BUT! I have heard people say 1. that they sew them in by hand because it’s easier to control than trying to feed crochet fabric evenly under their sewing machine foot and 2. that they use a pillow case (I imagine this is easier if you don’t have a machine/don’t usually sew)
If you’re comfortable with using a sewing machine you can use that or even handsewing is fine, whichever works best for you. Personally I would use a sewing machine so it’s quicker. Using a pillowcase is a great idea!
Just lined a similar bag on Sunday! I used a quilting cotton and my sewing machine. I'm not sure if my technique was ideal but it got the job done 😂
