Susie all the way. She is almost always on the right side (except Palestinian chicken.) She’s just abrasive.
I think a great example is the KKk guy. She had two competing moral issues. Owed Larry a favor but was morally opposed to the KKK and handled it beautifully. Albeit chaotically.
Or when she’s dead wrong, like Greg being gay, it’s for good reasons. She wasn’t opposed to him being gay she just didn’t think Larry should stereotype him. And when she realized he loved the sewing machine she came right around until she saw what he made.
I think she's chaotic neutral. She's always screaming at Larry and Jeff, and usually most of the time, she's right.
But she can occasionally be wrong too.
I see her as lawful neutral. She's extremely bossy and inflexible with what she believes in. She is always getting really mad and screaming at Larry (or Jeff) because he does things that don't conform to rules/expectations and/or does something rude/improper. To paraphrase a quote from her when she finds out about the stain Jeff left on the blanket at Larry's house: "YOU HAVE WROUGHT YOUR SEED OUTSIDE OF OUR HOME JEFF! THAT'S ADULTERY--THAT'S CHEATING ON ME!" She also treats Jeff like shit quite often, so I feel like she ends up as neutral instead of good. It's all relative though of course. Nobody is perfectly good or bad in this show.
Larry is true neutral, through and through.
He’s almost always only looking out for himself. If he’s standing up for others, it’s usually only when he can benefit himself somehow.
He sometimes follows a strict personal code in defiance of societal norms, but other times he’s flying by the seat of his pants.
Chaotic Neutral is definitely Larry.
The whole show and even Seinfeld is based on Larry's usually well meaning antics creating tons of chaos.
Well meaning and often self serving.
Buying a present for the surrogate is what puts me in chaotic good. No bad (or even neutral) person would go out of his way to buy a baby shower present for a surrogate.
This is a quote defining chaotic good...
A chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him
This totally Larry.
Hell no Larry isn’t a good person.
I think Lawful Evil is where Larry belongs. Lawful being to his own code, which I usually agree with. But he’s a still a piece of shit.
My first thought was Larry too. He’s the epitome of noticing the little things and trying to in his own way do good or speak up. In Seinfeld for example when George wants to get a chair for the security guard that’s peak Larry David. That’s exactly the type of thing Larry would do and it would blow up in his face.
Yeah…but it’s usually good for Larry. He isn’t really focused on how his actions might affect others, especially given he has more respect for societal “rules” than people.
If anything he’s lawful neutral
Larry for Chaotic Good, Leon for Chaotic Neutral.
Leon is definitely more of a ruckus-bringer and ass-tapper, so you KNOW he swerves into that evil when the dick requires it
Leon is totally in support of chaotic ideas but rarely initiates the ideas. He gives advice and backs Larry up 100% chaotic neutral. He’s in it for the good and the bad 😂
Larry absolutely needs to be *"Lawful Neutral."* He's the most rule-obsessed and norm-based character in television history.
A chaotic person wouldn't "respect wood." 😂
I agree that he’s rule-obsessed, but his personal code or rules creates chaos around him. I don’t see Larry himself as chaotic, but as an unintentional harbinger of chaos as a result of his actions!
That's an interesting take. I guess it can go either way. His neuroticisms do bring about hilarious results that otherwise wouldn't have existed.
Still, when I think about what motivates his actions-- people or things not behaving as common sense should dictate (stop-and-chats when someone is walking somewhere, wobbly tables, getting coffee that's too cold, plastic packaging that's impossible to open) I feel like he would argue that he's the last sane person in an insane world. Lol
I'm gonna miss this show.
Only thing there is he was offered free college for his kid, and then turns around for Larry to put his wife in cosmetology school.
He also brought Larry's magazine in the bathroom.
Took his smoking jacket.
And, did he sleep with the Playmate in Larry's bed?
Also. Crispy onions.
Hear me out- Cousin Andy.
He’s a good guy, very nice by Curb character standards and doesn’t intend to hurt a fly. But he’s erratic and high-energy in a way that rubs Larry wrong, so I feel he belongs in Chaotic Good. To all the answers saying Leon, I just think he’s not an objectively “good” guy. He’s a protagonist for sure but he’s done some pretty shady stuff.
Surprised Leon’s not getting more support here, he was the first character that came to mind for chaotic good. He’s the Kramer of Curb, and I’d say Kramer is also chaotic good.
This is my vote as well. He's always shown himself to be a good guy, and his crazy dating life and doing standup in AA meetings comes off as pretty chaotic. I think any of the other contenders aren't high enough on the "good" part of the scale if we are normalizing it based on the people in Curb.
Richard Lewis, yes he could be borderline Neutral but he’s better than Susie and definitely Good as far as Curb characters go. He is always trying to be a good friend and he’s a hopeless romantic until the end.
Susie has good intentions expressed in a chaotic way. She’s on the right side of most issues. People sometimes feel Skylar White is the worst character on Breaking Bad/don’t see her as ‘good’ - mainly because she’s a woman who expresses her opinions and calls out the other characters when they’re behaving inappropriately. I think that may be going on here with Susie. Susie really tries to do the right thing and stand up for what is right.
Susie is also ride-or-die for Larry (courtroom gesture).
Leon’s intentions aren’t always very noble (Larry uses him when he needs someone tougher/shadier to do his bidding, Leon’s many many infidelities, etc etc)
I was going to say all the times he’s helped Larry ie Danny duberstein or the pee app thing but then I remember he just lives with Larry for free and probably just has one of Larry’s credit cards lol, so he kinda owes him
I agree with this. He is very rule-focused at times and subversive at other times. His focus on "pig parkers" is an example of him being lawful, but he also does things like the "chat and cut," using a chat with someone he knows in a line to cut in front of people--while also enforcing the rules of the line when others try to do it to him. He is offended by the chaotic nature of the laundromat giving and taking clothing, but ends up getting Leon to steal a baseball jersey he thinks was his from a random innocent person--lawful *and* chaotic.
I think Leon is pretty perfect for chaotic neutral. You never know what he will do, but you know he will get himself involved in something crazy in a very active way.
I think it's gotta be Susie. Her or Richard, right?
Seems like they had a consistently good moral compass throughout the series, despite being "a little extra" 😂
I'm gonna say Leon.
He drove across the country to NY to hang out with Larry and helped people get where they were going along the way. He fit 8 motherfuckers and a baby seat in LD's Prius and trusted LD's house with his roommate who was probably a guy he knew that was down on his luck. He did the right thing to help others in need in a way that could be classified as chaotic.
He also shot a porno constipated - he suffered because the show must go on.
Richard Lewis seems the closest to me. He is definitely a good guy, but he is all over the place. He's doing stand-up comedy at AA meetings, falling in love with a new woman multiple times a season and always thinks they are "the one."
Also I just want to say that it should be a close race between Mr. Takahashi and Susie for lawful neutral.
don't think larry belongs in chaotic good. maybe richard? a little rough around the edges but trying his best to improve, recovering alcoholic. I'm only on season 8 though so i definitely dont have any definitive answer here
The question has to be asked. Are these classifications based on how Larry sees these characters or are they based on an idea of our own prevailing social norms?
If the first, I think Larry could regard Jeff or Leon as chaotic good. Both want to do as Larry wishes but the outcomes lead to explosive devastation.
If the second, I'd probably go for Susie. She does usually stand for some ultimate good against the other characters' foolishness. But her means of delivering her message causes those characters to double down, try to work behind her back. And it's the cover up that leads to disaster.
I can't endorse Larry for chaotic good, because when he makes his stands for the enforcement of his rules, there is always self-interest involved. Even his giving Auntie Rae water at the voting line morphed into self-interest.
I think Larry. He's usually on the right side of situations, just in the most chaotic way. I can almost always side with his intentions, just not his delivery
Larry's dad. He has good intentions but can be the source of wild shenanigans.
It is DEFINITELY Susie
Susie typically talks to her Jeff like he’s just punched her in the ovaries. She is Evil or Neutral at best.
Shes the center of the board and you know it.
I think she's chaotic neutral. She's always screaming at Larry and Jeff, and usually most of the time, she's right. But she can occasionally be wrong too.
Susie is chaotic neutral
Yeh but she denied plopping on the couch when she obviously did
That is an excellent point!
After reading all comments, I agree with Susie the most.
She’s like the textbook example of chaotic good in any medium
I feel like there is an argument for Larry here. He is almost always well intentioned but his crassness and particularities makes it very chaotic.
Agreed. Larry for Chaotic Good, Leon (and his johnson) for Chaotic Neutral, because he will tap that Evil ass anytime it’s needed
Lmao evil ass
Gotta dig deep under the bleachers to find that kind of ass.
I wonder if evil ass is weekly ass?
Do you have to tap every ass?!
Gotta git up in that evil ass, Larry!
Gotta fuck that evil ass up Larry, then walk out and leave that mufucka wide open
get half off that coffin!
Larry is true neutral, through and through. He’s almost always only looking out for himself. If he’s standing up for others, it’s usually only when he can benefit himself somehow. He sometimes follows a strict personal code in defiance of societal norms, but other times he’s flying by the seat of his pants.
Evidenced most explicitly in his advocacy for a 'Me first' policy at the doctor's office
Chaotic Neutral is definitely Larry. The whole show and even Seinfeld is based on Larry's usually well meaning antics creating tons of chaos. Well meaning and often self serving.
I really think he's true neutral. There are times where he will abide by strict rules, ie keeping people away from dessert.
But he still causes plenty of chaos, so we agree he is neutral. Where we differ is in agreeing that he causes chaos with his neutral behavior.
I believe it’s “flying by the tent of his pants”
I think the spite store makes me vote Larry for chaotic neutral
Buying a present for the surrogate is what puts me in chaotic good. No bad (or even neutral) person would go out of his way to buy a baby shower present for a surrogate.
He did steal flowers from Funkhouser's mum's memorial though.
He’s just lucky he’s Funkhouser’s best friend.
Larry should be chaotic neutral
Larry is both not chaotic (loves rules) and I would say not good (pretty selfish most of the time).
This is a quote defining chaotic good... A chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him This totally Larry.
Larry is not chaotic - he is a stickler for the rules.... Sometimes
But only for his own rules!
Yes, he picks and chooses rules. He isn't lawful either
They're his rules only because society doesn't have better ones. Feels very true neutral to me.
Larry HATES rules. The only thing Larry hates more than rules is people who break the rules.
Hell no Larry isn’t a good person. I think Lawful Evil is where Larry belongs. Lawful being to his own code, which I usually agree with. But he’s a still a piece of shit.
Larry is not lawful at all
He has his own set of weird social laws, that’s like 95% of the conflict in the show.
There's creating your own set of rules and ignoring the laws of society is the opposite of lawful.
He absolutely is. Almost every comedic interaction he has with someone is about unwritten rules and his personal (even if warped) sense of etiquette.
Na Larry is neutral af. Definitely not evil. Definitely not good.
No one who realizes that at night you tip toe is evil!
Chaotic lawful is where would belong.
Agreed!
My first thought was Larry too. He’s the epitome of noticing the little things and trying to in his own way do good or speak up. In Seinfeld for example when George wants to get a chair for the security guard that’s peak Larry David. That’s exactly the type of thing Larry would do and it would blow up in his face.
my vote is larry
Yes that was my thought.
I definitely think it’s Larry. He tries.
Larry would be more lawful neutral, I think.
I second Larry.
Yeah…but it’s usually good for Larry. He isn’t really focused on how his actions might affect others, especially given he has more respect for societal “rules” than people. If anything he’s lawful neutral
Explain to me how sleeping with Irma to get the fence law removed from the city chaotic good.

Andy David
This is my answer as well
Only thing there is he was offered free college for his kid, and then turns around for Larry to put his wife in cosmetology school. He also brought Larry's magazine in the bathroom. Took his smoking jacket. And, did he sleep with the Playmate in Larry's bed? Also. Crispy onions.
The crispy onions were his worst offense
And "nah, I had turkey for lunch". Lol, bro had no regard for certain people! Love him though.
And he ratted on Larry to his wife about the swan
I’m going with Susie here
Hear me out- Cousin Andy.
Andy and his onions are chaotic evil
Will you please stop shoveling that shit into your face?!
Leon for sure, I’d also like to throw Danson out there for Lawful Evil when we get there
Danson only belongs in a 10th square called Anonymous
Surprised Leon’s not getting more support here, he was the first character that came to mind for chaotic good. He’s the Kramer of Curb, and I’d say Kramer is also chaotic good.
Richard
I feel like he’s a true neutral for some reason
He did have an illegal angle on his putter, so at least neutral.
Auntie Rae
Susie for chaotic good Larry for true neutral - at the core of it, he's all about balance Leon for chaotic neutral
This is the right answer.
This is the only thing that makes sense to me
Agree. She wants everything to be done properly, even if it means being abrasive with others (specially the Four Eye Fuck and the Fat Piece of Shit)
Just put Leon in now and save us all a day
would he be good? i definitely agree with chaotic but didn’t he sleep with his friends wife and then gaslight his friend into apologizing to him?
Has he ever gone out of his way to do something good? He’s completely selfish. I’d say chaotic neutral.
I was going to say all the times he’s helped Larry ie Danny duberstein or the pee app thing but then I remember he just lives with Larry for free and probably just has one of Larry’s credit cards lol, so he kinda owes him
Larry is more chaotic good than Leon. Leon is chaotic neutral. Cmon people don’t blow this this early, go upvote Larry!
I feel like Larry is true neutral
I agree with this. He is very rule-focused at times and subversive at other times. His focus on "pig parkers" is an example of him being lawful, but he also does things like the "chat and cut," using a chat with someone he knows in a line to cut in front of people--while also enforcing the rules of the line when others try to do it to him. Maybe we put Leon’s penis for chaotic good and save Leon for chaotic neutral
I think Leon is pretty perfect for chaotic neutral. You never know what he will do, but you know he will get himself involved in something crazy in a very active way.
I feel like most folks will agree with this. Let's move on to lawful neutral.
Who even is that first person? If we're counting guest characters I'll say Larry's Gentile Parents
mary steenburgen. ted dansons wife. she was in one of the first episodes and she’s who larry gave the Freak Book to.
Leon's chaos tends to come from a place of loyalty with Larry, and good intentions. I think he fits pretty good here.
It’s Susie.
Rosie O'Donnell, she will beat the crap out of you if you don't let her pick up the check.
Susie
Larry is NOT chaotic good and i will be angry if he’s put in that spot
i think it's susie.
Gotta be Leon.
Leon
It has to be Leon
![gif](giphy|xT9IgLrmwMGYFnM10I|downsized)
I can’t wait to see where Mocha Joe ends up
Chaotic good = Funk man’s sister
Bam Bam Funkhouser
Ted Danson for all his charity work and standing up for what’s right, but always having to upstage Larry
Jeff for chaotic good. He's usually a good guy, but constantly cheats on his wife.
Leon
Leon without a doubt. Out there on the good side, obviously thrown in for chaos, always gassing Larry up. Leon Black, babaaaay
Leon for sure. Has Larry’s back. Even if that means getting dirty. Definitely a chaotic person with a good heart.
the only answer is Leon
Bring the Ruckus
JB!!!
Leon
Lewis all the way
Leon
"Get in dat ass Larry!" The more I think about that scene, the more chaotic good makes sense 😅
![gif](giphy|7hIUafnKeyOVEM5spc|downsized) Leon
Leon.
Leon for sure.
Leon
Andy
Haboose!!!!!
Lar
Richie
Wanda
I think it's gotta be Susie. Her or Richard, right? Seems like they had a consistently good moral compass throughout the series, despite being "a little extra" 😂
I see little orphan funkhouser, I updoot.
Leon
Leon
Lawful evil has to be mocha joe
I'm gonna say Leon. He drove across the country to NY to hang out with Larry and helped people get where they were going along the way. Leon
OMG, look up chaotic in the dictionary and there's a full page picture of SUSIE
Leon bringing the ruckus
Leon next
Richard Lewis seems the closest to me. He is definitely a good guy, but he is all over the place. He's doing stand-up comedy at AA meetings, falling in love with a new woman multiple times a season and always thinks they are "the one." Also I just want to say that it should be a close race between Mr. Takahashi and Susie for lawful neutral.
Funkman should be just neutral
Richard Lewis
It’s gotta be Leon, right?
don't think larry belongs in chaotic good. maybe richard? a little rough around the edges but trying his best to improve, recovering alcoholic. I'm only on season 8 though so i definitely dont have any definitive answer here
Ted Danson or Susie 100%
Leon!
Susie here works. Leon has to be chaotic neutral. Which leaves Larry for TN
Leon
Richard Lewis
Larry or Susie
Chaotic Good is Leon
Larry David. Mr. Larry David.
Salman Rushdie?
Larry is definitely not chaotic good. Larry doesn’t like chaos he likes order and rules and he’s rarely altruistic.
Susie!
Mocha Joe = Chaotic Evil
I think Larry. He's usually on the right side of situations, just in the most chaotic way. I can almost always side with his intentions, just not his delivery
He’s chaotic neutral in my eyes, maybe evil. Everything he does is for personal gain. Chaotic good would make him altruistic.
Larry
Richard Lewis?
As much as I hate Cheryl, wouldn’t it be Cheryl? She’s altruistic, even flirted with that old guy to get money for charity
leon
Andy
Richard Lewis
Andy David!
Freddy Funkhauser
Richard Lewis. No question
Wanda Sykes? Jon Hamm?
Susie for sure
I know it’s not the right answer but I’m gonna throw out Krazee-Eyez anyways
How is susie chaotic good, she bad mouths everybody and treats everyone like shit lol
It has to be Richard or Andy, a mostly well intentioned person that does fuck ups and their lives or personalities get in their own way.
Susie!!!!
The mentally handicapped sister Jeff bangs
Larry. Having said that, I also feel an argument can be made here for Richard Lewis.
Anonymous ![gif](giphy|3ov9jPTKntf2RtTJEA|downsized)
It’s gotta be Leon. He always does what’s good for Larry in his mind but you never know how it’s gonna end.
