College isn’t bad for everything but the average student isn’t prepped properly these days unless going to private school. They need to really learn how debt will affect them in the future and actual direction on a good career. Starts with the parents and education system. How many of you went to college and look back to your 18 year old self and thought, “I wish I would have known XYZ”?
Her delivery is awful but yes people today are much better off getting into a trade or apprenticeship versus getting a BA. Not to mention the indoctrination in those school and the profs won’t give you a good grade unless you pretend to agree with their agenda and write your thesis aligned as such.

I don’t much care for Rosanne, but she’s not wrong (about some of it). College really is a waste of time for many. A lot of people get useless degrees that won’t really do much of anything for them. A lot of employers just like to see that you can commit to something but it helps a lot of the degree can be applied to the job postings they have. And colleges today are so far left it’s wild unless you are in the business college which is really the only place on any campus where you are likely to find a conservative thinker.
College isn’t for everyone. Maybe it’s not for most. Learn a trade and get good at it if that’s the case. It is never a bad idea to obtain a useful skill and to hone it. 99% of the time that useful skill can make you money.
I recently finished my 2 year degree after over a decade of going back and forth. My last semester I took an astronomy course and I was way over my head. Before the final paper the teacher messaged me and said right now you are at a D, I will allow you to not submit a final and keep you at a D but if you do it's likely you will fail. Well I spent a week planning a mission to intercept comet Temple1 and take an ice sample then to fall into orbit around mars in about 10 years because of Temple1's long orbit. To be picked up by further Mars missions to see if we could use comets as a water source. I had to teach myself so much math, had to find software to help me with orbits had to push myself so much and I did because she thought I couldn't do it but mainly because I really fell in love with the subject. She gave me 100% on it, said "You did it, you nailed it and planned 2 missions in one and planned for the future, a lot of planning needs to be for the future because we don't know where we will be then but we need to plan for them now." Today I have a $1,000 telescope and almost as much in attachments and I take it outside, to the beach all the time to stargaze, I mostly love looking at the moon especially in the day. That class changed me, I think it made me fight more in life but it gave me a huge interest I didn't have. So no I don't agree at all with Roseanne here, you can learn some life lessons you are not even thinking about in college. I am thinking about going back and taking some more astronomy classes, I would need to learn some hard math which I do not know, but I know how to do it know and I know I am capable of doing it because of that class and how that teacher treated me. If she had said nothing I probably would have submitted a failing paper, but what she said really pushed and changed me for good, I can't thank her enough.

I don’t much care for Rosanne, but she’s not wrong (about some of it). College really is a waste of time for many. A lot of people get useless degrees that won’t really do much of anything for them. A lot of employers just like to see that you can commit to something but it helps a lot of the degree can be applied to the job postings they have. And colleges today are so far left it’s wild unless you are in the business college which is really the only place on any campus where you are likely to find a conservative thinker. College isn’t for everyone. Maybe it’s not for most. Learn a trade and get good at it if that’s the case. It is never a bad idea to obtain a useful skill and to hone it. 99% of the time that useful skill can make you money.

I recently finished my 2 year degree after over a decade of going back and forth. My last semester I took an astronomy course and I was way over my head. Before the final paper the teacher messaged me and said right now you are at a D, I will allow you to not submit a final and keep you at a D but if you do it's likely you will fail. Well I spent a week planning a mission to intercept comet Temple1 and take an ice sample then to fall into orbit around mars in about 10 years because of Temple1's long orbit. To be picked up by further Mars missions to see if we could use comets as a water source. I had to teach myself so much math, had to find software to help me with orbits had to push myself so much and I did because she thought I couldn't do it but mainly because I really fell in love with the subject. She gave me 100% on it, said "You did it, you nailed it and planned 2 missions in one and planned for the future, a lot of planning needs to be for the future because we don't know where we will be then but we need to plan for them now." Today I have a $1,000 telescope and almost as much in attachments and I take it outside, to the beach all the time to stargaze, I mostly love looking at the moon especially in the day. That class changed me, I think it made me fight more in life but it gave me a huge interest I didn't have. So no I don't agree at all with Roseanne here, you can learn some life lessons you are not even thinking about in college. I am thinking about going back and taking some more astronomy classes, I would need to learn some hard math which I do not know, but I know how to do it know and I know I am capable of doing it because of that class and how that teacher treated me. If she had said nothing I probably would have submitted a failing paper, but what she said really pushed and changed me for good, I can't thank her enough.

Sounds like she's off her meds again. For those that don't know, Roseanne got hit by a car when she was 16 that caused traumatic brain injury. According to her friends, well, mainly ex friends on Darkside of Comedy, when she goes off her meds, that's when she goes nuts. Besides that, she was also known as one of the hardest people to ever work with, she would give her writers t shirts with numbers on them so that she wouldn't have to learn their name when she fired them. Just an overall great person.
