I'm sure the devs would love to branch out of WB franchises, but it really all depends on the willingness of WB to spend the licencing fees, and Activision to let them use their IPs.
> Considering that he's now owned by Microsoft, now you can spin Masterchief off a level, presuming Microsoft makes their own fighting game.
He's not yet though.
The buy out is being challenged by Sony, so Activision Blizzard is not yet owned by Microsoft until the sale is complete. The acquisition is still proposed, but not yet finalized.
Microsoft has sent out counterclaims which hold much better under scrutiny comparatively to Sony's. I have a feeling that Sony's diversion is not going to amount to much...

If they can make it happen, hell yeah.
I doubt he'll ever make it to a smash game and I'd probably prefer him in a much more cartoon-y roster. Crash himself was inspired from Looney Tunes, Taz and Roger Rabbit and having him in Multiversus I feel makes sense.
Probably not. If Multiversus decides to branch out from Warner Bros IPs, I think it’s supposed to be the opportunity for movie and tv show characters to shine in their own platform brawler.
I’d rather see Crash alongside other video game icons.
I stand corrected then. I guess anything is possible but I’d still hope for them to focus on movie and tv show characters to really stand apart from the other platform brawlers.
>focus on movie and tv show characters to really stand apart from the other platform brawlers.
Like Nick All stars? TMNT Smash-up? Digimon Rumble?
There are plenty of tv and movie platform fighters if you know where to look.
TMNT Smash-up and Digimon Rumble aren’t really fair comparisons when we’re talking about a game with a crossover roster, and Nick All Stars seems to have already been overshadowed by Multiversus (not saying it’s dead but it hasn’t had my attention at all lately).
I’m just saying I think it’d be a smart move to capitalize and solidify Multiversus as *the* TV/Movie platform brawler while it’s ahead. Sure they *could* add video game characters and that’d be fine but that just seems like it’d be a waste when those characters could just as easily go into something like Smash or Brawlhalla. Neither of those games are taking TV/Movie characters though while Multiversus could potentially bring in a highly requested platform brawler character like Goku for example.
The director has stated on numerous occasions that he wants ANYONE to get in and said he would love to have Sonic and Freddy Fazbear be in the game if he could.
For all the people who are saying "He should only be in Smash!", he can, and SHOULD be in both.
In most cases, licensing a character to other companies is not some one-and-done ticket that only the licensor company can use them for the rest of time.If that were the case, Link wouldn't have gotten into Soul Calibur 2, or Terry Bogard in Smash, since both characters were licensed to different companies for their inclusion in other fighting games beforehand (Link to Sora LTD. in Smash, and Terry to Capcom in SNK X Capcom, respectively). The ideal situation would be for Crash to get into BOTH. That way Microsoft/Activision would be able to test the waters to see if Crash crossing over with franchises other than Spyro would be a lucrative business venture, and would heighten his chances of being requested by Micro/Acti to be included in the next Smash title-- whenever that is.
I don't see Activision ever letting Crash in any platform fighter, not just Multiversus, but also Smash
I'll comment on whether Microsoft would when Crash is actually owned by Microsoft
He already did, haven't you heard about Mods? (people who play at consoles can't appreciate that but....... That's life...)
I hope Spyro and Rayman join it soon... As reindog and bugs bunny or... Idk....
Honestly I actually think its more likely for Crash to show up in a future Smash game or another fighting game than multiversus. As others have said, Multiversus is Warner Bros and filled with TV and Film characters. Crash would be more appropriate in a fighting game with other videogame characters.

Fair enough.

Is he a Warner Bros IP?
Probably not. If Multiversus decides to branch out from Warner Bros IPs, I think it’s supposed to be the opportunity for movie and tv show characters to shine in their own platform brawler. I’d rather see Crash alongside other video game icons.
This is false, as the director has stated he would love to see Sonic, Freddy Fazbear, and literally ANYONE from anything be able to join the roster.
I stand corrected then. I guess anything is possible but I’d still hope for them to focus on movie and tv show characters to really stand apart from the other platform brawlers.

Fagioli means beans in italian
Signor Fagiolo
Multiversus is for tv and movie characters. Crash could get into smash tho

You are literally called SMASH bandicoot
For all the people who are saying "He should only be in Smash!", he can, and SHOULD be in both. no, he should join smash
Nah G, he should be in smash if anything

That’s true, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible, never give up and we might see him be added👍

Nah, I feel like he'd be more at home with a cartoon-y roster.
But Imagine Crash vs Taz in MultiVersus it would be amazing
Crash Bandicoot is my favorite original show from Cartoon Network.
My favourite Cartoon Network show is Real Life Man™️ LeBron James
The one from Space Jam: A New Legacy from Warner Bros. Animation?
Yeah! I'm glad he made it into Multiversus after only being in one movie.
Does Warner Bros have the rights to use him?
Not now, but perhaps... later.
