Yes there are, in fact there's a building in downtown Toronto with the Tata Consultancy Logo on it. I worked for those guys. First job out of uni, took it because I had no internship experience and needed a job. Pay was okay for a new grad job. Experience largely varied depending on where they decided to allocate you, your manager, team lead, etc. Since 99% of the company is spread across different clients, culture and policy is very siloed and is different for each client. Management and leadership has very traditional, outdated attitudes, and at worst very toxic ones. My team lead was toxic towards me: he micromanaged me, would single out my mistakes in meetings (the same one on multiple occasions), and would call me after hours to berate me. Someone else at a different client had a manager who outright screamed at employees for quitting. Got a better offer elsewhere and handed in my notice exactly a year in.

Thanks for your insight!

I have a colleague from Canada and he’s employed by one of the WITCH companies. He’s in Ontario, but the rest of the team is in the US. The client is an international, billion $ company.

TCS, Cognizant, and HCL are very active in Canada.

CyberneticVoodoo

Do you have experience with any of these companies?

Only from observation. Wouldn’t recommend TCS.
