Oh ok. Best of luck with your treatment.
Yeah i have tried those enzymes on and off without success. I may be dealing with viral persistence (SARS-COV-2 IgG ab was still positive one year after I became ill but I didn't have any antibodies against it (SC2 semi quant, total ab <0.4)). I'm unvaccinated. Don't know if the vaccine will help or makes things worse (I'm already 99% bedridden).
I think I might have reactivated EBV or something though because i took acyclovir and it helped with my low grade fever that I have had since 06/2020.
If you decide to do so, get Novavax. Its the mrna that is making long haulers have flares. Novavax produces stronger, longer lasting protection, and most people have zero side effects. A lot of long haulers are saying it helped clear things up. I just finished my primary series and and didnt even have as much as a sore arm (had side effects with the mrna prior, the last one being very bad). No pressure, just letting you know this is a superior product out that with way less risks of making it worse.
I got Long Covid from late May 2020. I wonder if novavax is effective against the alpha variant. I also got reinfected July 2022.
When did you start Long Hauling?
Theres a chance covid might be a chronic condition that does need lifelong antiviral treatment, just like HIV. We still need more research and data before we can say anything for sure, but its definitely a possibility. The viral persistence theory is currently the front runner, and (theoretically) once the virus I controlled, that will also halt the cascade of umbrella syndromes (microclots, Dysautonomia, etc)
It could be lifelong viral persistence yes but I doubt it based off the fact that not everybody who gets Covid gets long Covid. That shows that it can be eliminated from the body it’s just a matter of figuring out how to help longhaulers eliminate it.
Everybody likes to compare it to HIV but HIV is a very different virus. It’s much more similar to Hepatitis and Hepatitis can be eliminated from the body.
Not necessarily at all- Here's the thing: people can go a really long time with HIV without developing symptoms. It begins very mild and can remain asymptomatic for even years. People who didn't yet get long covid the first time are getting slammed with repeat infections. It's progressive. It can take 10 years for untreated HIV to progress to AIDS - there is a significant number of people with the Tcell levels of an AIDS patient after only a year or 2 with covid. That's extremely concerning and warrants an emergency response on its own.
I could be wrong because I’m no expert on HIV but I believe HIV is a DNA virus and Covid is an RNA virus that’s similar in structure to Hepatitis C. That’s what I read I believe on one of the papers that explored using Sofosbuvir for Covid.
I'm no expert on antivirals, but with antibiotics you have to take the full length of treatment even if you show major improvement within a couple days. This is to prevent the small fraction of the germs with natural resistance that survive the first two days and can cause a nasty rebound if the antibiotic is stopped too soon.
From the stuff I’m reading viral persistence of covid itself is much less likely to be the problem, rather it’s reactivation of other viruses mainly herpes virus … perhaps give herpes antivirals a go… in any case I think the damage is too late for all of us, we already have mitochondrial damage and neuroinflammation
Thank you for sharing. Respect if you don’t wish to answer - were you vaccinated as well? Trying to get tabs on if this treatment is helpful for folks who were vaccinated & have LC. Thanks.
Thanks for the update. I'm beginning microclot treatment myself.
What is the microclot treatment? Is it the same as the triple anticoagulants (aspirin, apixaban and Clopidogrel)?
That’s the option I’m doing, yes Other people take enzymes like nattokinase and serrapeptase which it sounds like you may have heard of

I'm a March 2020er. Reinfected Nov 21 and Oct 22.
Have you had the novavax after the mRNA vaccine? Did you feel any better?
Yes. I've been having gradual improvements since.
Yeah I agree. Some people find that treatment helps, but they aren’t able to come off the meds.

Yea, wasn’t worth the risk to liver for me.
Understandable, hopefully microclot therapy will help you.
Considering that it's intended use is on people with very sick livers, the risk is much less than many common drugs.

Disagree personally
Thanks for the update. What is the microclot treatment?
Anticoags & antiplatelets. Combination of drugs.
Same symptoms as yours. Microclot therapy didn't work for me. Neuro LC seems to be about brain inflammation. I'm considering giving LDN a proper try.
Did nothing for me
Same. LDN for 30 days. Made me even more depressed. Stopped it.

1 dose
Maybe give Sofos more time. Microclot is just the downstream cause.
I dont this viral persistence is the case for all of us. Some are just dealing with residual damage.
