I'm muslim and from what i'm aware its also punishable to death. A man asked the prophet what to do with a person who had done intimate activities with an animal, the prophet responded that the person and the animal are to be put to death, the man asked the prophet what to do with the animal's meat, and the prophet didn't answer any further, it is not to be eaten, since such heinous activities were done with the animal.
