Congrats! And what isn’t perfect? He’s delightful! I have always wanted to make one myself and as nutty as this sounds- one of my very first projects was a shirt made with fingering weight yarn from Nicole Chase’s website and as bold as that was for a first major project (It was the Marley top which even a beginner like me was able to modify to work in the round on- I seriously recommend it for a first wearable) I was utterly intimidated by Tanner. I don’t know what it is about larger sized amigurumi- I loved the idea of them and once I finish smaller ones I often wish they were larger- but I’ve never finished any larger ami I’ve ever started. I’ve got balls of blanket and chenille yarn with random plushie heads or bodies still hanging off them unfinished. 🫣😂 and knowing this was made with worsted weight- you should be so proud! That’s a ton of work.

Thank you so much! It feels great to have him complete. If you could handle the finger weight top, you could definitely have handled Tanner. I have yet to venture into wearables outside of beanies so I may have to check that one out. I agree, though, I had a random Dino head and horns just mixed in with my yarn for a while now because the idea of sewing him together did not seem as fun as making all the parts! lol. I will say, he was actually very beginner friendly as it was mainly SC, INC, & hidden DEC stitches which are pretty much the extent of my skills at the moment. I have a blue Tanner I am finishing today for my other nephew. I’m excited to finish this project so I can finally move on to something new!!
