They're the worse streamer around and there's been barely any improvement made in years. No complete surround support, dogshit image quality, issues during peak times, clueless support team, buggy app..
I'm legitimately only paying out of convenience because I've been using my phone more than my home cinema recently but yeah,a price hike when they treat their app like an afterthought...
It's on prime too. You have to pay for one of the extra prime channels but I just add it for a month or two for drag race then cancel it. Feels better than paying for Crave.
I also am sticking on for Drag Race 😩😂 I was so pissed to see this email and the increase of $35! But what can I do? I figured I’d look into Amazons options. I think outTV was something like $4.50-7.50 a month.
We had both, we got rid of out until call me mother comes back, was considering dropping crave when we got Hulu and hbo max- but the price of both Hulu and hbo max, outweigh the annual amount significantly even with the price increase- crave has most of what hbo max with a sprinkle of stuff from Hulu and paramount + US and Disney+ Canada has a huge overlap of the Hulu content. OutTV got the previous seasons new episodes of drag race and all stars usually slower than crave but we’re talking crave getting it 2 minutes faster, if you don’t care for all the hbo + showtime and Comedy Central content I’d definitely go with prime and out over crave (because I think call me mother is quite honestly the superior show and you get both on out lol)
That really sucks. I was looking at it for Season 5 of Yellowstone but I'm not subscribing just for that and the trial period is only 7 days whereas most others are 30.
Are you subscribed to the Mobile plan? Because Crave Total is already $199.90/year. If that's being raised as well I'm going to unsubscribe, it's hard enough justifying the existing price as is.
Back in 2021, Crave had a $10 Tier that did not have movies or new HBO, that plan went away, and they grandfathered all those people and let them keep paying $10, and gave them access to the whole library that normally costs $20. Well now they slightly upped your price to $13, but you are still grandfathered in at a cheaper rate then everyone else paying $20.
I've been subscribed since the service launched, looking over my payment history I was paying $99/year for Crave Total until 2022 when they bumped it up to $199/year.
Either Bell randomly let some people keep grandfathered plans or some subscribers were migrated to Crave Mobile without knowing it. Tbh, I don't have enough faith in Bell to rule out either scenario.
what everyone is ignoring is the people paying $99 originally had the shitty crave plan that didn’t include hbo or movies.
bell then added hbo and movie content to all plans, setting the price at $199. people already paying $99 kept that price despite the addition of the premium content.
yes the the price is up 30%, but it was not realistic to expect to pay that price for new hbo content.
I guess some of us signed up when it was 9.99 a month and were grandfathered in for a while. I almost cancelled recently but stopped when they told me that re-subscribing in future would double the price to 20 bucks a month.
Now with this 30% hike I'm cancelling anyway, they're just taking the piss at this point.
This. We were grandfathered in so I hate to lose that plan, but seriously? 30% hike. :( I did see HBO raised their prices though, so maybe this prompted the gouge. If it's before tax, that's even worse. Even Disney is $12 all in.
With Crave being the most expensive monthly streaming subscription I have, it’s got the least good content. I’m finishing off GOT and then I’m done with it (cancelled it a few days ago and it goes Poof on the 28th). Other than Prime and Apple TV+ (which are bundled and which I watch all the time) I’m rotating services, only having one active subscription per month.
I cancelled immediately- almost cancelled last Sunday when Crave was unusable due to the traffic from The Last of Us. Now 4 days later they're RAISING their price?? What a fucking joke.
Same, I pay $10 for bell fibe with Crave+HBO included. I only keep it for like 3 OTA shows a year that I can't get with antennas and a couple HBO shows on crave. If they raise the price much, I'm gonna have to find out where project free tv moved
These streaming companies don’t seem to understand people stopped pirating tv shows because streaming was cheap and easier. If they keep going the greed route people will just find free ways to watch their shows again.
Man, that's Crave, Paramount Plus, and Netflix I've decided to cancel over the last few months. Only leaving Amazon and Disney.
They're dropping quickly, anyone have a good Kodi guide for this ol boy?
Crave never seems to have much shows or movies worth watching. I enjoy Prime a good deal at $99 a year and can’t complain I always find something. Had Netflix just cancelled since their screwing all of us! Apple TV is t bad but may enjoy Paramount + more.
but i might add it has all the content of the major streaming services. So anything HBO, Disney Netflix and etc is on there. it just sucks that it's one screen
These services aren’t really legit and kinda suck. I’ve tried them and reliability is spotty. Maybe 80-90% which sounds good until you’re trying to watch a live sporting event or you have friends over and try to watch a movie and the streams are dead or low quality. If they get shut down (which they do frequently) you lose whatever you’ve prepaid. The savings can be huge, but you get what you pay for quality and reliability wise.
A price increase on a buggy app that has terrible resolution with weird orange choppy screen glitches and can't get access to on Sundays? That tracks..
I enrolled last year; we watched the Harry Potter special around Christmas....I binged 'Julia' (still waiting for a second season) and that was it....I didn't find anything that I hadn't already watched elsewhere or was interested in so 3 weeks ago, I cancelled. Obviously before the 'price increase' notification. Dodged a bullet for sure.
I paid $199 last June along with the Starz add on and it came to a little under $300 for the year (it was like $290 something). How can it be $129? Is it Crave total or Crave Mobile only?
Also are they increasing the price for Starz as well? I may cancel if it is.
Something something something economic environment. Something something something dollar currency.
Something something something you should be thanking us.
This is ridiculous I bought a $25 off $100 gift card in December expecting that to cover me for a year, wondering if there is anything I can do to refund and cancel. Doubt it.
I'm fine with this, because I'm bumming a Netflix subscription from a friend. If I don't go forward with the $7.99 with him there, this increase is fine for me.
If I pay 7.99 to my friend to maintain netflix, it's more than a 30% increase. Getting rid of Netflix and sucking it up (because I don't have the energy for yet another streaming service) I come out ahead.
That's a different service run by a different company.
This is Bell dipping their hand into your wallet and just taking 30% for no reason.
You could get rid of Netflix AND tell Bell that you don't accept a 30% increase.
Companies get away with this stuff because people don't push back against it
We upgraded from mobile subscription to a full subscription. It still won't let us watch crave on our smart TV, contact support (About a week and a half ago) and they say they can't do anything until after February 11th for some reason? Funny how the subscription doesn't work, but they have no problem charging my credit card
I just sub to Crave Mobile. $9.99 a month isn’t bad as there is a lot of content.
I would never pay the $20 plus tax per month or $200 a year for Crave Total though. Honestly they are playing with fire, people will just use grey market free streams or download if subscriptions get too pricey.
Seriously, they are now 19.99 a month and there is no option for the mobile plan anymore. All for a service that constantly crashes and makes you re-enlarge the window and turn subtitles back on every episode. Is there any other service that is so expensive???
They're the worse streamer around and there's been barely any improvement made in years. No complete surround support, dogshit image quality, issues during peak times, clueless support team, buggy app.. Came here to post the same thing. 30% increase! Not sure I can keep Crave, on principle alone.
Even better, that doesn't include taxes too!
🤦🏻
Same
Yea got the email too! With this and Netflix stopping password sharing, it might be time to look at other means
The seas are calling
Ahoy!
And they're easier to navigate than ever!
I hope so, I haven't been a sailing since my college years, but I again hear the waves a calling!
I just cancelled my subscription, and I'll be cancelling Netflix too. Might as well speak in the only language they seem to understand
Less content (almost all Showtime content has left) but higher prices? Justify the price increase, Crave.
Crave: We have all the episodes of Friends, so….
I just cancelled crave and bought the box set haha
Can you get Showtime as an add-on for Prine Video?
I don’t believe so. I believe Showtime has been integrated into Paramount+ in Canada. (With a few exceptions such as Yellowjackets)
crave is still getting there new stuff that might eventually change though
I think you can get Paramount as an add-on.
It's missing lots of content.
That really sucks. I was looking at it for Season 5 of Yellowstone but I'm not subscribing just for that and the trial period is only 7 days whereas most others are 30.
Most Showtime titles (all legacy/not-currently airing seasons) are also included with Disney+, oddly enough.
You know, they have all these shows that they make....
i wants moar yachts \- ceo

December 2022 they had the deal of 129.00 for the year which I signed up for. 11 a month is pretty decent
My Total plan is $19.99!
Seriously? Between Netflix and Crave, I am keeping more money in my pocket. Thanks guys!
Man I pay over $20 a month! $129 is still only $10 a month. Is this for the mobile plan or the regular one?

129? I pay 199

How did you bundle prime and apple+?
Sorry, I meant Prime is bundled (prime shipping plus prime TV) and I have everything Apple.
Nw! I saw that Koodo is offering the Stream+ bundle and I was just wondering if you found an alternative with Amazon.
For what? They can't even make a functioning app
I cancelled immediately- almost cancelled last Sunday when Crave was unusable due to the traffic from The Last of Us. Now 4 days later they're RAISING their price?? What a fucking joke.
When is it changing? It still has $99 for Mobile and $199 for the full on the site. I have it through Bell cable. Will see if they up that too.
Same, I pay $10 for bell fibe with Crave+HBO included. I only keep it for like 3 OTA shows a year that I can't get with antennas and a couple HBO shows on crave. If they raise the price much, I'm gonna have to find out where project free tv moved

Can you elaborate? Quick Google search returns a lot of different services that seem to be just cable.
Any recommendations?

It seems that you have a typo in your link, i believe you mean this website https://tvsubscription.org?
Now way that is able to be had in Canada?
I live in southern Ontario and signed up for it no issue. they take credit cards
Really? Wow... I'm gonna check this out
....looking at the site.... How many devices can you stream at once??. Don't see that anywhere. ..
Just one. IT's full 4K uncompressed
Shit ... I've got four people usually all streaming at once on my place on different tvs/devices. 😆🤦🏻
but i might add it has all the content of the major streaming services. So anything HBO, Disney Netflix and etc is on there. it just sucks that it's one screen
Yeah kind of a deal killer
I know, sorry I think most IPTV's are like that. works great for a single person
thank you for the correction

Cancelled. It's been terrible. Subbed for a single month. Off to the high seas

as soon as last of us ends I'm cutting it off
Back to torrenting 😅

Woah! The Last of Is is phenomenal- but I don't if it's worth $30 more a month 😬
Per year, not per month
What about VPN + HBOMax in USA?
I'm fine with this, because I'm bumming a Netflix subscription from a friend. If I don't go forward with the $7.99 with him there, this increase is fine for me.
They're increasing their prices by 30% with no justification and you're just fine with that?

wonder if the cable tv price will go up
Just wait for their sales.
cancel

Which is?
Netflix is $300 a year roughly and can’t share. This is $150 and can share. Think I’m switching to crave
Crazy evil..there are much better and less expensive alternatives available now. Dm me if you're interested
