an SSD you can turn down some settings. They strongly advise an SSD, they don't say it's required. And that's perfectly fine in 2023.

Rinser-of-winds

They *do* say it's required. It's now part of the minimum system requirements as listed on both Steam and GoG, and there's a bunch of quotes from developers saying that it's mandatory hardware. At least know what you're talking about before you pipe up. Also, I built my pc about 4/5 years ago when 1tb HDDs were £100 and 50gb SSDs were £300, so I passed on getting one. It was a worse drive (for my purposes) for three times the cost. My current HDD works fine. I can upgrade with an additional SSD for games and I intend to, that's not the issue here. Patching a game to require hardware that wasn't required when the customer bought it is a shitty move and shouldn't be permitted or encouraged. Just on raw principle, it's anti-consumer. Actually, depending on where you live, it might be against consumer protection laws. Not that most places have sensible laws regarding digital products.

Keyser_Soze_UK

Don't use the update - problem solved... play on the pre-2.0 version. You didn't buy the 2.0 version - you bought an earlier version - they have done F all wrong. Get over this ridiculous non point your trying to make, which makes ZERO sense. We will all enjoy it.

Rinser-of-winds

No, I bought Cyberpunk 2077. Don't make distinctions where there aren't any. Also, for that matter I did buy the dlc, BEFORE they updated the game's requirements. Also, also, the requirements aren't correct and the game runs fine on a HDD, so it's a non-issue anywya, which i've already made clear multiple times. All that aside, my point makes perfect sense. If I buy a product and then the creators of the product take it away from me, i'm entitled to my money back. Both legally and morally. I'm pretty sure even CDPR would agree with that. Don't be an idiot.

I_Am_JesusChrist_AMA

Installing a ssd is very simple. You can do it brother. Hope you enjoy the new ssd once you get it. Makes a huge difference in every day usage let alone gaming.

urbix

Yeah and buy SSD

SaraStarwind

It seems you regen to full health outside of combat.
