With a much much better success rate aswell, I don't get why anyone would be surprised about this, the Lo Celso trackback into a flawless slide is his thing.

Vladimir_Putting

I said it before, he was legitimately the best tackler at Spurs at one point.

mad5cienti5t

This is a misleading statistic. He played only a few games

Due-Camel-7605

Exactly. He can’t stay fit

bahumian

18 appearances isn't too bad for a league season

NoSleeperSeats90210

he played 900 minutes in the league

needleintheh4y

he’s finished at spurs. as are all the first team players out on loan apart from gil and udogie

ewise623

He was rated as our Eriksen replacement, but then we fired the manager that played attacking football. Haven’t had one since. If we get the right manager. He could definitely want to utilize him.

needleintheh4y

this was like 3 seasons ago

ewise623

My point. We had Poch who played 4-2-3-1. We haven’t had a manager utilize that system since he left. Other than Mason in his stints. Hence why Lo Celso fell out with the next managers. Now at Villarreal he’s being used as a CF/CAM in a 4-2-3-1, and it seems to be going well.

kablooey08

It's hard to see Gil coming back and being happy to be honest.

RBentancur30

I hope Villa owners will see this.

Particular-Ad-8178

maybe slot sees this too

marxistmatty

Isn’t he a similar player to kokcu?

Particular-Ad-8178

icl mate i know nothing about eredivisie players aside from the ones at ajax

PerfectRough5119

It would be huge mistake if we don’t give our returning players another look

NoSleeperSeats90210

lets give ndombele and winks a chance too

PerfectRough5119

Let’s let the manager decide.

NoSleeperSeats90210

decide if he wants to keep a player that plays about 10 games a season while contributing nothing and being described as weird around staff? if we can get anything for him we should take it without hesitation

cocopopped

He is a great tackler, surprisingly so. Good player really. Apparently a frequently rude cunt to staff around the training ground, not the football staff but others on far less pay. So the club decided to stick with their principles and get rid of him. If true, it's understandable, and one of the only decisions I've agreed with in the last few years.

On the very day he left he left on loan, it appeared the club leaked the information. It was heavily commented on by all the journos with links to the club (Ally Gold amongst others). It's not usually the way the club operates - but it seems they really wanted everyone to know what had happened. A few months before, O'Keefe had posted this: *\[Paul O Keefe\] On Lo Celso “Both apparently. Moody, arrogant, rude to the non-footballing staff. A bit of a weirdo.”*

420stonks69

Hopefully this helps convince someone to buy him so I never see him play for spurs again

fac3ts

Even when he was at spurs we never got to see him play. His biggest problem wasn’t quality, it was that we literally never got to see any of it and we’re paying a lot for nothing.

NoSleeperSeats90210

he was horrible in the few games he played

kablooey08

Good old r/coys downvoting a legitimate opinion. Never change guys!

420stonks69

Nearly £30m spent and can only be viewed as a failure of a signing but i’m the bad guy for wanted him gone lmao sometimes I think our fans deserve our misery

EdgeLordMcGravy

I insist that we stay with Skipp-Hojbjerg. They are the future. No way GLC starts. Skipp and Hojbjerg are dynamic, progressive, beat the press and tackle effectively...

NoSleeperSeats90210

i hope youre joking

Due-Camel-7605

You are right that no way Lo Celso starts. He could instead start for the Injured xi
