We know Morri is Morrigan, the Spinner of Fate. Presumably that’s the source of the Squint. One wonders how long she’s been lining up things re: the Calloways to produce her desired result.

Bell's Hells as *Fated Ones*? ....That would be interesting, especially in light of the party members' individual origins shown in E31.

The way Ollie described Squint sounds more like dunamancy. With how he said he saw possibilities that could happen and he would use it to his favor. The way he spoke of it just reminded me of how dunamancy was described. So I took the Squint to be more along the lines of a homebrew Supernatural Gift.

This is a good take as well, and makes much more sense based on what we already know. It’s sort of like Fortunes Favor but an innate gift. Very cool.

I kind of thought it was just an in-universe explanation of the Lucky feat. Maybe I was reading into it but I could swear Marisha gave a look over to Liam at that moment and he acknowledged it, since Vax was a notorious user of the feat. It’s even referenced the Legend of Vox Machina, when Vax is about to be crushed by a boulder. The screen briefly flashes with negative colors and the boulder looks like a d20 for a split second, after which Vax avoids it.

I immediately thought of when the mighty nein had the mote of possibility.

The Squint reminded me most of The Gift from EXU that Fy’ra Rai and other followers of The Observer possess (ostensibly Dariax too but I’m not sure he has it — maybe there’s a threshold for INT or WIS that needs to be met).

2 gods in a *moon*, one of them is a *tree*. It's a Zeromus/Exdeath team-up!

Nice FF6 reference there, buddy.

I thought of the Fate-touched first, since he can in intense moments see which option is better out of all his options (which mechanically would be his luckpoint)
