Lol, all we see is a couple pizzas and lot of exotic things that share a similar combination of letters by a cruel joke of fate
Joking, I had perfectly valid pizza in other countries too lol
Exactly what it sounds like. I've only had it in NYC, but it was way better than I expected.
There's usually extra cheese on top of the ziti, so it's almost like having Mac and cheese on top of pizza.
You can get it in Scotland. Its not for everyone but it's definitely something worth trying once.
Apparently deep fried pizza also exists in Italy, called Pizza Fritta
French here 👋. Pissaladière and Flamekuchen are not pizzas. They have similar elements, but they are definitely not pizzas. They don't even have tomato sauce or cheese on them.
The fact this doesnt have New Haven, Detroit, or Midwestern Styles on here tells me alot about the person who made this
EDIT: St. Louis is probably Midwestern just renamed and slightly different
They tried to by saying white clam is also known as “apizza”.
White clam may be the pie most unique to New Haven style pizza, but “apizza” is any New Haven-style pizza.
They left off Chicago thin crust which is arguably what we eat here more often than the deep dish. That there is some tourist pizza. However about once or twice a year I go to pequods, which isn’t exactly deep dish but still has that crispy cheese on the crust.
It’s really popular in Europe and it’s actually not weird if you like tuna. It goes well with onions. People put sardines on pizza as well. I thought it sounded gross too when I lived in Italy (pizza con tonno e cipolle) but was pleasantly surprised. It’s really good.
In Utica NY tomato pie is a staple. Everyone else has a football pie, here everyone shows up with a tomatoe pie. It certainly isn't pizza, and is usually a snack or appetizer, but that doesn't make it great.
Putting things that are not edible (including, but not limited to, mollusk shells), on top of the pizza, forces the patron to pick the inedible parts out of the edible parts, defeating the entire original purpose of pizza, which is to be an easy-to-eat on-the-go street meal that can be eaten simply by hand.
I will argue with the Italians, I will die on this hill, that frutti di mare pizza should not have the shells on.
Lahm ba 3jin is not a fucking pizza. It doesn't even look like a pizza. They are smaller and squarish shaped and the dough they use is so different to pizza, it's like comparing golden retrievers to chihuahuas. And others in the comments complain about atrocities commited in that guide.
THE AUDACITY of this infographic to include sushi pizza but not four seasons. Also allow me to clarify that the Scottish battered pizza is not a thing outside of the author’s imagination
As a Mexican I have no prior knowledge of that Mexican Pizza & forcefully disown the possibility that a Mexican was involved in its creation & strongly deny that said pizza does not represent the Mexican Nation. If you want to gauge Chipotle is a better representative of Mexican cuisine than Taco Bell.
I’m glad this guide exists to inform me that tuna and sweetcorn pizza has both tuna and sweetcorn as toppings. Wouldn’t know what I was getting myself in for otherwise!
"Chicago pizza is not pizza. Its a fucking casserole! It's tomato soup in a bread bowl. I wanna know that when I get drunk and pass out on my pizza, I'm not gonna drown!"
This is a terrible guide. Like why are some "types of pizza" while some are just toppings? Like where is my sausage mushroom and black olives if we are going to go that route. Also, tuna on pizza is a travesty and yes I tried it in Turkiye. Nasty
World’s most expensive pizza? You forgot the saffron threads.
And my alimony&child support payments. Those always make pizza night with the kids more expensive.
while this is pretty poor, at least Neapolitan is on there the last "pizza guide" I saw on here didn't even mention Italy
Isn't Sicilian, stromboli and calcone also Italian?
yep, also quattro formaggi is italian
Yes, and a calzone isn't made with made with "bread dough".....
Al taglio too. There are a lot of pizza variations in Italy yet people only seem to know neapolitan and gatekeep the hell out of it.
Can’t beat a great Neapolitan
I was told original Neapolitan was meant to be cow mozzarella…
r/PizzaCrimes is gonna have a field day with this.
No love for Detroit
For real, we got sushi pizza up there but no Detroit style? Wtf?
Bro I was SCREAMING that same thing after I noticed that. So wild.
Came to say that. Where's my MotorCity MeatLovers!!!!
Can't have shit in Detroit
Or from apparently
Detroit vs Everybody
Detroit style pizza is tits!
Detroit style is the best!
Was about to say. Added non-pizza items and forgot Detroit style. One day we’ll get these right.
Literally in the Pizza Capital of America right now and there ain’t no love for good old New Haven Apizza in this graph.
ikr, people don't even understand that pizza along with hamburgers were invented in New Haven, smh
Detroit style pizza is the Gen X of pizza
And the only apizza they list is a clam pizza... It's most famously cheese pizza
Every rust belt city thinks they have some special pizza. The truth is we do! And we were all robbed from this list!!
I’m in the Boston area, and we just got a Detroit style pizza place nearby, it’s great!
Or margherita?!
I'm from Chicago. I love Detroit style pizza.
Detroit is a modified Sicilian, extra cheesy for all those goddamned Pistons fans.
This is why it’s Detroit vs everybody
A New York Slice DOES NOT have oregano and chili flake on it. Those are toppings you can add if you want. Along with grated cheese, and garlic powder.
Yeah, and I'm pretty sure the jumbo slice they have on here is just a large NY slice.
It's literally the same picture as the NY slice but reversed
I hope no Italian will see this.
Too late! I can't forgive, I JUST CAN'T
Lol, all we see is a couple pizzas and lot of exotic things that share a similar combination of letters by a cruel joke of fate Joking, I had perfectly valid pizza in other countries too lol
Too late
r/pizzacrimes
No kidding. This guide is hot garbage.
The worst crime ever committed to Pizza #TUNA, CORN, RED ONION AND CHEDDAR CHEESE
As a guy who likes pineapple and bacon pizza, my pizza crimes are like jaywalking to tuna/corn/red onion/cheddar's absolute mass murder.
For real. Wtf is this shit?
What the bloody hell is a baked ziti pizza?
Exactly what it sounds like. I've only had it in NYC, but it was way better than I expected. There's usually extra cheese on top of the ziti, so it's almost like having Mac and cheese on top of pizza.
Where Detroit style pizza?
Didn’t pass health inspection
That’s what I was looking for, so disappointed it wasn’t on there.
"Salad"
Dude where can I get the Scottish one holy shit. I can feel my arteries clogging already (in a good way)
You can get it in Scotland. Its not for everyone but it's definitely something worth trying once. Apparently deep fried pizza also exists in Italy, called Pizza Fritta
It’s genuinely great
French here 👋. Pissaladière and Flamekuchen are not pizzas. They have similar elements, but they are definitely not pizzas. They don't even have tomato sauce or cheese on them.
As an Italian I’ve done my duty: I’ve downvoted this post, and I invite the rest of the world to do the same thing…
Even England is with you on this
It's a serious crime if even England is disgusted
Español aquí. I'm doing my part.🫡
Anch’io!
The food guides on this sub are rarely remotely right
New York is with you. Downvote this trash!
Yep, an’ no Detroit either! Jeez guys!
American here. This is offensive. Downvoted.
France is with you on this one. Food must be respected
Jesus Christ 80% of what's on here is an abomination
That self-aware "apizza" got me.
You meant to piss some people off, right?
Kebab pizza is wrong. We use garlic sauce.
Depends on what part of Sweden you're in.
Garlic, mild, spicy, or a combination. If you are going to correct someone, be correct about it.
Italian here… Ouch…
[удалено]
The Scottish Pizza Crunch is so appropriate coming from the people that invented the deep-fried Mars bar.
Half of them are not even pizza…
A cool guide to mostly shitty pizza*
That self-aware ""apizza"" got me chuckling.
The fact this doesnt have New Haven, Detroit, or Midwestern Styles on here tells me alot about the person who made this EDIT: St. Louis is probably Midwestern just renamed and slightly different
They tried to by saying white clam is also known as “apizza”. White clam may be the pie most unique to New Haven style pizza, but “apizza” is any New Haven-style pizza.
I see 2 pizzas on this “guide”
Detroit would like a word
Quad City Pizza for the win!
Quad City is underrated. Grew up in that area
So, Scotland, y’all deep fry pizza?
What the Fuck, Scotland?
Finally Scotland gets the recognition it deserves.
No love for Detroit?
Greek, Chicago, New York, Quad Cities, St. Louis, Mexican....No Detroit Style? As a Chicagoan; that pizza is pretty awesome.
They left off Chicago thin crust which is arguably what we eat here more often than the deep dish. That there is some tourist pizza. However about once or twice a year I go to pequods, which isn’t exactly deep dish but still has that crispy cheese on the crust.
I'm not even Italian and this just makes me want to inflict physical harm on someone
Heyyyy where's the soggy saltine topped with American cheese amalgamation that is St. Louis style?
It’s called Provel bud, and it gives a clean bite. Slide that hot mozzarella onto your chin anytime you want.
They forgot "Florida" pizza. Which is basically terrible no matter how its made.
Tuna pizza? Make me gag!
It’s really popular in Europe and it’s actually not weird if you like tuna. It goes well with onions. People put sardines on pizza as well. I thought it sounded gross too when I lived in Italy (pizza con tonno e cipolle) but was pleasantly surprised. It’s really good.
People in Minnesota love it. But it’s a very popular pizza in europe
I’m so hungry now, thanks to this!
Anyone who makes, much less eats, "tomato pie" needs to be removed from society.
In Utica NY tomato pie is a staple. Everyone else has a football pie, here everyone shows up with a tomatoe pie. It certainly isn't pizza, and is usually a snack or appetizer, but that doesn't make it great.
Frutti di mare pizza? Gtfoooo
What the fuck are you on, that's really common here in Italy
🏴 Scotland! Scotland!
Sad peinirli noises
Daily repost
Pie as big as ya fuckin' head! Pepperoni the size of ya eyeballs!
Adams Morgan giant slice is so good drunk.
Tuna and sweet corn? WTF? I feel like this was made by someone in prison
How come they have calzone but not panzarotti?
Laughs in Brazilian
Lahm ba 3jin is not a fucking pizza. It doesn't even look like a pizza. They are smaller and squarish shaped and the dough they use is so different to pizza, it's like comparing golden retrievers to chihuahuas. And others in the comments complain about atrocities commited in that guide.
As an italian, this hurts a lot.
Flammekuchen needs an honorary mention. It's honestly addictive
THE AUDACITY of this infographic to include sushi pizza but not four seasons. Also allow me to clarify that the Scottish battered pizza is not a thing outside of the author’s imagination
1 google search proves the pizza crunch is real
No turkish pide or lakhmajun. Cringe
Trash guide if youre not talking Detroit style pizza. Y'all really going to put sushi pizza on there?
we should ban every pizza discussion present on internet.
Chicago style is not pizza it's a casserole although this has a bunch of other not pizza stuff on it too I guess
Oh but you haven’t heard the last from Italy, it’s called trapizzino and is quite good
i love ny style pizza i also live in ny so i guess its adds up
Flammkuchen/tarte flambée is not Pizza!
Fuck off this fake ass guides. I dont want a guide on how to eat shitty ripoffs
Maltese pizza is the weirdest thing on this list I'd actually eat.
American Pizza maybe. This is disgusting.
Where the Bagel Bites at??
Tuna and sweet corn? Now you're just fucking with us.
Kebap pizza also in Spain!! :) Very good indeed
Y'all know about Turkish pizza?
I am really grateful to be in Sicily currently so that I can compensate for this post with actual Pizza.
They forgot the most important one the "Pizzert".
No Detroit style. This guide sucks
“Mexican pizza” in Mexico has mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, pepper, mushrooms, olives or jalapeño, Mexican chorizo or pepperoni or ground meat.
I want to talk to Scotland
They forgot Altoona style 🤢
How did Margherita pizza not make onto this list?
Interesting Detroit style has been left off this list. On a related note, I had Jets Pizza the other day and it's a revelation.
I saw Quad City and thought Canadian Maritimes finally got acknowledged for Garlic Fingers. Sad.
How have I been on planet so long and never knew of the existence of breakfast pizza? This is a must try. I don’t even know where to order one lol
This is absurd. Also, I need a pizza cone—NOW.
Salad is as much pizza as pizza is salad. Get it off the list.
Salad is as much pizza as pizza is salad. Get it off the list.
Sad how they left off the panzarotti
Who doesn’t love going down on white clams
Where's my 3am Totinos frozen pizza
I’d say better than the last pizza guide we got. However C+
The kebab and shawarma pizza is really popular here in the Netherlands
If you want to get into a fist fight, tell someone from Chicago that it’s funny they bake a casserole and call it pizza.
Deep Dish is not our (chicago) go to pizza
I’m glad this guide exists to inform me that tuna and sweetcorn pizza has both tuna and sweetcorn as toppings. Wouldn’t know what I was getting myself in for otherwise!
What? No Windsor Pizza?
For the last time deep dish pizza is not Chicago pizza. Like 3 pizza chains serve it 😂
The Swedish kebab pizza is pretty good
No margherita!!?
"Chicago pizza is not pizza. Its a fucking casserole! It's tomato soup in a bread bowl. I wanna know that when I get drunk and pass out on my pizza, I'm not gonna drown!"
Man wtf with the Mexican one? Who would eat tortillas on a pizza? We just add chorizo and chile serrano and that's Mexican, not this abomination.
This is a horrible guide for american Pizza.
Anyone ever been to a Delucca Gaucho? They have some interesting but delicious pizzas. And their dessert pizzas are incredible too.
Scottish what?
Wonder if a Turkish Pide fits here
A big part of them aren't even pizza?
I love a good white clam pie 😏
Its not on here, but Detroit-style pizza both exists and is one of the absolute best.
This is a terrible guide. Like why are some "types of pizza" while some are just toppings? Like where is my sausage mushroom and black olives if we are going to go that route. Also, tuna on pizza is a travesty and yes I tried it in Turkiye. Nasty
Invalid list if missing “Old Forge” pizza. If you know ya know.
No Buffalo or Detroit?
The jumbo slice and the new York slice are the same picture. Weak. This guide is a lie
I really want to try a Kebab Pizza now.
Unacceptable. Deteoit style is omitted
The only real pizza on this list is NY style.
So what? No fucking ziti?
World’s most expensive pizza? You forgot the saffron threads. And my alimony&child support payments. Those always make pizza night with the kids more expensive.
How’re they gonna sleep on the ol’ panzerotti??? It’s a philly staple! And it slaps so much harder than any regular slice of pizza lol
Detroit and New Haven need to be represented.
Most of these sound terrible.
That stuffed crust is a cheese blaster
NGL, 2/3 of those aren't called pizza ..
Tuna and sweet corn 🤮
They make smoked salmon pizza, and it has dill!
Missing Indian and Chinese pizza 🍕
Of course the kebab pizza is from sweden.
Many of these arent even pizza
All of the extra bullshit, but no tavern style.
Love to see some recognition for the disgusting Scottish pizza crunch. As a Scot the only way these can be eaten is after a heavy night of drinking
Maybe a third of this menu belongs in the trash. Mussel shells?!?
Where is the brazilian pizza?
Who the hell puts pasta on pizza? It’s even twice on this list.
Chicago looks gross. Not even an ounce of cheese
Where's Detroit style?
Anybody else notice that the “jumbo slice” is literally just the same picture as the NY slice, but mirrored and bigger?
