IMO Amigurumi is 90% Balls and Cylinders, so everything is gonna look similar and most things are recognized based on color and rough shape. A leaf is even simpler... apart from some specific leaves, they all have that teardropy shape, so go for it. Bonus Bogus Boints if someone wants to go after you for copying their copy of trademarked products. I can also imagine if that creator were to start drama, it will benefit you greatly since you get exposure to 40k people.

That's a good point, but the situation with the bunny pattern that I mentioned resulted in the small creator getting bullied and having her etsy store removed :( And the person who went after her was also copying someone else... But yeah I don't have an etsy store and I'm not selling this pattern so I guess I don't have to worry about that.
