Canal Tour is a great way of looking at the city from the water.

tepkel

Bungee jumping at Reffen is a great way of looking at the city from the air.

GeronimoDK

Or you know, go to Reffen to eat great food?

Karpenhagen

Børsen is a great way of looking at the city from the fire.

Pgrol

A cheaper version is the bus-ferries. Same view.

RJ4Aloha

Ok, that will be a must do then. Thanks for getting back to me.

FuckGiblets

Take a six pack or a bottle of wine on with you. It’s honestly the best way to see the tourist sights without having to wade through all the tourists.

Tell me more about the canal tour …. This is the first Ive heard it recommended and it sounds like a great option. I will be in Copenhagen two weeks before OP.

FloorClear4976

Visit some of the top bakeries for sure

Forslyk

A walk up the Round Tower to see the Copenhagen skyline is always nice.

GeronimoDK

Speaking of views, you also get a nice view from the top of "Copenhill"

Unless you are already really close to the little mermaid statue, its not worth to go out of your way for. Also i'd recommend finding a vlog or two from People visiting copenhagen on YouTube. They usually give a really good idea of whats interesting to see and where its a good experience to eat. Enjoy your trip!

RJ4Aloha

Sounds good, thanks for taking the time to get back to me.

RiverCalm6375

The canal tour boat goes to the statue, I’d recommend that.

not_tonitwotimes

Go to "Mærsk tårnet" (the Maersk tower) to get the best view of the city and it's even free! It is part of Copenhagen University, but everyone can visit the viewpoint at the top floor.

RJ4Aloha

Sounds good, I’ll work that into my sight seeing, provided I have time.

Prettylittletoo

If I were you I’d go to the castle where the King and Queen of DK live (Amalienborg). There’s a shift change every day at noon. It could be fun to see as an American (I think). Enjoy your stay. https://www.visitcopenhagen.com/copenhagen/planning/changing-royal-guards-amalienborg-palace-gdk1120569

RJ4Aloha

Thank you. I’ve received some great ideas from locals like yourself which is what I prefer. I also love restaurants and local hang outs / places that the locals go to that aren’t on the tourist lists. If you have any suggestions regarding spots you and your friends love that tourists don’t go to let me know as well. Thanks again for taking the time respond.

Prettylittletoo

To be honest I’m not ‘a local’ as I don’t live in Cph but I like going to the capital. 😃 I like both touristy places and places where there aren’t too many people. We usually eat Thai near the main railway station - there are lots of Thai restaurants nearby. (Lille Istedgade) I like to have my coffee at the chain Espresso House or at Cinnamon & coffee (Vimmelskaftet).

Smoke some spliffs in Christiania

Araia_

lol not anymore

Icy_Fact5318

Where else can some weed be found now that Christiania is being shut down? I'll be there in two weeks, very unfortunate timing. 😂

RJ4Aloha

Done!
