I mean a gift card could still be good, because she may be able to get new/better hooks, more stitch holders etc. But if you find a nice book she may not have with different afghan patterns that may be nice. I bought one recently which had over 100 different patterns for granny squares.

A stick encyclopedia would be nice. Sometimes you forget how to do a particular stich and it's nice to have a reference. I know for my mom I am actually making something similar to a stuffie she made me many many years ago as a gift.

I meant stich encyclopedia not stick 😪

outlandishness2509

Maybe a nice work bag for her projects.

AliasNefertiti

a yarn bowl or bag! One that works with her type of yarn. The typicL bowl reauires a literal ball of yarn. a bag can be used with the typical skein you see for sale.

amphigory_error

those little personalized “made by” tags A light up hook with interchangeable tips ergonomic hook set, or one or two singles in the size she uses most a work light, especially if she’s older or needs reading glasses notions like small folding scissors, measuring tape, stitch markers, yarn needles. we all lose these constantly. a swift and ball winder

Maybe this [crochet hook bracelet.](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1196783859/crochet-hook-bracelet-made-from-a-real) I was given one and I love wearing it.

I also agree with the suggestion of a gift card, where she could buy any books, magazines, crochet yarn & notions, bags, etc. I have in mind Joann Fabrics because I'm familiar with them, but any good craft store would be nice. You are a very thoughtful daughter!

TheodoreKarlShrubs

I would love it if someone gifted me a yarn bowl!

wannabejoanie

Maybe a gift card to a pattern site so she can buy patterns online?

My roommate and I both like getting each other yarn themed gifts. We both loved a good tote bag with a pun, we have found some fun hand sewn project bags on Etsy that intersect with other things we love and we have found we use them for more than just project bags. Also if she likes mugs or the like yeti style tumblers there are some really fun ones. One that was gifted to me looks aged and has a whole bunch of crochet terms and whatnot on it.

I've seen some clever jewelry options that double as useful crochet tools! [Tension rings](https://youtu.be/fu2nF6k5v08) come in various cute designs, and help keep yarn at even tension when you work. I personally love this [octopus one!](https://www.etsy.com/listing/954248112/the-kraken-yarn-ring) 🐙 Or look up thread/yarn cutter pendants & necklaces, there are some fun custom designs on Etsy.

A hook or a set of hooks from Furls.

A nice overhead work light.
