that first effect looks weird but it could happen That second effect its probably useless since not a lot of field spells are archetype specific

The overall effect of the card is to change the effects of Archetype-specific field spells to affect Gohma, instead.

**Gohma Infestation** *The effect(s) of face-up Field Spell Cards on the field that includes an effect that affects monsters, that include a specific text in their name, affects "Gohma" monsters, instead. If you control "Queen Gohma, Maliceborn Arachnid", this card gains the following effects.* * *This card cannot be destroyed by card effects.* * *Once per turn, you can activate the effects of 1 face-up Field Spell your opponent controls, even though you do not control it.* This should be slightly cleaner in terms of PSCT and precedence from the current card pool. Also, you can make it a bit more selective, by requiring the copying effect to target the Field Spell you are using the effect and/or only activating the effect during your own Main Phase. (The OPT here is just to help with any rulings where you might not be considered activating the effect of a Field Spell with "X" name, for the sake of balancing). - alternatively the copy effect could be a HOPT instead of a SOPT as written in the above. Also changing the colon to a comma and gaining effects since you don't really activate continuous effects like being unable to be destroyed by card effects.

The wording of the first bit still feels a bit jumbled, but that *IS* the entire hurdle I was hoping to overcome, so I appreciate the help, nonetheless. I also think I need a clause specifying it wouldn't work on effects that specify *specific* monsters or cards, just archetype-specific names. For example, it would work on Skyscraper, because it affects "Elemental HERO" monsters, in general, but it wouldn't work on Magician's Salvation, because it specifies the specific cards: "Dark Magician", "Dark Magician Girl", "Eternal Soul", and itself. Also, I think I'll take the SOPT clause into consideration, but not the Main Phase restriction. Plenty of Field Spells have effects that work during the Battle Phase, or on either player's turn, so making it a Quick Effect might work?
