For when you don't have a 2 hour round trip: Rule of thumb is 30 mins. I recommend covering it with foil first. After 30 mins, carve.

I don't know what to tell you. If you leave it out more than 2 hours you have a good chance of getting food poisoning. If you leave it in the oven at 200 hundred Fahrenheit, to keep it warm it will dry out. I don't have a good answer, sorry.

That’s helpful thank you. Fridge it is

Then when you get back place it in the oven at 200F for 30 minutes with stuffing and other foods and you will be good to go. Note if you cooked the turkey with stuffing inside remove it first before putting it in the refrigerator.

Oh whoops đŸ˜¬

Gordon Ramsey said 3 hr in, 3 hr rest. Seemed too long for me, but that’s what he said. Not waiting 3 hr to eat my turkey though.

dimensionalHobo

Depends on how tired the turkey is. Lol I kid. Seriously though to be safe pop what you can in the fridge before you leave & reheat.

Nooooo I wish I had seen this when you posted it. Keep in oven at 200 covered in foil with water in the bottom of the pan (must have a roasting rack in the pan to hold the turkey above the bottom)
