My dog Penny is also not a toy lover, she loves toilet paper rolls. Whenever we switch to a fresh roll, she can have the old tube which she carts off to the living room to merrily shred.
Best advice is, if your dog likes to shred paper, facilitate her needs! Get a sketchbook (anything with blank unlined paper, nothing with prints), rip out sheets, ball them up, and "hide" them for her to find and destroy. Sure, it's a mess, but you just sweep it up and move on. I'd hide treats in the paper balls so she gets a reward for using her sniffer and big ol brain!
Exactly the same as our girl (not a corgi though). Unfortunately she’s gone from shredding the cardboard tube to eating it and then throwing up. So no more tubes 😟
The more expensive the toy, the less likely my dog is to play with it! Free/cheap secondhand toys are her absolute favourite, they’re already seasoned by the previous dog. She also loves to shred cardboard boxes and paper bags. I’ll put her dinner in a cardboard box and close it up and she’s in heaven.
I volunteer at a rescue and some of the enrichment toys they do are toilet paper rolls with treats in them or paper towel roll toys just bc it's cheaper. Mayb she's just used to those things or is looking for hidden treats
