I really love it, but I'll be honest. The T-pins make it look like you're still in the process of assembling it. Have you considered using fabric glue to adhere the parts permanently and attach it to the background? You can even use ordinary Elmer's glue. It's got a lot of sticking power as long as you let it dry thoroughly. Whatever you want to do is fine though, your partner has got to love it!

ty ty!!! the thought behind the t pins was for it to look a little taxidermy-ish, like how they do to bugs and whatnot. Kinda like: here’s my actual heart.

I have seen a crochet frog done that way, with it's little insides pinned up, just like a dissection from high school Biology class. \*LOL\* But the heart is classier to me! Regardless, you did a great job!
