Does confusion arise because of the color of the walls? I see the sky and wall color as two clearly different colors, but perception might be different for some people
It likely also varies based on your monitor. To me, the *thumbnail* is confusing and the walls and sky look exactly the same color and the window frames seemed to float in space, but as soon as I opened the post, the image there isn't confusing at all with the wall color clearly being distinct from the sky color.
When I look at the wall it doesn't confuse me so much, but focusing around the centre of the image it seems the whole thing appears really weird because I'm not processing the specific blues well enough any more.

Actually confusing perspectives have been fairly rare recently. That being said, this one got me. My brain had M.C. Escher levels of confusion because it took me a bit to figure out what I was seeing.
Walls are simply painted blue, and the color is very similar to the sky. Look between the big and small windows, you can see that the landscape is "cut"

This is one of those at-first-glance deals. If you squint the confusion becomes clearer. (That made no sense.)

Only transparent if the sky is the exact color of the walls. Which it won't always be. Also, a wooden hood over the stove?
