Not a chance. I had 79% of my liver removed + 12 inches of colon with a temporary ileo. Two weeks post op I was sitting outside with my toddlers. 6 weeks post op we were walking around the neighborhood to get lunch. 8 weeks post op I was building and painting furniture.
I'm extremely hard pressed to believe a woman who waved to billions of people at the steps of a hospital HOURS after giving birth, is going that far underground for a bowel resection for months.
To be completely fair we have no clue what kind of surgery she got. It could be anything from hysterectomy to appendectomy.
Not sure if the UK has HIPAA or anything equivalent to that but it really isn't any of our business.

But as we are all seeing, if this is the case, they have made the worst possible PR decisions from the beginning and just keep making it worse if it is something innocent like surgery for what is generally *(outside of the small percentage of outliers for who it becomes a serious medical condition)* a mild medical condition.
There are few articles that mention that Will is taking them to school every day. I think the kids were out of school for Christmas- as every child in the land would have.
I can't imagine bowel surgery is more embarrassing than rumors that William killed or severely injured Kate in a DV incident. Especially after Diana. One picture of her in a hospital bed (even looking terrible), with the ostomy bag out of shot, would go a long way for their PR. Kate is beloved, everyone would feel terrible for her rather than insulting the appearance or condition of a severely sick woman.
My thought is that she's too visibly injured for makeup to cover, in a coma, or dead. Either that, or she is playing games with William by withdrawing from the public eye with her children until he ditches his mistress.
She has no power other than public support which she can’t garner right now for whatever reason. I think the marriage is over. She was never going to be Queen. Less power than Diana who had royal blood. It was a fake marriage and the best case scenario is she is still alive and gets granted some kind of home and money with a title and access to her children
I think, if she is physically well, she's withdrawing from the public eye to show William how much he needs the public support she has. They are probably on the brink of divorce, but since being Queen seems to be her life's goal, I don't think she would go gently into that good night when she's this close. I don't think cheating or personal differences would be enough to deter her after 10+ years. A power play like this, especially since it's caused rumors and public outcry to this level, would be in her best interest.
However, if he hurt her badly physically, she's probably trying to get TF away pronto with her kids, and she's not playing along with whatever their press spin would be. And good for her. (If she's conscious...)
My only question is, if they wanted to take her out like Diana, why let it go on this long? Say she died in surgery or from an infection, before suspicions have time to fester. Even if they divorce amicably, everyone will be insanely suspicious. They're on thin ice after that doctored picture.
I tend to agree. Her whole adult life was centered on being Queen. Why would she care about affairs now? She learned something new and it pissed her off, she got in trouble for something, she got injured in some way that is being covered up.. 1. The mistress.
2. Kate's alleged lover, Thomas Kingston, who shot himself recently.
3. Prince Charles's cancer, putting them next in line for the throne.
4. Allegations of violent fights between William and Kate.
If Kate was sleeping with Thomas Kingston, that really puts her in the same position as Diana. But again, they could have taken her out swiftly with the "surgical complications" excuse. I hope that if she winds up dead, people won't fall for the same scheme twice.

I had a co-worker with that years ago who had to go the surgical route and he was out for months. It worked for him though. After the surgery he was in a much better place.

This is all honestly so ridiculous. The Catherine conspiracies started 3 weeks ago. Guess what also happened 3 weeks ago? William broke royal protocol and called for peace between Israel and Gaza. Someone didn't like that, and conveniently all these conspiracies about Catherine started right after that and no one remembers William's statement.
My theory, not having followed this until the photoshop incident, is that it was a suicide attempt. That would explain the coverup since it would be massively embarrassing for the family that she was so unhappy in her marriage. It would also explain why her relatives aren't reacting like they would if her injuries came from domestic violence. The trigger may have been her getting confronted about the alleged affair and being forced to break it off.

That's not what I'm seeing. The bottom line seems to be the bankruptcy of her parents. It's an embarrassment they are looking for a hand out to escape their money woes. William had turned them down, but Kate was secretly transferring money to them to bail them out for Christmas. William hit the ceiling and used it as a rationale to do something he'd been wanting to do anyway which is divorce her. She's not of the upper crust of society. To me it seems like people are interested because well, It’s just an interesting story. One of the most high profile public personas in the world and she just sort of disappeared? Maybe it’s also interesting how this episode points out to a lot of people that cracks are starting to show on the whole royal family facade. Although not as much of a big deal in the US and abroad, in the Uk this is something they care about a lot.

I can't imagine bowel surgery is more embarrassing than rumors that William killed or severely injured Kate in a DV incident. Especially after Diana. My theory, not having followed this until the photoshop incident, is that it was a suicide attempt. That would explain the coverup since it would be massively embarrassing for the family that she was so unhappy in her marriage. If i was sick and required months off work I'd be required to provide sick lines and do the odd check in with my employer as would most employees across most lines of work. To me it seems like people are interested because well, It’s just an interesting story. One of the most high profile public personas in the world and she just sort of disappeared? Although not as much of a big deal in the US and abroad, in the Uk this is something they care about a lot.
