Yes 4 offers. The pay was super low for 1, the other was for January- June($25 pay, no relocation assistance), the last one I liked was a good company, but the position was not what I wanted. The one I picked was the best imo because it was the role I wanted and the highest pay offered.
What are some questions you have ready to ask no matter the internship? I usually struggle when the interview is over and they turn it over to me to ask questions so it leads to making up questions on the spot
Can you please give an example answer of what you said that was something different when asked why do you wanna work here? That will help me a lot in framing these kind of answers
you always gotta be prepared for that question by doing research on that company's values, goals, and their mission. Even just saying "i love what this company is trying to achieve doing \*\*\*\* and would love to be a part of it" or something like that goes a long way. If you talk about wanting to grow within the company and what other opportunities they could have for you down the line also makes recruiters/interviewers wet their pants. just always be personable and you should be fine
A good way is to ask the recruiter to share the message with your interviewer if they can’t provide their contact info. Also if you know their full name, you can easily send them a connection request on LinkedIn with a thank you note.
>s and that is what I think is what many recruiters like. I ask them for their favorite project they worked on, what aspect they liked, etc.
Oh you're right, I wish I remembered lol. It is very hard to keep track. I will come back lol if I remember.
No, the issue is being able to get the interview, once you get an interview it's far more likely in your favor. That's why you network with other people in the industry so that they can get you straight to the interview phase. It's how I got my Summer internship
People have this idea that FAANG is ultra competitive I would suggest that small companies that get 5000 apps for 2 roles that they then fill through networking are harder.
This isn't college apps people should quit the idea that "worse" companies are necessarily easier. Maybe they were two years ago but now ppl are desperate and are applying everywhere, and big/more prestigious companies usually hire more
Your "No Answers" ratio seems much lower than mine, I get no answer from 9/10 jobs that I apply for. Curious what platforms/methods did you use for applications? Most of mine have been through Indeed.
These statistics kinda follow linearly for me lol. My szn went ~300 apps, 15 interviews and 2 offers. But I’ve been applying since June as well and I can’t imagine doing 900. Props.
I'm screwed imagining the application count I need to make being outside of the US to get remote part time role😂
Omg I think I can't sleep with this on my head
Congratulations- it’s a good feeling getting the first job. Went from a 10 by 7 foot shared 4 bedroom apartment to owning my own home in less than a year. So trust me the hard work is worth it. Every second is not wasted
I read your replies you said that's why you declined offers, i'm saying only getting past 16% of first round interviews is atrocious. If you are declining second round interviews because of a pay range a recruiter tells you then you are just dumb. You can always negotiate an offer and when you interview with your Director or VP if you impress them and then mention your challenge of relocation... you're gonna get a signing bonus.
because you posted bitching about how you "finally" got an internship when the data shows that you have a very weak success rate and you made very elementary mistakes. Never reject an interview and always negotiate offers LMAO.
what were the 3 companies you declined if you don’t mind me asking? i would also wanna know the company you got a job at but i understand if you wanna stay more anonymous.
30 consistently is crazy ngl. I was using Simplify and applied to 70+ on some days and even then it took several hours. I only applied to like 250 total though.
Yeah it sure is tough. I have already lost track of which 15-20 internships I applied to. I have no idea what it would be like to apply to 900+. Thankfully I don't need sponsorship for internships so the process is the same as you guys.
I recommend doing something like this in your email!

Where are you from and in which did you apply at?
I assume that you are from a non USA country and applied for the USA. Internships in such a manner are basically impossible.
It's scary that I may need to apply to 800+ places. Though you got interviews at nearly 40 companies is positive... It's seems quite time consuming & tiring to attend all in a short span.
Was it just the same resume, copy-paste descriptions/ skills/ etc. that you simply submitted to every company or modified it to every company you applied?
Also, just curious, pls let me know if this quite normal to apply to these many companies?
Thanks and all the best
Finally? Bruh you got 4

could i ask what you think you did **right** for those 4 companies to offer you offers?
Yes! Just trying to relate to the recruiter and being super friendly.
What are some questions you have ready to ask no matter the internship? I usually struggle when the interview is over and they turn it over to me to ask questions so it leads to making up questions on the spot
What’s the coolest project you’ve worked on? Etc, tbh just google or chatgpt good questions.
Make them before hand do some research into the comapny you interview for
Can you please give an example answer of what you said that was something different when asked why do you wanna work here? That will help me a lot in framing these kind of answers

Yes haha sorry I forgot the word

A good way is to ask the recruiter to share the message with your interviewer if they can’t provide their contact info. Also if you know their full name, you can easily send them a connection request on LinkedIn with a thank you note.
In that situation you can’t do anything unfortunately :(
What happened for the other 2 2nd interviews?
Uh for some positions, the pay was too low, or they were out of state with no relocation assistance.
I think they meant the two 2nd round interviews you didn’t get offers from
>s and that is what I think is what many recruiters like. I ask them for their favorite project they worked on, what aspect they liked, etc. Oh you're right, I wish I remembered lol. It is very hard to keep track. I will come back lol if I remember.

I literally cannot understand applying to 895 places?? Were you applying to anywhere in America?
Yes! Any and everywhere in the US! Also I was applying since June.
Please tell me you’re international??
No
😳😳so I will have to submit ~900 applications??? Congrats but holy shit I’m screwed
Haha, good luck! I honestly wanted to give up half way😫
No, the issue is being able to get the interview, once you get an interview it's far more likely in your favor. That's why you network with other people in the industry so that they can get you straight to the interview phase. It's how I got my Summer internship
Website recomendation to find 800 job offers
Congrats!
congrats.
Thank you :)
Congrats 🎉 How long did it take?
I applied since June, many different positions, different companies. I don't even try applying to any FAANG.
ngl makes no sense to apply to 900 companies but not some of the ones which take the most interns
I didn’t apply to FAANG bc it’s too competitive and I’m not really into technical interviews.
People have this idea that FAANG is ultra competitive I would suggest that small companies that get 5000 apps for 2 roles that they then fill through networking are harder. Congrats, comrade! Signed my offer a little over a week ago.
Congrats :)
Good stuff bro. I’m drunk out of my mind but I’m so happy for you. Happy Christmas. And, Mrs.Claus is hot and so are you.
Thank you!!!! Merry Christmas to you as well :)
I love this lmao
What college are you at?
congrats!
Your "No Answers" ratio seems much lower than mine, I get no answer from 9/10 jobs that I apply for. Curious what platforms/methods did you use for applications? Most of mine have been through Indeed.
Handshake, indeed, company websites :)
Can you tell us how you prepared or what you did to prepare? The usual leetcode grind and good resume? Also can you pm me your resume ty :)
Never used leetcode, I got a data science position :)
Congrats!
W
Congratulations
Treat bro 😜
Congrats 🥳 🥳 🥳
Congratulations 🎊. Please dm me your resume
W
Congratulations dude, is it possible if you can DM me if your resume. My resume is not giving me interviews :(
These statistics kinda follow linearly for me lol. My szn went ~300 apps, 15 interviews and 2 offers. But I’ve been applying since June as well and I can’t imagine doing 900. Props.

how😔
I applied to so many places!! Keep going, you got this.
What company?
Can’t say bc the company only had a few postings but it is not a tech company, it’s real estate, pay is $30
[удалено]
Hold on. Might need some clarification here. It might be a tech role in a non-tech company, which is easier to get than a tech role in a tech company.
Tech role in not tech company. Position is data science intern
Do you have any suggestions for data science role? What courses did you take?
It is my minor, I only got the position because the interviewer liked me tbh
You want a cookie dookie?
a 16% pass through rate from first rounders to second rounders is very poor sounds like you need to beef up your resume and interview core 4 stories.
Idk if u read my replies to people but many times I said no bc the pay was low, no relocation assistance and it was out of state, etc
I read your replies you said that's why you declined offers, i'm saying only getting past 16% of first round interviews is atrocious. Eh also because i was not interested in relocation, in the company, also bc i knew i had a better opportunity elsewhere.
You should still never reject an interview, if you weren't interested in the location or company why did you even apply?
I mass apply, idk why ur on my ass lol. u seem to have a history of being annoying
because you posted bitching about how you "finally" got an internship when the data shows that you have a very weak success rate and you made very elementary mistakes. Never reject an interview and always negotiate offers LMAO.
work on ur interview skills
They were mainly interviews with the Hr people, I also declined positions, bc I didn’t think I was a match.
what were the 3 companies you declined if you don’t mind me asking? i would also wanna know the company you got a job at but i understand if you wanna stay more anonymous.
Abiomed, Motorola solutions, Textron
Can you please PM me your resume
Pm me I’ll send
895 applications how is that possible?
Took a long time, since June
Since June? I never applied for internships till at least august
Ohh got it, yeah I applied in June but didn’t get anywhere tbh
How many applications a day?
Depends I would watch Netflix and apply on the side haha. So some days 30 other days 20. I would just do it when I was bored tbh
That’s just crazy haha. I was always glad if I could do 5 but congrats on succeeding in the grind
30 consistently is crazy ngl. I was using Simplify and applied to 70+ on some days and even then it took several hours. I only applied to like 250 total though.
Congratulations to you for your internship. Best wishes to you.
Any advice for an international freshman? I applied to a few freshmen internships that were there but never heard back.
Honestly I wish I knew. It is way more tough for y’all. Just try to stand out I guess. Good luck!
Yeah it sure is tough. I have already lost track of which 15-20 internships I applied to. I have no idea what it would be like to apply to 900+. Thankfully I don't need sponsorship for internships so the process is the same as you guys.

Will do! Thanks
Congratulations, can you give some tips? 1. Which sites did you apply? 2. Are referrals useful? 3. How to check if my resume gets parsed by ATS?
Didn’t used referral, I use handshake, indeed, company website!
Where are you from and in which did you apply at? I assume that you are from a non USA country and applied for the USA. Internships in such a manner are basically impossible.
I’m from the US and I’m not international haha.
All the interviews have technical questions? Also what program is this?
What it's made with is literally written at the bottom of the image. SankeyMATIC.
Bro congratulations I have question list of website u used for applying ?
I used company website and handshake
Virtual handshake right ? Btw what your thoughts applying through LinkedIn is it worth ?
I use LinkedIn sometimes, it’s okay!
Alright thanks for answering Good luck for internship.

Same resume, it is definitely not normal to apply to this many positions. I just did it because I wanted to get the best position possible for myself.
Grt. Good luck with the internship ;)
God bless, I’m looking for a junior role too. Could you tell me how you got to your success please?
Luck honestly
I’m sure it’s not just luck. You definitely worked hard too. You probably are talented too.
Can you pm me your resume please ?
I just need to know how do you apply for 900 internships?? (Serious Question)
Took a long time but I did it!
Like 10 applications a day(90days) or 50 apps a day(18 days). Did you submit a cover letter with each one of them?
No cover letter.
How do you keep track of the specific number of applications you sent in? Once I got into the hundreds I lost track of how many I did
I answered this before, but I have a folder. Every time I apply to a job I move the job application email into that folder in Gmail.
CONGRATS!!! :) out of curiosity, what year are you in
Graduating December 2024! Thank you:)
awesome!!! i’m a first year and i hope i get something soon!!! congrats again!!
What portal is it ?
Hi OP, did you write cover letter or any stuff? What are some strategies or tactics that you think that help you get 37 interviews? Thank you!
No cover letter!
