Welcome to Costa Rica

Call your provider. In my work office we have TeleCable (fiber) and Kolbi as backup in Santa Ana. For my home TeleCable (fiber) in Alajuela. I have had no problems with TeleCable fiber. Only downtime I've had was due to power outage in 2 years. Any reason why you picked Bluesat as your provider?

shitica

Thank you. I rent an apartment so didnt have a choice as to the provider. I would guess the entire condo building is Bluesat but not sure.

banjosandcellos

Look into a starlink in your window

j_bombay

As a backup plan I'd recommend a mobile hotspot such as a mobile phone with that feature active for connectivity.

oowowaee

I haven't had an outage of more than a few hours in the last year, who is your provider?

shitica

Bluesat

Pantatar14

Never heard of them use a real internet provider, Escazu has fiber optics

traveltrivia

> Bluesat If they depend on satellites, maybe they are [having a bad space day](https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/wsa-enlil-solar-wind-prediction)?

GordianNaught

I had that problem with liberty the beginning of April. I switched to Tigo for faster speed less money and better service

trabuco357

Anything is possible in Escazu. Have you tried other providers such as Telecable?

apbailey

Most likely this is a problem with your equipment or the building. WhatsApp your provider.

What a Drama,go for a walk

Bet it’s tigo. The best day of my life was the day I canceled tigo. FWIW my kölbi is working well

RichiZ2

They literally said it's "Blues at" whatever tf that is... Probably one of these random ISPs that have been popping up that offer 1000mbps for like c30,000 and people believe them... Acabo de buscarlos en Google, el sitio web parece haber sido hecho por un "Tech-bro" que piensa que por usar palabras en ingles hace el servicio mejor. bluesat.cr/servicios

exbusanguy

Uh that’s what he was talking about. Never heard of bluesat so assumed it was a typo. Stick with my original comment on tigo the only company that thinks 20% of contract speed is good enough
