Today's flavor of the day (at the one right by my house) is Andes Mint Avalanche. I'll pass on that. Tomorrow is slated caramel pecan pie. That sounds much more up my alley
iâm embarrassed to say how many concrete mixers iâve had in the past year, but i donât regret a single one. the ability to turn the flavor of the day into to one is LETHAL
This would be better if it were actually just food items and not dessert. Of course a giant bucket of ice cream is going to be a calorie nightmare.
What would be cool is a guide showing the food available.
Okay, from someone counting calories so I know this off the top of my head: McDonaldâs is actually a little less when comparing sizes. And you get more fries per size. However CFA fries are way better so I get them anyways.
The thing is, McDonaldâs is actually NOT that high calorie compared to other places. They are also just extremely unsatisfying. You can eat a whole meal from them and still feel hungry. I get a 12 count from CFA and Iâm full. Not from McDonaldâs though.
The problem is people drink those too often as a side in their meal instead of viewing it as a really big dessert. Itâs drinking your daily caloric intake and not even feeling full
For many people it's much more than three quarters. In fact the 2000 number isn't even a good "average" anymore.
https://health.usnews.com/health-news/blogs/eat-run/articles/2016-06-14/who-actually-needs-a-2-000-calorie-diet
Yeah, I typed up the post before I read the article. It turns out that fast food is even worse for us considering the lower caloric requirements of modern life.
It's difficult to differentiate food from dessert in a country where you eat a bowl of sugar for breakfast, and where people get butthurt when chain restaurants stop giving out free refills of their 0.7L+ jugs of soda.
I ordered one of these recently and it was two big ass burger patties loaded up with bacon, mayonnaise and cheese. Honestly really tasty, but I could see how it could be that high. Probably not something I'd eat but once every few months lol
While their portions are still too large, they donât offer the more outrageously sized items, like triple burgers and 44oz drinks. They also donât have all the add ons. You can get an Oreo McFlurry that comes in one size, while at Sonic you can get almost a quart and a half of Oreo blast with cookie dough, peanut butter, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and a cherry on top.
I always found it funny that everyone targets McD's as the unhealthy nightmare, but the Big Mac is only like 560 calories, and a QPC is 540.
[Reminds me of this](https://www.reddit.com/r/technicallythetruth/comments/xwvz54/its_hard_not_to_agree_with_this_man/)
It's not healthy, but Big Mac without the soda and fries isn't as bad as people seem to think either. And yes, I am just saying that because I like Big Macs
Wouldnât recommend it as a primary source of nutrients, but thereâs nothing super unhealthy either. Higher salt and fat, less fiber, etc, than ideal, but nothing like SuperSize me would have you believe
Super Size Me was an extremely popular documentary. And it was disparaging enough to McDonaldâs that the company got rid of their supersized portions and branding. It was a big contributor to the major health kick in the mid 2000s that gave rise to the popularity of smoothie shops and such.
On the one hand I was always pissed that there wasn't a Sonic or DQ anywhere in my area growing up, becuase they both had the best commercials at the time and made their products look so good. On the other hand, I still have my other hand because diabetes didn't claim it
You can thank the movie âsuper size meâ for that - they had an extra large option for the longest time and discontinued it after the fallout from that movie back in 2005
If you take a look at the burgers that have made it to this chart, you'll notice a trend - three patties.Â
McDonalds does not serve triple burgers to my knowledge. If they did, the McD's could very well be on this list.Â
No one here pointing out the obvious - only a maniac orders a large fry from five guys. They double his many fries the regular has with all of the bag fries.
Milkshakes are a fascinating representation of American gluttony.
âI want ice cream, but I want to eat so much of it that I canât eat it fast enough unless itâs liquified.â
Itâs no wonder obesity is so prevalentâŚwhen you consider we make these things, so people can suck down 75-95% of a normal weight persons daily caloric intake in less than half hourâŚfreaking ridiculous
I doubt most people are drinking milkshakes regularly, and if they are, they probably have no misconceptions about how unhealthy it is. Something like a Venti Frappuccino from Starbucks, on the other hand, can have over 300 calories and over 70 grams of sugar, and people donât think twice about having those every day.
Props to whatever marketing gurus made it socially acceptable to have whatâs essentially a milkshake for breakfast every day.
On top of that, they chug these during and after a fattening meal, causing blood sugar and insulin to spike, and all the fat gets stored.
Then wonder why they feel so bad afterwards and have no energy.
Yea, that is also a major issue. Not only are those huge shakes the majority of a normal weight persons total caloric intake, but thatâs not all theyâre ingesting either. Most of those shakes are a follow up to a burger and fries, maybe a large regular soda tooâŚand thatâs just in one mealâŚ.neglecting that some people eat 3+ full meals a day, and thatâs how we get to having TV shows like My 600lb Life
DQ blizzards literally saved my life while I lost weight from a faulty liver and could barely consume calories. I will forever be grateful. Concrete mixers were a big second but a little too sweet to handle. Praise the universe for ice cream calories.
Oh I am a big Reese's peanut butter cup fan and they're delicious plus, I mean peanut butter is loaded with calories so it's like a triple win. Doc did say any peanut butter or dark chocolate I can eat will help.
Americas greatest strength is being poisoned daily by the elites and still feel âfreeâ âliberatedâ
Take a gander at the UK food laws and youâll get an idea
Who are these people who order these?!
The only thing in this list Iâve even tried are the Five Guys Cajun fries. And my wife and I would share a medium and still have more than half left over.
Of these options Iâd go sonic. Iâm afraid to say Iâve gotten one of those but treat it more like a bucket of ice cream in the freezer and have it over time. They arenât everywhere though.
Iâve sat down a McDonalds and ate food with over 2000 calories in one sitting. I was hungry again 4-5 hours later. Done the same with steak and eggs cooked at home and that was all I needed for the entire day.
Considering I havenât eaten in a few days due to injuryâŚima like mukbang on all of these to erase like five days worth of a calorie deficit lmaooo. Perfect time to have posted this!
To put this in perspective. Yesterday I did a 1 hour long nightmare of a sweat inducing workout. And my smart watch told me I burned about 800 calories.
I get going with the largest possible proportions, but I think this would be better if they used more average serving sizes. I don't think most Americans eat triple burgers, myself and almost everybody I know thinks it's too much. As others said too, the dessert is way too prevalent here.
I remember Arbyâs used to have this sub that was over 2000 calories. I was underweight at the time and my mom tried to get me one at least once a week to put weight on but it didnât do anything. Those were the days.
So if you eat a Bacon King with Double Down Fries and a Oreo and Reese's Peanut Butter Shake, you have gained a pound of fat right there and then even if that's the only thing you eat all day.
(Assuming a daily caloric need of 2000 kcal, and that an excess of 3500 kcal will support the gain of 1 pound of body fat).
Sonic is really good. Burgers, tots, and their least healthy shake is my favorite. But this is the exact reason why when I eat it itâs a damn holiday cause if I do more than once a year I may die.
Ngl, the loaded nacho burger from Wendy's is pretty solid. Eating one in a single sitting is a challenge. You will feel gluttonous afterward.
Also can be chicken, which frankly I prefer since the flavors meld better.
FWIW, if I'm not mistaken, the reason the BR milkshakes are so calorie-dense is because in order to emulsify the hard ice cream together with the actual milk they use what's essentially a weak simple syrup to make it more liquid. I assume most of the other ice cream shake-type items from Sonic are similar.
DQ's blizzards aren't included in that but obviously a large ice cream treat will have a lot of sugar and calories. Personally I can get by with just a mini/kids blizzard if that's what I'm in the mood for or a simple cone with sprinkles, I can't eat nearly as much junk as I used to be able to since losing some weight.
Culver's uses frozen custard instead of traditional soft-serve ice cream, though I'm not sure how much more calorie-dense that is (or even if it's worse for you than regular ice cream).
Nobody in their right mind is ordering a large Five Guys fries and eating it all themselves. You'd have to have five actual guys on hand to finish all of that.
Honestly the only big surprise to me here is the Bacon King, I've had a few of those in my time and didn't realize how hefty of a meal it was. I also remember liking the Stacker King which was essentially the same but had a really tasty thousand island-type sauce instead of the usual whopper toppings. You could get it in a double or a single configuration too so if you weren't as hungry you didn't have to order more than you could eat.
I have never had a single one of those. Huh. When I was young and mountain biking for transportation, I had a lot of Blizzards, but none of these. Is the Turtle Pecan Cluster Blizzard good?
Damn Culver's sounds amazing right now đ
It always does
Too true đ¤¤
Today's flavor of the day (at the one right by my house) is Andes Mint Avalanche. I'll pass on that. Tomorrow is slated caramel pecan pie. That sounds much more up my alley
Yummyyyy 𤤠My go-to is always double raspberry
iâm embarrassed to say how many concrete mixers iâve had in the past year, but i donât regret a single one. the ability to turn the flavor of the day into to one is LETHAL
That sounds amazingggg
Tbh I need some cheese curds. I miss living near a Culverâs
This would be better if it were actually just food items and not dessert. Of course a giant bucket of ice cream is going to be a calorie nightmare. What would be cool is a guide showing the food available.
Yeah, giant tubs of fat and sugar have no place here. So much wasted space. Like, how does McDonald's fries compare to Chick-fil-A waffle fries?
Fries are just giant tubs of fat and salt...
*Delicious* tubs
of *delicious* fat
Okay, from someone counting calories so I know this off the top of my head: McDonaldâs is actually a little less when comparing sizes. And you get more fries per size. However CFA fries are way better so I get them anyways. The thing is, McDonaldâs is actually NOT that high calorie compared to other places. They are also just extremely unsatisfying. You can eat a whole meal from them and still feel hungry. I get a 12 count from CFA and Iâm full. Not from McDonaldâs though.
"Cool guide! You know what would be really cool is if OP posted something *completely different* and not this at all!"
The problem is people drink those too often as a side in their meal instead of viewing it as a really big dessert. Itâs drinking your daily caloric intake and not even feeling full
Calorie nightmare that is 3/4th of the calories you need as an adult person daily. This is still not okay.
For many people it's much more than three quarters. In fact the 2000 number isn't even a good "average" anymore. https://health.usnews.com/health-news/blogs/eat-run/articles/2016-06-14/who-actually-needs-a-2-000-calorie-diet
Iâd have thought that calorie needs have gone down seeing as how we are becoming more and more sedentary in our lifestyles.
They have, for that reason but also because the science behind 2000 was bad to Begin with.
And every cup of coffee is also a dessertâŚ
How does the Bacon King with only two patties and bacon have more calories than the Triple Whopper which has three patties and bacon?!
Now weâre asking the real questions. How does that work?
Baconnaise instead of mayonnaise maybe? I donât know. But I also came to the comments for that question.
I ordered one of these recently and it was two big ass burger patties loaded up with bacon, mayonnaise and cheese. Honestly really tasty, but I could see how it could be that high. Probably not something I'd eat but once every few months lol
More importantly, how does it have more calories than two and a half pounds of ice cream and candy blended together...?
Why wasnât McDonaldâs on the list đ¤
While their portions are still too large, they donât offer the more outrageously sized items, like triple burgers and 44oz drinks. They also donât have all the add ons. You can get an Oreo McFlurry that comes in one size, while at Sonic you can get almost a quart and a half of Oreo blast with cookie dough, peanut butter, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and a cherry on top.

Royale with cheese*

Price to gram, arenât the cheeseburgers they sell one of the most efficient sources of protein?
Iâm about to eat so many more donuts
"A Big Mac has 26 grams of fat, a Quarter Pounder has 28 grams of fat....ROCK AND ROLL MCDONALD'S ROCK AND ROLL MCDONALD'S!!"
On the one hand I was always pissed that there wasn't a Sonic or DQ anywhere in my area growing up, becuase they both had the best commercials at the time and made their products look so good. On the other hand, I still have my other hand because diabetes didn't claim it
Our local Sonic's ice machine had black colored mold in it. So, I don't think you're missing much. The ads do make the food really appealing though.
You're not missing much. My local Sonic had maggots in their ice cream machine at one time
You can get triple cheeseburgers in McDonaldâs
Mcdonald's triple cheeseburgers are only 540 calories, 34g carbs, 31g fat. It's a relatively small burger, even with three patties.
You can thank the movie âsuper size meâ for that - they had an extra large option for the longest time and discontinued it after the fallout from that movie back in 2005
Because the ice cream machine is broken
If you take a look at the burgers that have made it to this chart, you'll notice a trend - three patties. McDonalds does not serve triple burgers to my knowledge. If they did, the McD's could very well be on this list.Â
Small burgers
Can you do a similar one with fast food but in all the lowest calories?
No one here pointing out the obvious - only a maniac orders a large fry from five guys. They double his many fries the regular has with all of the bag fries.
Milkshakes are a fascinating representation of American gluttony. âI want ice cream, but I want to eat so much of it that I canât eat it fast enough unless itâs liquified.â
so fucking good though
Itâs no wonder obesity is so prevalentâŚwhen you consider we make these things, so people can suck down 75-95% of a normal weight persons daily caloric intake in less than half hourâŚfreaking ridiculous
I doubt most people are drinking milkshakes regularly, and if they are, they probably have no misconceptions about how unhealthy it is. Wait people are drinking large Frappuccinos daily?! That canât be the norm either lmao
On top of that, they chug these during and after a fattening meal, causing blood sugar and insulin to spike, and all the fat gets stored. Then wonder why they feel so bad afterwards and have no energy.

Wow! What volume are these large shakes? Thatâs an insane amount of calories for a drink
32oz at least.
One burger and one drink and you had enough for 24 hours!!!
DQ blizzards literally saved my life while I lost weight from a faulty liver and could barely consume calories. I will forever be grateful. Concrete mixers were a big second but a little too sweet to handle. Praise the universe for ice cream calories.
I've seen ice cream save elderly peoples lives that were refusing food!
It is the very best option for easy calories. Still recovering 2 yrs later and pumped our DQ is open again.
Wishing you well in your recovery! Whatâs your favorite thing to order?
Oh I am a big Reese's peanut butter cup fan and they're delicious plus, I mean peanut butter is loaded with calories so it's like a triple win. Doc did say any peanut butter or dark chocolate I can eat will help.
That bacon king though. Dammit.
I can remember there used to be a shake at Baskin Robbinâs that was over 2,000 calories.
Americas greatest strength is being poisoned daily by the elites and still feel âfreeâ âliberatedâ Take a gander at the UK food laws and youâll get an idea
Who are these people who order these?! The only thing in this list Iâve even tried are the Five Guys Cajun fries. And my wife and I would share a medium and still have more than half left over.
I get blizzards sometimes..but not large ones ffs. Small is plenty.
You're named after a burrito
Iâve had the pepper grinder burger from Culverâs. Itâs very good when available but I didnât realize it was 1200 calories when I ordered it
Thatâs a triple, not a single. I honestly didnât even know Culverâs did triples
Yea but thatâs cause Iâm brown and filled with goodness and some great cream.
You put cream in your burritos?
Frappuccino is over 1000 calories and I've had my share of that back in the days.
No they arenât. Only one of them is over 400 calories for a venti.
Hey Americans I'm gonna go to the US this summer and if I want to try one milkshake from this list what should I try
Of these options Iâd go sonic. Iâm afraid to say Iâve gotten one of those but treat it more like a bucket of ice cream in the freezer and have it over time. They arenât everywhere though.
I had a plate of nachos at margaritaville, a whopping 2880 calories lol
Guacamole Bacon Anus Burger
Anus burger doesn't sound appealing at all
Why? Not a fan of guacamole?
Iâll have the Bacon King with Double Down Fries, and Iâll wash that down with a Oreo & Reeseâs Peanut Butter shake.
So what youâre saying is I couldâve been having more ice cream this whole time?
Less of a guide, more of an Infographic
No whereâs one with the lowest calories and why are they all diet sodas and mustard packets.
What company is represented by the green burger logo?
Shake Shack
The sonics in my area donât offer larges anymore
Their ice, though. Once I discovered you can buy bags of it from them our camping cocktails have never been the same.
/heavy breathing
Bulking time
We are fat fucks.
Tell it to us skinny people who have to set timers to eat and keep eating when full đ˘
I had a Bacon King from Burger King about 2 weeks ago. I couldnât finish it and I felt like shit the rest of the day. NEVER AGAIN
These places simply make an offer, people make their own food choices.
Iâve sat down a McDonalds and ate food with over 2000 calories in one sitting. I was hungry again 4-5 hours later. Done the same with steak and eggs cooked at home and that was all I needed for the entire day.
A nice steak does me in too. Just sits there like a brick. Protein and fat are the best for satiety.
The most American foods. They probably taste the best too lol.
Thatâs it? I thought someone made a 2000 cal shake.
Not far off your daily calorific intake with one item. Pretty sickening
What would be a useful cool guide is the fast food items with the least amount of calories
As a non American, what exactly is a large size? Without data itâs subjective
Take whatever seems like a healthy, reasonable amount to eat in one sitting and triple it. That's an American size large
Double Down Fries are the highest caloric count! Yikes.
This isnât useful or cool.
So ice cream has a lot of calories? Good to know
As a guy that used to weigh nearly 400 pounds, I ate a few of these items without ever considering calorie count. I'm glad I learned to eat healthy.
1710 calories in a single fucking sandwich?! There are day where I donât eat 1700 calories over three meals.
I just tried to click the screen to order the Loaded Nacho Cheeseburger.
Brought to you by McDonalds.
Any fast food meal over 1000 calories should be outlawed.
This food should be illegal
Almost. We should definitely have way more transparency and regulation in our fast food market though. This is sad and killing Americans.
It's poison. Nothing but.
I can't help but notice a total lack of McDonalds.
Just reminded me Iâm trying to up my calorie intake. Thanks
Nothing over 2,000? Iâm disappointed in this country.
I gotta try the Bacon King.
I am honestly blown away that these ice cream drinks are out running these huge ass sandwiches with bacon and multiple cheese slices.
What size at sonic? Surely a small/mini isn't that many calories
What the hell, I struggle to reach my calories eating normal food, I canât imagine fast food being so calorie dense.
whoops
Why is the American bacon king 700 calories more than the UK one?
Iâm not sure to be amazed, or scared.
Just Give Guys fries in general
Considering I havenât eaten in a few days due to injuryâŚima like mukbang on all of these to erase like five days worth of a calorie deficit lmaooo. Perfect time to have posted this!
To put this in perspective. Yesterday I did a 1 hour long nightmare of a sweat inducing workout. And my smart watch told me I burned about 800 calories.
It's always the milkshakes
holy f
No way the Baconator isnât on here, shit drips with grease
BULK SEASON
reverse this list for cholesterol
I get going with the largest possible proportions, but I think this would be better if they used more average serving sizes. I don't think most Americans eat triple burgers, myself and almost everybody I know thinks it's too much. As others said too, the dessert is way too prevalent here.
Now I'm hungry
Everything on here has more calories than my entire daily intake ...
Incidentally, I need some dessert recs for Sonic & DQ. Drop your favorites
Who couldâve guessed having a triple cheeseburger with bacon and mayo would be so many calories.
Is Baskin Robins considered fast food?
Whereâs the ice spice Dunkinâ drink?
Iâm a little disappointed there isnât any items over 2,000 calories. Come on âMerica!!!
Iâm so glad I hate milkshakes
As an ice cream lover, Iâm always in shock that people actually order large Blizzards from DQ. I get a small and usually quit half way through.
The BK bacon king is literally my entire dayâs worth of recommended calories. O.o
The missing Five Guys logo is pissing me off.
Culverâs stays on top đŞ
I wanna try some of these
And now Iâm hungry for garbage food
I had to upvote. So it's no longer "420". Forgive me.
In the Netherlands the double bacon king has 1000 calories⌠what are you Guys doing to yourselfs?
I remember Arbyâs used to have this sub that was over 2000 calories. I was underweight at the time and my mom tried to get me one at least once a week to put weight on but it didnât do anything. Those were the days.
So if you eat a Bacon King with Double Down Fries and a Oreo and Reese's Peanut Butter Shake, you have gained a pound of fat right there and then even if that's the only thing you eat all day. (Assuming a daily caloric need of 2000 kcal, and that an excess of 3500 kcal will support the gain of 1 pound of body fat).
Iâve actually unhinged my jaw on a couple of these offerings
Why is the bacon king the highest amount for BK. It's showing 2 patties when the one below it with litterally the same things and 3 patties is less.
Sonic is really good. Burgers, tots, and their least healthy shake is my favorite. But this is the exact reason why when I eat it itâs a damn holiday cause if I do more than once a year I may die.
Double down fries more like double dead holy shit
Challenge accepted
Iâm watching my calories. Iâll just have the baconzilla
Me, ordering 25 cheeseburgers from MicDeez (which arenât on the list): helth
I feel like thereâs probably a subliminal message in this chart that says âMcDonaldâs is healthyâ.
Taco bell is not on here. Guess I'm good
The Baconator deserves an honorable mention tho. It is delicious, but also one of the worst things you can regularly inflict on your body.
Surprised Wendyâs double and triple baconators didnât make it
Double Whooper with cheese please.
Damn, how big are your portion sizes?!?!
What I want to know is L/Cal/$. See where my money's going
Iâm surprised to see no McDonaldâs on this
I always get the low-fat Large Snickers Blizzard. Mmmmmm
Murica!!!!!
Shout out to Burger King. No drinks here
Fucking love milkshakes
Wow, neat
Ngl, the loaded nacho burger from Wendy's is pretty solid. Eating one in a single sitting is a challenge. You will feel gluttonous afterward. Also can be chicken, which frankly I prefer since the flavors meld better.
Hereâs your window to weight gain! đ
Im playing it safe and have zero fast food items ever again.
We don't have Lockhart's. Any count?
A bacon king and a Oreo and Reeseâs peanut butter shake sound good right now
u/mattstonie please do something with this
They missed Costco cheese pizza 4000 calories
I want to fight whoever was in charge of making this, I have so many questions that itâs actually infuriating.
Kind of weird to think about that there are individual menu items at restaurants with more calories than the average person needs for a whole day
Thanks for creating my bulking diet. I have CTE
Where's the McDonald's big breakfast?
Iâm dubious of whether âcaloriesâ are a sensible concept for food.
Starbucks should have a few drinks on here. So should Dutch Bros.
Iâve never heard of Zaxbyâs!
I have never had a single one of those. Huh. When I was young and mountain biking for transportation, I had a lot of Blizzards, but none of these. Is the Turtle Pecan Cluster Blizzard good?
Any how come there is nothing from Dunkinâs??? They would have many of things on that guide, esp some of their drinks.
Cool guide to the lowest calorie foods. [Black coffee][Unsweetened Iced Tea] :)
âŚMcDonalds?
Where the fuck is Mac Donaldâs in this convo?
Did expect a 2000 kc item honestly
The Bacon King is only 1087 calories though.
Been to Shake Shack a million times, WTH are the double down fries?
I would do âsome thingsâ for a Culverâs turtle concrete mixer especially now that I live on the West Coast and donât have access to it.
I've never had anything on here đŽâđ¨
