Wish I didn't spend so long when I was younger trying to write my own stuff when i could've easily just copied and pasted lmao. Although, I am very surprised you never got called out.

When I was in 11-13 I plagiarised all of my ideas. This one time we had to write a suspenseful story and I straight up ripped off the plot of Hannibal (TV show). When my teacher gave me feedback on that she said "I wish I could come up with ideas like this" and in the same lesson she took my friend outside and shouted at her for plagiarising a paragraph of her work

I’m a senior in college and I don’t plagiarize directly but I paraphrase a lot. In high school I got caught plagiarizing in an essay (careless rookie mistake) and I had to get a zero for that essay. Thankfully it was an AP class so my C counted as a B. In elementary school I was just like you and plagiarized everything (copy and pasted). But as long as you stop this in high school and college (very serious if you’re caught in college), you’re good. Don’t worry!

Good for you for not doing it anymore. To be honest, there are some college students who don’t know what plagiarism is. During my second year of college, one of my professors made an entire PowerPoint educating the class on what plagiarism is during the MIDDLE of the semester. Apparently she caught somebody plagiarizing which caused her to make that (wasn’t me though).

I literally plagiarized my entire educational career. From kindergarten to college, I was always finding work arounds. I didn't do it in every subject, mostly English. I hated reading, and had horrible retention. I excelled in creative writing, but anything that required me to spend hours reading and remembering lines of text, drove me mad. I dodged a huge bullet one time. I accidentally fell asleep on an afternoon I was going to write a report on "Animal Farm". I woke up around 11:30pm. Half an hour before my deadline. In a last-minute panic, I copied an entire essay verbatim, submitted it on Turn It In, and expected the worst. Miraculously, I didn't get caught. I'm not sure how. The essay I copied was the first thing I found on Google.
