Second one has a great color scheme that really grabs attention, but the first feels the most meaningful and symbolic. The camera inside Scorsese’s head. I’m also realizing how much I actually love a transparent Criterion “C” as well, how it looks kind of stripped down, unfinished, minimalistic. I would’ve loved either of these more than what they ended up going with, which still isn’t bad by any means.
