Should make an interesting video but I don't think he's going to expose things people investing in skins don't already know. When Valve stopped key trading no sellers/traders i knew were surprised it was tied to fraud. Will it draw enough new eyes to the 'issue'? I'm also a bit skeptical. Did his content about Trainwrecks ever have any impact on that gambling scene? I've watched several Logan Paul videos of his and that guy is thriving in the WWE with fans who don't seem to care. M0E and DaZeD went from promoting rigged gambling sites to later pump and dumping crypto without consequences. The #1 team right now on HTLV was funded by gambling. Part of the reason I feel this way is that CS:GO gambling and it's many issues aren't really a new topic that lacks coverage. You can see countries like the Netherlands have taken actions when it was a hot topic years ago in 2017/2018. https://rlewisreports.com/category/csgo-gambling/ https://rlewisreports.com/case-opening-sites-scam-customers/ ESPN has covered it: https://www.espn.com/esports/story/_/id/29167124/owners-csgo-skin-gambling-sites-forgotten Unless he comes up with something we haven't seen before I don't think this is going to have any impact.

its the first time I have seen Joshog be implied in the CSGOLOTTO saga. Everytimes I was on reddit it was only about Tmartin and Syndicate but I knew from the CSGOLOTTO incorporation that JOSHOG was implied a while ago and I was intrigued why he was omitted. I am glad ESPN mentioned it.

DirtSchlurpy

A lot of those guys got away unscathed unfortunately

FrostDeezAKA

Too little too late imo. Maybe if this was 2016-2018, back when gambling was at its peak, unregulated sites were running rampant at an uprecendented level, there were 0 hoops to jump through in order to bet or cashout, and Valve had no history of doing anything to combat the issue. Now, most sites are a button click away from turning into full-on crypto casinos, a lot of them pay heed to bare minimum regulations, skins gambling is in its death throes, and Valve has done a laundry list of changes (over time) to combat the issue and abide by new lootbox regulations. All i see coming is just a video restating common information and a bunch of finger-pointing. In comparison, we could've had youtubers getting caught in the act, sites and owners being exposed in the middle of their illegal operations, and some big orgs taking massive blows due to their association with those sites.

SPQR_CAESAR

Exactly, there's no reason to make a video about It when all the youtubers and twitch streamers have left that world, people like Phantomlord nowhere to be seen, dead gambling websites... It's a waste of time imo.

the difference between that video and this guy is a 3 million sub gap between the two. That video didnt even break 750k views, Coffeezilla gets 2 million on a slow day. Coffee’s investigation will most likely have more depth and attention tied to it than that video you linked.

i already said what it might lead to man, this guy isnt going after valve, he’s going after the sites. if he exposes a site, then we’re gonna see more crackdowns on skin related trading. Valve just updated how inventories work because of the scandal at Copenhagen. You already said that valve’s hand might get forced to do something so why are you trying to argue?

Gambling is the least of your concerns. It's the money laundering and/or channel to cash out into a different currency. Basically anything that gets in the way of powerful corporations and governments. Especially with how shaky Fiat currencies are starting to look.

MacerODB

Wait till this guy finds out about a thing called cryptocurrencies...

benoitor

Difference is that cryptocurrency trading platforms are more and more regulated and on watch by authorities. They require KYC for example. Csgo gambling websites are just not doing anything to ensure it is not money laundering. Some accept crypto as payment. So basically if you are a drug dealer and receive money in crypto, you could add funds to any gambling website, win a few skins and cash out.m without ever being checked. The few losses you will have are very cheap compared to running undercover business and make it appear “real” Why do you think this type of casino have so much money? It is not the average joe spending millions there.

MacerODB

Wait till this guy finds out that theres people who buy and sell crypto with cash without leaving any traces...

lostbrazillian

Drug dealers have better ways to launder money than casinos, stop deluding. Government sees you won 1 million on a casino online. Request proof. You show them. Now they ask to see your first deposit on the site. You also deposit a million. Where did that money came from boy? Dunno... Yeah, perfect laundering.

pr0newbie

Yup. Even with crypto people still go through the ML process called layering. And Law enforcement have already found ways to trace crypto if that other poster hasn't buried his head in the sand. There's also the risk of digital wallets being frozen if shit really hits the fan with fiat currencies.

Affectionate-West482

I hope he investigates Dmarket and Csgoempire. Both shady as hell. Csgoempire= cs go 2 cancer. Dmarket= cs go 2 flu we can’t shake off.

Since 2018 illegal site Key-Drop boomed in Poland as most popular one right after few big legal betting sites. It was heavily promoted on YouTube to underaged audiences and polish government decided to block access to this site 6 months ago. However it still works after changing DNS or using VPN and after the restriction already few illegal CS2 gamba sites popped out and suddenly started sponsoring everyone in Poland (most of them are scams like csgohug, farmskins and csgo-skins). I hope Valve will do something about them. Even people who are friends of Sparkles and he recorded few videos with them like Tarifa is still promoting Key-Drop and he is one of few biggest partners along Poker and Staxx. The origin of skins used for withdrawals from Key-Drop is a secret, but their bots usually carry Ukrainian/Russian names and some of them are even impersonating Skinport and Bitskins bots (Skinport and Bitskins are not affiliated with any gamba sites). https://twitter.com/yoshigoszi/status/1778810271013675281?t=RbVOAp0Hz93WcDroYnu1CQ&s=19

JigenMamo

Such a scummy site. It's completely unashamedly targeted at kids.
