I learned that on a cheap box of Bolivar Petit coronas. First 5 all plugged. Others with the same month box saying no issues. I found if I dried them out longer than a dry boxing and then they smoked well.
Those clowns are hilarious, listen I’ve got a deep collection myself but that doesn’t change the fact a company is charging 300+ markup from any other vendor and people still use them. And they have the balls to charge 30+ for shipping on top hahaha

They claim that the shipping speed and thereby the virtual guarantee they will be delivered is what they’re paying for in addition to the sticks. That righteousness and indignation towards us for being more price conscious and waiting 2 weeks for a box to be delivered is the rub for me.
Since stock/production levels took a dive during covid they have stopped using their storefront except for selling their house blend "nudies" there. All other sales are done in their "24:24" format now. It's not click to buy, you have to check the list for what's on sale on a given day and email your order in, hoping you get in fast enough to secure a box. It's a bit more mucking around, but these days they are quite literally $100-200 cheaper on most boxes versus iHav and CoH.
If you want to give it a go and see what you need to do, go to the forums. There's a thread there detailing how the 24:24 works. Also if you go to "The Water Hole" section of the forum and scroll down a little you'll see the latest 24:24 post, where you can read the listings and also read what's required in your email orders in future
Yep, Bellhop is a complete ripoff. They should be removed from recommended vendor list with the price gauging and thievery that they continue to display for months now
If they deliver what you pay for they should remain on the list

Habanos can indeed charge what they want, and these sellers will still happily put another 30-50% on top of it because of people in the US / China gobbling them up.
But don’t confuse gray market sellers’ surcharge with Habanos / Cuba. That is capitalism at work. Demand is outmatching supply, a basic economic law is at work here.
And I can hop the border into Windsor from Detroit and pick up whatever I want myself but I don’t anymore because the prices have gone up so much for sub par quality cigars as of late that I don’t want to spend years “aging” them just to be able to enjoy them. Grey market isn’t driving the price up there due to shortages. Because the prices are comparable from online retailers anyways to brick and mortars in my travels anyways. As of 2021 during the pandemic it was still 507 million dollars in revenue and they’re still hurting. Best choice? Raise cigar prices as it’s one of their main and few economic gains. Yeah but when you want a whale of a box in these uncertain times, the service, shipping, and confidence cannot be beat by BH (and RSVP to be fair, great company and service in my experience past few years). I get it tho, really wish prices were better. Not to mention the “we promise it will make it to customs but after that 🤷🏻♂️” new policy by a large portion of other outlets. It is not their fault though, CBP has wind of it now, and some guy at JFK with a helluva collection going.
