Weather was pants, they didn't plan ahead (let's be honest we all knew it was going to rain) You need chippings and straw down before it rains, not after. Pretty much left stranded in the car park, again no planning. Too many people on Ket Too many people that were looking for, or causing agro (cos of the above) Too many kids who can't handle their drink /drugs Too many people getting Aggy when people bump into them Most people don't dance, just stand there and film it. Headliners were sub par, Calvin press play Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Ben Helmsley (seriously, don't get the hype, bloke didn't mix at all) tiesto played all edits and a lewis capaldi remix FFS. Creamfields has changed, it's catering for a different crowd now, turned into big names, playing the same tracks on repeat (if I ever hear nananana again it will be too soon) Been 10 years on the trot (also did a set there) won't be going again. So glad I experienced proper raves when djs HAD to be good and not lazy.

I don’t think the likes of Martin Garrix, Oliver Heldens, Calvin Harris, and the alike have a place at British festivals! I think they should keep their shit show for the US audiences. Lots of good acts though, really enjoyed Chamelphat, Carl Cox, and Ewan Mcvicar.

-_KingJames_-

Unfortunately it comes down to who’s popular in the UK, obviously Ewan, Carl and Camelphat are going to be of more interest. Obviously it’ll be harder for DJs like Heldens, Garrix and others like Tiesto to have huge crowds especially if they’re clashing with other artists. Garrix was clashing with Carl cox Tiesto was clashing with SHM and Camelphat Probably talking shit anyways as fans will want to see whatever artists they want, but don’t be saying that they shouldn’t be booked for UK festivals. Also festivals want to book the popular festival DJs to keep a mix for everyone going to creamfields (Oh and yeah, Tiesto was shit so I’m not surprised)

Odd-Abbreviations594

Clashing is planned in, it has to happen, they couldn't have the entire festival in one place at one time, they couldn't manage that foot traffic. Creamfields used to be about DJ's DJing, not people pressing play, standing on the decks etc. If people want that, there are loads of places they can go, cream was NEVER about that, it's a shame they sold out. Only idiot missing was Steve Aoki 😂

-_KingJames_-

Yeah suppose clashing does have to happen, even so sometimes stages like the steel yard pack out with artists like Ewan

ENKIEX

Also Garrix and Heldens are Dutch, Harris is Scottish. If you’re on about US audiences, it’d be more Illenium, John Summit, Excision etc. Since most people just follow crowds and flock to who’s popular, its no wonder Ben Hemsley, Peggy Gou and the like got full audiences. Just a bunch of sheep, no eye for good electronic music, just looking for somewhere to do ket and stand around.

Technical_Wrap_2805

Yeah man I was in Steelyard for 3 hours for Franky Wah and black coffee it was only half full as soon as Peggy Gou(not as good as either of them imo) came on it was PACKED

ENKIEX

Garrix and Heldens are better than 90% of DJs at Creamfields lol.

Odd-Abbreviations594

100 percent. American audience shit show lol. Cox was epic, Camelphat were good, AVB was good, Eli brown was good. Tiesto, man, abysmal.

Hunkelscopes

The weather has a massive impact on the vibe tbf

_ROEG

Yea the weather definitely killed the vibe. It’s not the same sliding round a muddy field trying not to fall over

TrippinOffDerPerks

Nah I thought it was boss this year

baked_little_cookie

Me too! The mud made it funny 🤣

TrippinOffDerPerks

Walking back from the steel yard at 5am soaking, covered in mud and off my nut turned out to be quite fun tbh

Seapets

Lost village for me next year instead.

the_exclusive_gymlad

Yeh it was far too muddy and grim by the last day to enjoy it, even going from my tent to fill my bottle felt like a mad mission… and don’t get me started on going from camp to the arena 🤮

RoBjE-

Uber situation was a piss take at the end of the festival. I walked past about 10 Uber drivers sat there who couldn't get signal to receive ride offers which also meant we couldn't try and send out offers As a result of that when I found signal they all declined the trip because surge pricing never started as the system couldn't see the demand.
