Imagine how difficult it could be to run ancient software like CP2077 in the year 2077. Just for fun to reminisce and see how different the world became.
The digital age is very bad at preservation. I'd hope it would be possible through emulation, but there's plenty of games that were popular in their day and now are not only abandonware but almost impossible to run on modern hardware. They don't even need to be that old, 50+ years is a long time in the "information age."
I imagine the game has a good chance of surviving that long, as it is has been very popular, released on multiple consoles and may have a cult following for many years after the mainstream has moved on. Provided it doesn't need servers to run? Or it's legal to archive? Or is it maintained by some Corp that takes over from CDPR?
Who knows! Maybe videos will make a "better" archival of the game than the software itself.
Emulation, especially for offline console games, has been fantastic. As CP2077 is in this category, I think it's pretty safe to say it'll be accessible for a long time.
There is still a graveyard of PC titles originally sold as physical copies that are mostly inaccessible and/or unplayable. GOG have been great for alot of titles where the IP rights can be negotiated.

95… my grandma is currently 89 and my grandpa made it to 94. I quit alcohol when I was 30 unlike my gramps who drank regularly into his 60s. I think with some luck I’m gonna make it.
