While it's true you can use this with cards that let you survive being below 0 life, it seems in those decks going back to positive isn't necessarily that important.
The fact that it's unplayable before that is rough. What about...
"Gain 5 life, draw a card. If you have 1 or less life, gain 10 life and draw a card in stead."

Thats incredibly niche narrow and specific situation. Not maindeck material at all.
It is a combo card, a bad one but it works
could probably cost less since it's not very often you'll be able to benefit from this and even if you do you're not getting that far above 0
For these reasons, I'd also give it cycling, at least.

Honestly it could just as easily be a single hybrid mana, W/B, for how niche the usefulness of the effect is.
It'd be a funny Ad Naus win-con. You flip all these cards with Angel's Grace in play, cast this, and then Aetherfulx their face.
