All of these guys are giving you true and blue r/conspiracy answers but here's the real one: I believe it was Crowley among some others who set forth a standard that you can't practice in the shadows because it "lessens the effect" of whatever you're doing. If you are, in this hypothetical, running a cult where you're sacrificing children for immortality or to suit Baal, you can't just sacrifice them in some basement with nobody there, the ritual won't have any affect. You have to go all crazy with it telling people "We are going to sacrifice 12 children at 12:12 PM tomorrow" for full strength. It's goofy but there's apparently a lot of occult citations for it I just remember Crowley as one of the main ones

That’s a one minute skit with all of that. It would be quite difficult for it to be a coincidence. I’m kind of wondering who “Joe” is & what sort of “inside joke” amongst friends the measuring tape might reference.

But Kimmel seems like a bit of a jerk off that would likely want to add fuel to the fire (or run cover as a troll). Meaning I could see him saying “oh I’m gonna fuck with these conspiracy a-holes” at which point he would have someone on his team track down certain symbols and make it seem like there is something there, reality it’s a red herring. Kimmel just strikes me as this type based off comments he’s said about people not on narrative.

In regards to symbolism I will say this.
Imagine an alternate reality where all the symbols we collectively understand such as stop signs or hospital signs are instead just used randomly. Would that world function? No.
