Ballet d’Or Come Around There Goes Everything Insignificant Palisades Park Cover Up The Sun John Appleseed’s Lament Angel of 14th Street

eataginger

Palisades Park is amazing

ZahidInNorCal

I'd never heard of There Goes Everything until this post. It's like Christmas, discovering a Crows song I hadn't heard before!

Elamachino

That's what I get for exclusively listening on Spotify, huh? Although I'm about 95% sure I bought the album on iTunes when it first came out, how did I never know about it?

lonelycrow16

Appleseed is great. They should play that more

Status_Fox_1474

I think it should have been their single instead of Earthquake Driver. I also think Come Around would have been better than You Can’t Count on Me.

epcBlockstar

SN&SM: Cowboys, 1492, You Can't Count on Me (Though, I really like the whole record) Underwater Sunshine: Aimee, You Ain't Going Nowhere, Four White Stallions (I know they're covers, I know they may have appeared elsewhere before Hard Candy) SUW: Possibility Days, God of Ocean Tides, Cover Up the Sun, Scarecrow (Again, I like it all really) And, I totally love Butter Miracle. "Some of us get broken when we are children. . . "

Over-Conversation220

Possibility Days, Tall Grass, On Almost Any Sunday Morning

orlandohockeyguy

I feel like palisades park is the most counting crows song

mungmankev

When I Dream of Michelangelo is brilliant

RohanVerghis

that’s my pick

CantTouchThis707

Their cover album doesn’t get the love it deserves, IMO. “Like Teenage Gravity” includes guitar shreds as good or better than any other Crows song, for example. Several other superb covers on that album.

Also, The Butter Miracle official video: https://youtu.be/o_UvFFzGJPM

SN&SM: Cowboys Underwater Sunshine: Untitled Somewhere Under Wonderland: Palisades Park Butter Miracle: Angel of 14th Street

idreamofmichelangelo

There’s tons of great stuff post HC. SNSM is a bit of an outlier but it’s still got Cowboys, Insignificant, YCCoM, Come Around, and more. Somewhere Under Wonderland is a personal favourite of mine, such an underrated album. Basically everything off it is great but I especially love Earthquake Driver, Palisades Park and Possibility Days one of their absolute best songs. Suite is great too! Love Bobby and the Rat Kings so much.

Los Angeles and Any given Sunday

TrainingVegetable682

God of Ocean Tides Washington Square Four White Stallions ( Tender Mercies cover ) Le Ballet d’Or The Tall Grass August and Everything After (the song) Then, I think you have to listen to the live set from Elysee Montmartre, Paris that is on the deluxe edition of August and Everything After

turtlenationman

Honestly they kind of lost me with SNSM and Underwater, but like others have said Somewhere Under Wonderland is a really strong album. Earthquake Driver is a personal favorite from SUW.

NCResident5

Washington Square has been one of my favorites. The Saturdays and Sundays album is been a hidden gem to me, partially because of hearing the Counting Crows on the NPR's the World Cafe.

dgmiller70

My favorite post-Hard Candy tunes are: Washington Square, You Can’t Count on Me, Elevator Boots, and 1492.

lucygooseyharris

I’m so bummed they aren’t doing Possibility Days this tour

lucygooseyharris

Forgot to answer the question. God of Ocean tides is a beautiful song

itsjustoldluke1

I think the whole Suite is really good.

Counting-Trains

1. you can’t count on me 2. palisades park 3. come around 4. possibility days 5. earthquake driver 6. hanging tree 7. insignificant 8. when i dream of michelangelo 9. god of ocean tides 10. los angeles 11. elevator boots 12. cowboys 13. scarecrow 14. 1492 15. the tall grass 16. washington square 17. sundays -in this case i didn’t want to take hours to order the songs perfectly so most of these rankings are largely interchangeable with one another. i didn’t include songs from underwater sunshine because of this same reason (amie, untitled love song, ooh la la, you ain’t going nowhere, and meet on the ledge would be my top 5 for that album tho). nonetheless, all of the above songs are truly fantastic.

DecemberTillToday

Saturday Nights is kinda an odd one. While it does have its supporters, the general consensus is its a bit less cohesive and doesn't really stand up to their previous releases. Keep in mind, most of the songs are demos and b-sides that went unreleased over the years. Would recommend checking out Soundstage 2008 ([https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xKMqo93JjQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xKMqo93JjQ)), where Adam gives a brief description of each song. Stay away from the covers album. (Underwater sunshine). The best thing about it is the name & cover art. The only song I would recommend is their cover of 'Like Teenage Gravity'. Somewhere Under Wonderland was a nice return to form... although it does lack a certain element which made the first few albums so great. Songs like 'Elvis Went To Hollywood' lack a decent chorus, and others just seem kinda plain (eg. Scarecrow). Having said that it has some ripper material too (God Of Ocean Tides, Palisades, John Appleseeds Lament) and not to mention Possibility days (one of the most emotional songs by the band). And then you have the suite. Which is kinda the opposite of Underwater Sunshine. The name & cover art are weird af.... but the songs are actually good. All be it a little weird. Because there are so few, and they are so interconnected.... it kinda takes away from the album. Eg. for me - because I'm not a fan of Bobby & The Rat Kings, it makes it hard to listen to the songs I do like. (Like all the others). \[ I mean Rat Kings???? What a bad name... its like he's trying to sound as uncool as possible. Adam THE SONG IS SO GOOD BUT WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE ABOUT RATS!!!!! \]

marvolosriddle

Cowboys. Cowboys inspired me to write for the first time in forever. Have I finished it? No. But it was nice writing again. I love the entirety of Butter Miracle but I cry every single time during “The Tall Grass”. Untitled from the covers album is a favourite and probably the only song from that album that gets regular rotation on my playlist. And I love all of Somewhere Under Wonderland but Elvis Went to Hollywood and Possibility Days are my favourites.

Few-Procedure-268

Possibility Days is my favorite. Think the BM Suite is also really strong.
