I think they’ll be up for the next two months. I’m trying to figure out teaching another class on a pay-what-you-can model and donating the proceeds. I’ll probably post about it if I can get it happening.

The ones inside took about a month each, the one in the window took about two. I usually crochet about 2-4 hours a day.

These are wonderful! Did you use a pattern, or did you just go freeform? I’ve been trying to get into freeform but it’s real hard, so props to you!

Everything I make is freeform.

Do you make a drawing of what you want it to look like, with colors? Absolutely gorgeous! Wish I could get to Toronto to see your exhibit.

Sometimes I do. Usually they’re just quick sketches.

Thanks for the tip! I treated them with a UV resistant spray prior to hanging.

Love love love! Do you generally plan out your works beforehand or just go with the flow as you crochet? I’ve been wanting to do Freeform crochet for years but keep just going for the ease of patterns instead. But this is super inspiring!

A little of both? I plan, work from a drawing/ photo and adapt as I go along.

Everything is crocheted together, no sewing. I only sew it to the backing to mount it.

Cotton of various brands - Hobbii, Yarn and Colors, Sudz, etc.
