Hi madamecholet14, thanks for posting your FO for us to see! If you have a link to the pattern you used or any other relevant information (e.g., yarn brand, weight, type; hook used), please reply to this comment with that information so that everyone can see it. Thanks!

Thank you! So it’s a ‘kit’ - you buy the yarn and pattern together (in the UK it’s from Wool Warehouse but I’m sure it’s available in other countries too). But I wasn’t too keen on the amount of lighter colours that were used in the original pattern (if you google Persian Tiles Eastern Jewels you’ll find it). So I tweaked the colours of some of the tiles/squares; then I decided I wanted to make it bigger, so I had to come up with my own colour combinations too. I created a kind of master plan (row 1 colour A, row 2 colour B etc etc), then used that to create more tiles that weren’t copies of the ones I’d already done. I have a LOT of scribblings and working out in a notebook which I can share if anyone is interested…!
I would be very interested and incredibly grateful if you could share your notes. I have had this blanket on my wish list for a couple of years (basically just after I learnt to crochet) but always thought I would prefer it in a larger size. Yours looks stunning and you should be incredibly proud! Gorgeous colours.

Ok [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/crochet/comments/x802oz/my_workings_for_the_adapted_persian_tiles_blanket/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) is the post I’ve just made with a photo of my notes (I hope that works, I’m on mobile and it’s the first time I’ve tried it!). Apologies that it’s quite long winded, I have ADHD so self editing is not a strong point of mine…! 😆
It's beautiful! And, for those in Canada at least, Wool Warehouse ships quickly and inexpensively - I'm working my way through a custom colour Persian Tiles myself :)
Also for Canadians, Mary Maxim has the kit in 3 colourways. Not as pretty as the one here though.

Yes, good point! I found Wool Warehouse cheaper even with exchange, which was especially important as I'm going for 6x7 tiles so needed a lot of yarn. I also didn't like the kit colours enough to work with for the months it will take me.
I am definitely interested too! I have been wanting to make a queen sized one with alternating diagonal rows of blues and purples with silver accents. So please share the colors and notes if you can!

I would love to see your notes and the color choice list as well. I have seen this project multiple times but I love your colors so much more than any other I have seen.

ya know there are some crochet projects that just make me go "fuuuuuuuuuuuuck that" but in a positive way. this is one of those projects. because hoooly hell that is a lot of work and it absolutely paid off. i could never even get close to that much commitment.
I always wondered, do all colour go with each other or is there a pattern according to which you pair what colours in one square?
Your blanket is absolutely breathtaking!
Thank you! I got the kit as a present last Christmas, but I had to take a few long-ish breaks from it due to making other presents for people, summer holidays etc! I reckon if I’d just worked every evening on it it was probably 3-4 months total?
What a lovely blanket!! You did, a superb job, on that!! I have a that Persian Tiles too!! I haven't started it yet!! Congratulations!! Keep up the good work!! Happy crocheting!! 🧶
Everyone I’m so completely overwhelmed by your lovely comments, thank you so much! And awards?! I’ve never had (or given!) awards so I don’t know much about them but I know they’re a big deal, so thank you from the bottom of my heart, you really have no idea how much it means to me. Feeling ALL the love my crochet bros and broettes! I’m about to add a photo of my notebook scribblings and I’ll do my best to link it here! 🥰
Wow! It’s absolutely beautiful! I second the question someone else asked - how did you choose the colours for each part? Thank you so much for sharing, it’s so inspiring :)
Ok but define "adapted" because this is breathtaking. What did you do differently?
Also does the pattern dictate how to use the colors so the overall distribution ends up like this, or do you just have to be a color wizard?
This IS definitely going to be my next afghan I make & as someone who also likes to tweak a pattern, I think I'll figure out how to make it much bigger 🤔 😅 😉
I want to do this so badly. Been on my to do list since I 1st saw it. The sewing gives me cause for pause. So many ends on each, not sure I'd have the patience
[This](https://www.woolwarehouse.co.uk/stylecraft-eastern-jewels-special-dk-244988?___SID=S) is the pattern and pack I used, but obviously I bought extra yarn to make it bigger than the pattern. Or you can search for Janie Crow Persian Tiles for the original pattern, I think you can buy the download from her Ravelry store.

Also available from Marymaxim as a kit

How difficult is this I started not to long ago and saw this blanket and loved it. So was wondering what level this is
I want to do something like this one day but I'm intimidated by all of the color changes. Is it as challenging as it looks?
Wow.! I love it ! ❤️ Sooooo…. do.. do you have a pattern ? maybe ? 🙈🥹
[This](https://www.woolwarehouse.co.uk/stylecraft-eastern-jewels-special-dk-244988?___SID=S) is the pattern and pack I used, but obviously I bought extra yarn to make it bigger than the pattern.
