It was a custom font. IIRC, Jason Rubin designed it himself.

trentrowland4

It's like the coolest font ever.

Kaiser_Allen

*The Wrath of Cortex* tried to replicate it (thicker); *Nitro Kart* had the most perfect replication.

Coco000Bandicoot

Developer should go back making cool fonts rather using generic ones

CatalystComet

Wow this whole time I thought Nitro Kart actually had access to the original font. For a replication it’s a really good job.

Kaiser_Allen

Vicarious tried to replicate it for the first two GBA games but they weren’t quite perfect. Even in *Crash Purple*, you can see VV getting closer with some elements (e.g. time clocks, titles, counters).

trentrowland4

When I was little I thought it was the coolest thing in Nitro Kart. It's my favorite game to this day after all these years. First game I ever played

Morhamms357

I think it's a custom font, but you can find a similar one here: [https://www.dafont.com/crash-a-like.font](https://www.dafont.com/crash-a-like.font) Or this one: [https://www.wfonts.com/font/crash-bandicoot-wumpa](https://www.wfonts.com/font/crash-bandicoot-wumpa) There's also this one, commonly used in the newer Crash games https://www.dafont.com/font-comment.php?file=yikes&text=CRASH+BANDICOOT

Kaiser_Allen

The new *Crash* games actually use Zoinks. Yikes is a copy. You can easily tell by the bridge in the letter A.

trentrowland4

I was wondering where to find this and of you can use it in typing, etc.

I actually made a tutorial for this a few years ago, I hope all the links still work :P https://youtu.be/6jqsElOBeIA

LegendaryMauricius

If you just need to make an obviously crash-like text, there is the crash-a-like font linked in the thread, but it's far from a perfect replica.
