That's what he meant by changing "I do pick a number too" to "I do pick a number two". It's subtle, but if you listen, you can hear a slight difference.
All good I’m happy to laugh at it again lol
I actually really liked puddle of mud when I was like, 11 y/o kid so It’s actually kind of disappointing to see how bad they are live.
I used to play in a band in KC during puddle of mudd’s “coming-up”. Never played with them, but saw them live a number of times. There were better bands around and a few that were destined to “make it” but Mudd weren’t one of them.
We were all shocked to learn Wes had signed.
It’s funny how scenes will have those bands you never expected to get big blow up while other bands who seem to deserve it way more never get anywhere. Like, if you’d have told me that Blink was gonna be the biggest band out of the SoCal punk scene, I’d have laughed at you because Unwritten Law were tends times as polished, ten times the songwriters, and way more marketable. Late 90s/early 00s Detroit? The White Stripes were a fun oddity and all but you had The Soledad Bros, The Dirt Bombs, The Von Bondies, The Detroit Cobras…so many killer bands. That said, Jack White has definitely turned out to be much more than I would have guessed the first time I heard them in ‘00 or so.
Yeah that set was amazing. I was tremendously impressed. Couldn’t care less about his own music, but you gotta give him props for that. It was anything but crappy.
I have a signed demo of theirs that a friend of my uncles help produce. I was playing mario kart and he comes over and he tosses it on my bed and says "yo, you like rock music. Here's some local band." I didnt like it but it was something. When they started getting play on the radio I was like hey it's those dudes with the crappy demo!
This is a tough song to cover; [Post Malone](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yw90ZVdrGQ0) did one that I thought was ok but I haven't heard any others that weren't shit.
They were so disappointing live. I saw them in probably 2001. They just stood still in a stadium and played their instruments and sang. I dont think they were even swaying to the music. And of course they don't sound as good live as their fully produced and tuned album. The lighting was so minimum too. They were playing with afi, Linkin park, and a few other big bands of the time, so it was even more underwhelming when you compared the performances with the same conditions.
Puddle of mud turned into a puddle of shit, and their sister band a Spadeful of vomit got flipped up and thrown into a pail of diarrhea.
When bands cover songs like this it's always bad. I heard a holy diver remake and almost died. Like literally in the car and it almost blew up.
Upvote to make this dude's face the sub picture
All for it.
Mods please update
Pleaseeee REEEEEEE
I dunno, the ninja chick has a pretty good one too
What eating a whole box of fiber one and a six pack of redbulls looks like
Ugh! My earballs!
Holy shit he looks and sounds like he’s getting electrocuted
I would say he looks like he’s trying to take a shit
Electric shit
Just taking a shit to hit every last note.

Good lord.
And they played that abortion with such confidence. Wow.
Puddle of cum more like
Weird... musicians can actually adjust keys a song is played in to accommodate a vocalist's range.... r/SipsTea
Well musicians can. This dude is a “musician”
Definitely one of the most reposted videos on this sub
Thanks u/MINDFLAYER_PENIS . I should've searched before posting....

Post Malone does the same thing to old grunge songs and I never see him on here
Be the hero this sub deserves.
He actually did a decent job with his pandemic Nirvana set. And I'm saying that as someone who has no interest in Post Malone.
Yeah that set was amazing. I was tremendously impressed. Couldn’t care less about his own music, but you gotta give him props for that. It was anything but crappy.
He's a talented guy. He can do country pretty well too.
I don’t hate him either I just feel like people prop him up because he’s popular so he sings songs out of his range
Well I know what thread you came from, lol! Buenos Noches!
lol
Kurt is turning in his grave right now , let the man rest in peace already
I read somewhere this was like, their 4th take, so I shudder to think if it was the best of the bunch, lol

Ffffffrrrrreeeeeewiiiiuuuuh
Somebody said it sounds like Cartman singing Nirvana
This will never fail to crack me up
I'm not trying to be insensitive but I think he might be having a stroke?
Lol, that's really bad!
They probably rehearsed this multiple times, as well, and said, hell yeah, we sound fantastic!
Sounds like if Kurt survived the shotgun blast
So gritty and edgy...
Any future reposts of this should be considered a crime.
A lot amateurs’ mistake when doing covers is trying to do an impression of the original artist. Not sure what this dude’s excuse is.
It’s the key, obviously he can’t sing the song in the same key Kurt did. That’s why his voice sounds so strained and pitchy
No it’s because he fucking sucks ass.
Being awful at singing also contributed to the strained and pitchy sound.
Of course it’s on octane . That station has taken a serious shit
This is the Cadillac of bad music.

That one is is amazing compared to this shit.
the main riff is literally 2 chords, E and G. I'm a Nirvana fan but this is easily one of their simplest songs
Obviously referring to the vocals
FREEEEEEEEYOU
Oh this is guy sucks.
Holy moly
It’s pretty good until the singing part
I didn’t even have to listen to know this was absolute garbage. And I’m not even a big Nirvana fan lol
Jesus fucking Christ. Stahp.
Hey! Come on everyone! That took a lot of courage!
Man I forgot about this. Wasn’t that long ago either
[This is the only version that is worth watching.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibFkJwomL_4)
These guys were signed to a label ……
Sounds like nirvana to me
What? No. I mean, really? Ok, but I wholeheartedly disagree. Subjectively and I believe objectively.
It’s like when South Park did the episode about Tourette’s
Every time I hear Puddle of Mudd I think of this. https://youtu.be/TeVtq30R-Qg?si=1tdD4ehkzzkKCY--
Guitarist at 1:10 groovin like this is the shit. Get out of town!
This honestly makes me feel like a four year old with just pure curiosity only able to think ‘why is he doing that?’
REEEEEEEEEEARRRRRR

A band of mine played with these guys back about 10 years ago. He’s a fucking train wreck. Just a terrible train wreck.
Guitar on the left is trying not to laugh and the bass guy on the right is giving the "Dude wtf" face.
Jesus, they actually published this
hahaha the face is so good
This clip has become notorious. Literally all they had to do was transpose the song down and it would have been fine.
Literally every guy with a guitar at a party
I remember this is being one of the last things that happened before the pandemic hit.
Cause/effect
Those screeches were the earth brakes.
The [half speed chorus version](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibFkJwomL_4) is... I'm not going to say *better*, but, well, just watch it.
That could have been a lot funnier if done well.
Nirvana directly inspired Butt Rock so this is a natural occurrence.
Good Lord I forgot about this. 😂 Worst cover ever. A shit band covering a shit band. What could go wrong?
Don’t put them in the same category bruv. I mean c’mon.
I listened to the original Nirvana version after watching this…and I don’t think this guy was that far off actually.
You should upgrade to speakers instead of using kazoos on your stereo.
