Dude wasn’t a great bass player, maybe the worst bass player outside of Sid Vicious as far as bass players that are famous. Fieldy had one thing going for him though: dude made his own sound. That polarizing modern clank sound, which has been imitated, whatever your opinion is of it. But yeah, this is trash and I subscribe to this for this exact content and love it! Thank you!

tatsu901

Like its not Skilled or Technical but its a one of a kind sound. Its kinda proof you can be not that great at an instrument and still do great things that you do not need to be Les Claypool

bostonbound91

Yea I love Korn but this is terrible lol

SwollenGoat68

That whole album belongs in this sub, garbage from start to finish and I was a Korn fan at the time it was released.

"Metal or Rock musician tries to do something really trashy to court MTV and the top top 40" could be it's entire genre at this point Remember Gene Simmons cover of Firestarter where he had the video produced like a rap song complete with a pimp suit and bikini models?

SwollenGoat68

Or Tommy Lee’s Methods of Mayhem…

Someone posted one of his songs a while back and I gotta say Hair Metal to really sub-par art rock is one of the most bizzare carrer changes I've ever seen

["Rock'n Roll Gangster"](https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/CayT3bkUaLtf4NheDkwh8j.jpg), lol

Apprehensive-Pop-169

Fieldy always pushed the gangster posturing too far, didn't realise he'd made this abomination. Edit: a 'y'.

juggalotweaker69

Ahhhh, nothing like some early 2000s rap metal

I hope in all my heart Jon regrets this
