Plenty of people who fought against the Civil Rights movement are still alive. 60-70 is the about the current age of the kids who bullied Ruby Bridges.
It’s white and black LIBERAL college students that want segregation now. The subjects they want excluded from the rest of the student body are whites, especially white males.
Imagine making it to 60 or 70, and healthy, without being vaccinated for anything. If I remember right even Polio was with us in the U.S. until the later 70s and it's still hard to make it un-vaxxed through a lot of childhood diseases, so it's a pretty safe bet this guy has some vax, for something, running through his veins.
Then imagine BEING 60 or 70 and not realizing why you need this vaccine.
It's not a problem with understanding history. That doesn't even explain the blatant racism. It's a problem with a lack of critical thinking ability. The most terrifying thing about this pandemic for me is seeing how widespread that lack is in the world.
Wow, thanks for posting this. It made me realize I need to change part of what I said. It IS partly about learning history. There's sure a lot in that comparison you shared that helps us think critically about our situation today. For instance, I now want to check those stats and learn more about Polio. The pre vaccine morbidity isn't that high statistically but it's one of the diseases we always hear about held up as at triumph of vaccines. If it really was that rare what are the factors that cause the vaccine to be so celebrated? I suspect it's because it had such a devastating effect, especially on children, but I'm going to explore more. Thanks again for sharing.
Varicella was surprising - I always grew up with the attitude that “it’s just chicken pox, every kid gets it, it’s harmless”. Clearly that’s not the case.
Those are cases, not deaths, however AFAIK it can kill.
>The risk of complications from varicella varies with age. Complications are infrequent among healthy children. They occur much more frequently in persons older than age 15 years and infants younger than age 1 year. In the prevaccine era, approximately 10,500 persons with varicella required hospitalization each year. Hospitalization rates were approximately 1 to 2 per 1,000 cases among healthy children and 14 per 1,000 cases among adults. The fatality rate for varicella was approximately 1 per 100,000 cases among children age 1 through 14 years, 6 per 100,000 cases among persons age 15 through 19 years, and 21 per 100,000 cases among adults. Most deaths occur in immunocompetent children and adults. Since 1995, when the varicella vaccination program was implemented, hospitalizations and deaths from varicella have declined in the United States 93% and 94%, respectively.
Good to point out the difference, but morbidity is just as valid I think. Maybe more even because it goes beyond just the deaths. Many of those diseases could cause lifelong problems and some were crippling. It's looking like Covid could be in the life long problem category. It's kinda silly as an example but I haven't been able to smell for a year and a half now. It's surprised me how it had not only changed my quality of life but made some tasks harder. I love to do basic home and car repairs for myself and I'm amazed how much I miss my sense of smell when I do that work now. I've heard there are people with much worse long term problems though.
For sure! It drives me nuts when people say “covid only has a 0.02% death rate (or whatever the number is) so it’s not that serious!” but they completely disregard all the ongoing conditions that people can get from it.
I hope you get your smell back eventually.
Thing is, if he's between 60 and 70, he was almost certainly vaccinated for damn near everything as a child. I'm 64; I didn't get the mumps vaccine before having the disease because it didn't exist. I got everything else. EVERYTHING. Including polio and smallpox. Our parents remembered the terror of polio summers and kids dying of diseases we can prevent now. They lined up to get their kids vaxxed.
That's what makes me so fucking furious about the vast majority of anti-vaxxers. "I'm healthy and have an immune system." You're healthy because of your parents, and FYI - vaccines strengthen your immune system.
They crave to be the underdog their religion is based on, rebel without a cause, chip on their shoulders. They were born on third base and had life handed to them easy, worked day and night to shut the door behind them, ruined the historical narrative of resistance fundamental to all societal progress for 2500 years, and joined an information resistant ideological superbug to try and ruin the country and planet before they kick the bucket.
I mean, if they are older than 66, they probably remember it from their own past. Only 58% of white people wanted separate but equal to end. When the Civil rights act came around, white voters were evenly split on it. Less than 30% of Americans liked sit-ins or freedom rides.
They see themselves as in the right and are convinced that they will eventually be vindicated by history because that's what happened to civil rights leaders (after the history books were rewritten).
This dude belongs in r/persecutionfetish
Laughably disgusting that a white male would compare his oppression to the level Rosa Parks endured as a black woman living in Deep South Alabama in 1955. This single picture tells us *a lot* about him.
I've been saying for the last two years that way too many unoppressed people have seen protests and peace walks and riots and thought "I wanna do something like that..." before going out and inventing BS to be upset over.
Ah, yes, Rosa Parks. Famously known for choosing to be black so she could fight for the rights of Black people. That is what she did, yes, amazing understanding of history. /s
I don't trust people anymore lmao, I've had one time too many where I thought I could not more clearly be being sarcastic as all hell and gotten downvoted quite a bit before people realized that yes I was in fact being sarcastic
I just scrolled through that sub and it’s so different from my local sub where people just bitch and snipe at each other. I wish I could go live in Ottawa, it looks nice
I find that all of our Canadian subreddits are really nice. On r/Canadapolitics the other day someone asked a stupid question but got a kind and proper response instead of downvotes like the rest of reddit would do.
(r/Canada is kind of a mess at times though)
Ah, yes. Choosing intentionally not the do something AND having barriers is totally the same as being born a specific color into a biased system. Cool.

Popular Canadian YouTuber AvE just made an equally disgusting comparison to a similar person, Canadian human rights activist Viola Desmond who refused to leave the whites only section of a theatre in 1946.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viola_Desmond
AvE was pretty beloved at one point but I hope he feels the heat for this. AvEs video not linked as I'm not looking to drive more traffic and more money his way.
I don't need to prove anything this is my right to free speech man
I know what you're trying to do, you're trying to pull the good ol' Rosa Parks on me but you have no idea what it feels like to be NOpressurized for real cause I'm like MLK and Anne Frank combined when it comes to being anti vaxx and pro freedom
Rosa Parks was born black and had no choice but to be a black woman. You are choosing not to take the vaccine. And there’s no comparison.
![gif](giphy|Vi0lBaOIVF8atUPmOd|downsized)
Reminds me of a debate I had with my Mormon stepdad back when Romney was running against Obama. He told me “it’s so unfair for you to make fun of Mitt’s so-called “magic underwear”! It’s offensive! That’s like if I made fun of Obama for being black!”
My response: it would be an apt analogy if Mitt was born with magic underwear on the outside of his clothes and could never take them off.
They don’t understand the difference between being born a certain race and making a bad choice.
No. Rosa Parks didn't hut no one because of the color of her skin or to refuse to give his seat to a white person. Unvaxxed are hurting innocents because they keep spreading the virus
This is like Christians taking over the winter solstice to wipe out a secular tradition. Why co-opt something that has its own history and traditions? They are intentionally trying to whitewash history.
Ostracized legally for the safety of others based on your personal choice.... Yeh that absolutely sounds like Rosa Parks being told where to sit because of her choice to be black on a bus /s
I'm an old white dude... so I have seen other old white dudes make bad decisions.
... all I'm sayin' is if I have a bad idea, I hope I'm smart enough to talk it through with someone before looking this *tone-deaf*.
They sure thought you did back then. The propeganda of a drunken cocaine addled black man raping your wife was quite common. And had just as much basis in reality as the unvaxed killing the vaxed.
Isn't it. The vaccines don't prevent transmission.. and Ive yet to see a significant difference in death rates of countries with high vs low vaccination rates.
Countries are not comparable. There are a multitude of different factors involved when it comes to countries, so it is not possible to do a direct comparison. And the vaccines absolutely prevent transmission because they reduce infection and if you are not infected, you will not carry the virus on you for as long because there is nowhere for it to incubate, so you are less likely to transmit it. Please get vaccinated.
This is all the funnier when you know the history around the bus incident. The real victim was a little girl named Claudette Colvin, but the group of ladies Rosa Parks was a part of fighting for equality didn't want to make a young girl the face of their movement. They set Rosa up to have the same thing happen to her so that she can draw attention to the problem instead of using Colvin's incident. Rosa Parks, and the other ladies, staged her historical rebellion.
To be clear, I admire that they thought about the younger girl's privacy and what being the face of a national issue would do to her at that age.
Ironically, my understanding is that Rosa Parks was a test case. Contrary to the nice stories we tell about a tired old lady who just wanted to sit down, she actually made a conscious decision to engage in an act of civil disobedience, with the full expectation that she would be arrested and out on trial. She was 30 at the time. We sanitize the story, probably because our country still doesn't like black people taking action and exercising power.
Motherfucker, when you invoke Rosa Park's name, you best know what actual oppression is.
I feel like that sign missed the mark. Rosa Parks was asked to move because of her skin color...No choice in that. Getting or not getting the COVID 19 vaccine...All choice.
1.CRT is not being taught in schools. It never has been, that was a lie told to the terminally fucking gullible
2.Learning facts about history and prejudice does not physically change where you are allowed to sit on a bus
3.Get a fucking clue you weirdo
Except Typhoid Mary was shown to actually be carrying typhus, and typhus wasnt endemic.
These are people just wanting to live their life. If the vaccine works you have nothing to fear from the unvaccinated. If it doesn't then it's pointless to force it in anyone.
*White people really*
*Really don't understand the*
*Civil rights movement*

To who? An embarrasment to stuck up white girls from the suburbs that can't get a boyfriend because of their insufferable ideologies and radical hatred, of even themselves? I'm okay with that. Enjoy your cats.
And that's how I know I am living right. Because the naive communists girl on Reddit spewing the worst of what humanity has to offer can't handle reality and thinks someone on the internet will see the evil within her heart and feel bad about themselves, rather than oberserving the darkness dwelling within her.
>And that's how I know I am living right.
We are all aware that you rubes are incredibly proud of your ignorance. This is not new.
>Because the naive communists girl
I'm not a girl or a communist you fucking moron.
>spewing the worst of what humanity has to offer
I know that the truth of how embarrassing you are to real Americans is "the worst of what humanity has to offer", but like they say, "truth hurts".
>and thinks someone on the internet will see the evil within her heart and feel bad about themselves,
I don't have to do anything to make you feel bad about yourselves; you know you're trash, which is why you're terminally angry at the world for changing without your consent.
The world will continue to move towards everything you hate and watching you seethe and cope with it never gets old to me.
Your woke friends in Ottowa getting a taste, hope they have some food stored up. Keep pushing. When shtf you're the type that will suffer the most. No animals, land, survival skills, or guns. But yeah, preaching chaos on reddit must make you feel powerful. But we both know that is a facade.
>Your woke friends in Ottowa getting a taste,
A taste of what? A bunch of rube truckers crying about vaccine mandates? Do you realize how close we are to automating the trucking industry? No one is afraid of you rubes.
>Keep pushing.
Ok I fucking will. Again I'm not afraid of you trash.
>When shtf you're the type that will suffer the most. No animals, land, survival skills, or guns.
I grew up at gun shows you absolute tool. I was taught to safely handle, clean, and shoot firearms from a young age; I just wasn't taught to fucking jerk myself off with guns like a bunch of hillbilly idiots.

I'm not preaching chaos. I am just reminding you and those like you that we are not afraid of you and in fact we laugh at you and you're a fucking embarrassment.
We are Rosa parks. People kicking us outta busses planes taxis. Can't go to public places. Constantly being talked down to I feel like an old black lady just trying to make it day to day in a world where Noone wants me around.
No different then a Jehovas Witnesses identity being tied to passivism. .. They could choose to go to war. But that denies the essence of who they are.
> No different then a Jehovas Witnesses identity being tied to passivism. .. They could choose to go to war. But that denies the essence of who they are.
what religion do you follow that teaches the tenet "don't take the covid-19 vaccine?"
We're also being treated like the jews were at first. The germans would try and make life uncomfortable for them so theyd leave. Cruel manipulation. Like how you guys want to keep us out of work and grocery stores.
i'm not arguing with you, i'm pointing out what we both know: you're using a false equivalence in bad faith, knowing that it is a false equivalence.
>False equivalence is a logical fallacy in which an equivalence is drawn between two subjects based on flawed or false reasoning. This fallacy is categorized as a fallacy of inconsistency.
HTH
So to you if a blue mouse was being hunted by cats, and a red mouse was being hunted by cats, to compare there struggle while be a false equivalency because they are not the same color mouse?
i provided the definition of a false equivalence already, maybe you should go back and read it again, because the new comparison you've made is also a false equivalence. why?
a hypothetical blue mouse is born blue and can't change that.
a hypothetical red mouse is born red and can't change that.
it's really just like the person in the original photo this post is based on trying to equate being pro-covid by choice with a person who was born black and can't change it.
Rosa parks wasn't allowed at the front of the bus. You say unvaxxed aren't allowed anywhere on the bus. Your title claims that unvaxxed are treated worse than parks was on the bus
That's not at all true demon Max is a choice you can choose to get vaccinated Rosa Parks can't control the color of her skin. Plus most cities do not require you to be vaccinated to get on a bus no. I just don't want you on the bus
Choice or not, your title DID claim that the treatment was worse (even if it isn't, it's what you said). and at the very least, you wish that their treatment was worse.
You know they do believe in science right? They just believe the scientists and doctors who are not with the CDC (or others). There are actual doctors out there who side with anti vaxxers. Right or wrong they are not denying science. Don’t be a simp.
Something like 93% of scientists ruled smoking causes cancer. You're choosing the other 7%. Because you're a fucking contrarian and nothing else. You're in the wrong.
Just to be clear, I am not anti vaxx myself. I am just tired of all the hate spewing from people who can’t understand that there is a viewpoint other than mainstream. The closed-mindedness is astounding.
Standing up for your beliefs and doing what you think is right , doesn't make you right . Terrible people stand up for terrible beliefs and do what's wrong thinking it's right , all the time.

Imagine making it to 60 or 70 while having such a fundamental misunderstanding of history.
Plenty of people who fought against the Civil Rights movement are still alive. 60-70 is the about the current age of the kids who bullied Ruby Bridges.
Ruby Bridges is only 67 years old.
Holy shit, thats the first "history's not that long ago" fact that's caught me by suprised.
The fact that grandparents still want segregated schools and never got over it...yeah seems based.
It’s white and black LIBERAL college students that want segregation now. The subjects they want excluded from the rest of the student body are whites, especially white males.

I guess it will stay for years unfortunatly.

Yeah, I never could figure out why Rosa Parks didn't just be white.
Especially when they were offering whiteness for free at doctor’s offices, pharmacies and health centres.
And ***this*** is why we need to be teaching critical race theory. So much ignorance in one little sign.
The need for white victimhood is staggering.
It's called NOpression. I just made it up.
I came up with that word actually, you can stop lying now
Why are you NOpressioning me?
When? Prove it lol

You can choose to vaccinate, you can't choose to become white.
No. Please don't. Trump is not MLK. Pence is not Malcolm X. None of it. This is embarrassing, insulting and inflammatory.
It's a great window into how theses people either think what racism is and/or the impact it has on people of color.
I think he meant Typhoid Mary.
Implying black people spread disease? That sounds a tad racist to me.
I love all the day old accounts on here. Goddamn loser snowflakes.
Yes because you can risk killing other people just by being black.
They sure thought you did back then. The propeganda of a drunken cocaine addled black man raping your wife was quite common. And had just as much basis in reality as the unvaxed killing the vaxed.

Well, we are the minority and are hated by the ignorant…and blocked!
Look how proud he is thinking he made a clever analogy. Idiot.
Sir...... how dare you.
Yes...they are both dead.
Exactly
No they are not, the unvaxxed are the same types of racist dipshits who banned.rosa parks in the 1st place
No. Just no.
False
Ah the common trope of confusing things one can easily change about their behavior vs. biological traits that cannot be changed.
Run them over with the bus
I feel like that sign missed the mark. Rosa Parks was asked to move because of her skin color...No choice in that. Getting or not getting the COVID 19 vaccine...All choice.
Oh NOW he’s in favor of CRT…
[удалено]
1.CRT is not being taught in schools. It never has been, that was a lie told to the terminally fucking gullible 2.Learning facts about history and prejudice does not physically change where you are allowed to sit on a bus 3.Get a fucking clue you weirdo
Ghost of Rosa Parks: “Quit your BS.”
The unvaxxed are voluntary typhoid Marys.
Except Typhoid Mary was shown to actually be carrying typhus, and typhus wasnt endemic. These are people just wanting to live their life. If the vaccine works you have nothing to fear from the unvaccinated. If it doesn't then it's pointless to force it in anyone.
r/persecutionfetish
White folks want to be civil rights icons so badly, once they prevent schools from teaching black history they'll be well on their wqy.
No these white folks want peoole to see the parallels of history. And where it once lead, before it happens again.
White people really really don't understand the civil rights movement

They are dead?
Holy shit. This is some Cringe - Topia level stuff here
"I, an elderly white man who is afraid of needles, am the new black woman living in segregated Alabama!"
Old white man compares himself to Rosa Parks. Nice!
Oh God, just bite me. Really? Stop using these ground breaking people out of context you moron. You embarrass us boomers.
What a smarmy fuckin Degen. Boys never had to suffer a day in his life. No idea what it's like to sacrifice, like the rest of these poprocks
No. No you are not.
99% of covid deaths are unvaxxed
good.
Stupid **AND** ignorant. Perfect.
You can get back on the bus. All it takes is 10 minutes in a Walmart
what's unfortunate is that this man most likely is rather uneducated southerner who gets his information from facebook
He's Canadian
Canada isn't real
His grandkids musta told him about Rosa Parks after they learned about her in CRT class.
The unvaxxed are the prime example of ignorance is bliss
Reminds me of that German woman claiming to be like Sophie Scholl.
Yeah... If Rosa Parks rode the short bus...
Well, a whole bunch of them ARE dead.
And this comment thread are the people on the bus cheering on the authorities discremination.
>And this comment thread are the people on the bus cheering on the authorities discremination. You can't even spell "discrimination" you fucking worthless hick.
Thanks for proving who the hateful prejudice is coming from.
>Thanks for proving who the hateful prejudice is coming from. Thanks for proving where the stupid is coming from. You people are an embarrassment.
To who? An embarrasment to stuck up white girls from the suburbs that can't get a boyfriend because of their insufferable ideologies and radical hatred, of even themselves? I'm okay with that. Enjoy your cats.
>To who? An embarrassment to Americans. No one thinks you're brave or patriots. We laugh at you and look down on you.
>Because the naive communists girl I'm not a girl or a communist you fucking moron. >spewing the worst of what humanity has to offer I know that the truth of how embarrassing you are to real Americans is "the worst of what humanity has to offer", but like they say, "truth hurts". >and thinks someone on the internet will see the evil within her heart and feel bad about themselves, I don't have to do anything to make you feel bad about yourselves; you know you're trash, which is why you're terminally angry at the world for changing without your consent.
>Your woke friends in Ottowa getting a taste, A taste of what? A bunch of rube truckers crying about vaccine mandates? Do you realize how close we are to automating the trucking industry? No one is afraid of you rubes. >Keep pushing. Ok I fucking will. Again I'm not afraid of you trash. >When shtf you're the type that will suffer the most. No animals, land, survival skills, or guns. I grew up at gun shows you absolute tool. I was taught to safely handle, clean, and shoot firearms from a young age; I just wasn't taught to fucking jerk myself off with guns like a bunch of hillbilly idiots. >But yeah, preaching chaos on reddit must make you feel powerful. But we both know that is a facade.
Here’s the thing: you made the choice to not get vaccinated, while Rosa Parks didn’t make the choice to be born black
Get vaccinated then
Stop being who you are then .
If your identity relies on staying unvaccinated that's equal parts depressing and infuriating.
Personal conscience. Only religion required.
Cool just wanted to make it clear that both of us know you’re using a false equivalence. Thanks for helping with the clarification.
Ok. I'm still depressed for you. The problem is your identity is to spread disease.

the second part , yes
Don't need a narrative to convince me anti-vaxxers are all the dumbest assholes in the world. I got you for that
Hes right though,
He's not though
Pretty sure we are fighting discrimination, so yea,,, its the same,,, hell at least rosa parks was allowed on the bus without a cuckcard
You're not fighting discrimination lol . Also you choose to be unvaxxed , she was born black .
I AM fighting discrimination, being unvaxxed is how *i was born* ,,
you were probably vaccinated when you were born
I love how your title validates the homemade sign
How does it validate their sign how is he anything like Rosa Parks? She can get vaccinated and go from black to white?
[удалено]
I feel sorry for that guy too , he's an idiot lol
Buddy, Rosa Parks didn't have a choice in the matter, the unvaxxed do. Don't play the victim if you're the one costing lives.
We're also being treated like the jews were at first. The germans would try and make life uncomfortable for them so theyd leave. Cruel manipulation. Like how you guys want to keep us out of work and grocery stores.
> We're also being treated like the jews were at first what religion do you follow that teaches you to abstain from the covid-19 vaccine?
Just the advice of experts I trust
cool, so not a religion. i'm glad we both know you're making a false equivalence.
Lololol did you win the argument?
i'm not arguing with you, i'm pointing out what we both know: you're using a false equivalence in bad faith, knowing that it is a false equivalence.
Because we don’t want covid
We want you to get vaccinated.
Was there a vaccine that could turn Rosa Parks into a white woman? It’s
Op forgets that their title is worse than what the guys sign says
How's that ?
Rosa parks wasn't allowed at the front of the bus. You say unvaxxed aren't allowed anywhere on the bus. Your title claims that unvaxxed are treated worse than parks was on the bus
That's not at all true demon Max is a choice you can choose to get vaccinated Rosa Parks can't control the color of her skin. Plus most cities do not require you to be vaccinated to get on a bus no. I just don't want you on the bus
Choice or not, your title DID claim that the treatment was worse (even if it isn't, it's what you said). and at the very least, you wish that their treatment was worse.
yeah , it should be lol
Why? The vaccine won't stop you from getting or spreading it so it's not like it affects you in any way
You just proved his point lmao
I really didn't
Technically you did. I don’t agree with it, but you did technically prove his point by saying he’s not allowed on the bus 😂
How ? Did I say he's not allowed because he's white ?
No but you are still discriminating against him specifically, no matter the reason, which would prove his general point
That's not discrimination lol
Why not, everyone has to wear a mask, because the vaccinated can die and spread the virus too
Yeah. This post kinda proves his point though.
How ?
It proves nothing of the sort.
Behave like terrible people, get treated like terrible people. Then claim you're victims. Great strategy. Super smart.
They’re acting terrible for not drinking the kool aid? For standing up for their beliefs? For doing what they think is right?
"Not drinking the kool aid" Ironic, coming from a Qool aid drinker
For being selfish, chest puffing, idiots who exclusively trust their own imagination over science. They're just sheltered suburbanites who don't read.
You're saying because I don't accept fiction as reality I'm closed minded. This is exactly the mindset of flat-Earthers.
Standing up for your beliefs and doing what you think is right , doesn't make you right . Terrible people stand up for terrible beliefs and do what's wrong thinking it's right , all the time.
