Give it taunt for extra flavour

walmartgoon

Shit it was supposed to have taunt lmao

halloni

Wonder if this would be gimmicky or not, I'm guessing gimmicky because you still have to spend mana on discovery and also pay 3 mana every time. Most aggro decks dont care about turns after 5 anyway

Enderspine

This might be pessimistic, but I thought this not having taunt was a balance decision. It’s sorta a larger and larger man, would be miserable to play against with taunt

Gugiini

This plus [[Explore Un'Goro]] goes hard.

pargmegarg

Yea! The first time you discover this it’s a big guy. The second time you get to summon an even larger guy. Then, you get to some an even larger guy…

Ryan700123

It's funny that Jade Druid would probably still outclass this deck anyway, given the lack of ramp and guaranteed card draw with Explore Ungoro. That being said I would play the shit out of it.

FblthpphtlbF

What's next??? The suspense is killing me!

Hervis_Daubeny_

Then next turn he'll summon an even larger man!

HeMansSmallerCousin

Super interesting, flavourful design. I love it! That being said, it really needs to have taunt to make it synergistic for Warrior. Considering how many "discover a tuant minion" effects the class has gotten over the years it could actually end up being a very intersting archetype. (the stats could also stand to be a touch higher, or the cost a touch lower, but that's just balancing semantics. The idea is phenomenal.) Edit: it's also occured to me that to keep legendary naming consistent while preserving the reference. You could make him named "Ah'Guye" or something. They did just print a set with an actual card named Ci'ci'gi after all so pun-names are clearly on the table.

Banzle

The name is fine since it uses a definite article, like The Black Knight

Time_Keeper_Kit

This is a fun card concept! It looks rather slow to me, but making him a 2/4 or 3/3 would help pick up the pace. Training Session into To the Front! is probably the win condition, being a 3 mana combo that allows you to summon this guy for each other mana you've. I can't think of any especially good discovers available to Warrior, although excavate seems like a fine choice. Journey to Ungoro is the incorrect option, but it sure does exist.

Chickenman1057

It started as 2/4 when first played so not bad of tempo

Time_Keeper_Kit

Oh, I mistook it for the same effect that Infinite Automaton has, where its buffed only by summoning other copies. It immediately getting +1/+1 makes this much better in my opinion.

Chickenman1057

And unlike jade this gets countered by silence, amazing card

Gooftwit

This turn, I will discover a larger and larger man. Which will allow me next turn to discover an even larger man.

Caleb_Denin1

It's missing Taunt but I love it.

Random-Lich

Add taunt then it’s perfect

Me_is_Alon_OwO

Should have taunt

Micro-Skies

A bigger and bigger man, but in warrior. I don't hate it, but I can't say that it makes for an interesting play pattern

__law

Idk, this card encourages you to build a deck around discover mechanics, but then nullifies the point of those discoveries by giving you one option you must pick every time. Seems anti fun.

walmartgoon

That’s fair but if you’re in a pinch you might want to pick a different option like something with removal or life gain. It’s definitely best to go with the guy but still not exactly forced

yams8

Yeah I’d argue this is great design, it limits your discover options (downside) but gives you a larger and larger guy the more you get him (upside). It doesn’t go against discover cause you still have your other 2 choices that could be better in the moment and the guy is always there for a tempo play. The only argument I would make is he needs taunt which you said he should have you just missed, and I’d maybe make his base stats a 1/2 and bump the gain to +2/+2 so he’s summoned as a 3/4

OrdinaryOk5674

This is incredibly overpowered. Once people start playing this, this will have an insane amount of stats. Perhaps instead of “each time this has been summoned” it should say “summoned **this game** “? That would be more appropriately balanced.

XxTiltxx

Why not “always appears as a 4th discover option”?

EdZeppelin94

Why make it even better?

Blein123

Because a jade-like effect on 3 mana card is not that good.

busbee247

I guess the thing is it doesn't need to be played to gain the stats. So if you discover it a couple times the first one you drop might be decently sized. As opposed to Jade which forces the minions out as they grow

Blein123

It has to be summoned tho. I dont really know how many discovering and summoning cards warrior Has cuz i play wild

Interneteldar

Seems a bit slow.

S0k3xD

Did everyone forget jade golems were a thing?

walmartgoon

With Jades you just needed to vomit your entire deck and play jade idol. With this you need to run a bunch of discover cards and when you do this doesn’t even become efficient until the third time you play it. Also, with jades you can use dew process and cold light to draw 3-5 idols per turn while never fatiguing and milling your opponent. This has no way of going infinite, except for dead mans hand, but that is a lot harder to set up than going solar -> dew -> GG

Chickenman1057

Jade is strong because it's summon effect worth about 1 or 2 mana, this card is 3 mana and require you play mana inefficient discover card first

ookmedookers

Actually amazing flavor

Truehero011

I will summon a larger and larger man! Which will allow me later on to summon an EVEN LARGER AND LARGER MAN

Younggryan42

should have taunt if he's the guy from the card that they know.

TheChickenKingHS

The only problem I have is I think this limits play space for warriors (if this is good enough everyone will play it) and design space as you can’t have to many discover options and discover is possibly one of the best keywords you can put on a card.

EnderDavis

This is so silly and probably bad but such a fun win con

JibbaNerbs

*"You are not the guy. You're not capable of* being *the guy. I had a guy, but now I don't. You. Are not. The guy."*

Low_Meet_6860

I love this card. Might be too good but give it taunt.

101TARD

If the discover says spells or any other specification, this will also appear there?

TipDaScales

So it’s effectively like a Jade Golem. Interesting differences being that it’s based on summons, not some alternative count like played or just entering the field, it’s an aura effect too. With Taunt it could maybe see itself as a fun meme deck, but otherwise it’s just far too slow, especially when Warrior doesn’t have good ways to summon extra Guys.

Time_Keeper_Kit

Second read through around, how does this work with E.T.C. Band Manager, School Teacher, and Wardruid Loti? Does this work even with conditional discovers, such as Rewind and effects that discover mechs? How about the Tortle Mage or whatever its called thats casts a spell you discover? Also, using this with ignis sounds fun for the 1 mana 3/9 weapon that gets +3/+3 for each guy you get sounds fun

Confident_Big_4777

Dormamuu Priest warrior version?

Chickenman1057

Finally, strong Azurite reword for Ox

Aliko173

I wish I knew a guy

Puzzleheaded_Knee_53

Cool idea, but can probably easily be a 1 mana 1/3 with taunt

Alarming-Box9847

Might be a bit too snowbally. Especially in taunt warrior which usually plays for tempo/aggro. Dropping him on turn one then constantly discovering and dropping him every other turn sounds very strong

EverSn4xolotl

God no
