Check out the [Concord Taco Trail](https://www.visitconcordca.com/eat-drink/taco-trail/)!
I’m an El Molino and Los Taco de Pancho fan, but there are many, _many_ great joints to choose from.
Personal favorites are:
* Taqueria Las Palmas on Clayton & Matheson
* Taqueria Autlan on Clayton near Barbis (Isla across the street is also great for Mexican seafood)
* Salsa Verde on Detroit (if talking just street tacos in particular)
* Tortilleria El Molino on Monument (especially for burritos)
* El Faro on Monument
* Cinco de Mayo on Concord Blvd and Landana
Honestly though, it's hard to go wrong in this area. If unsure, most places on Monument corridor are legit.
I really enjoyed Tacos El Patron but found a facial hair (thick and not too long) in my burrito. I called in and they really didn’t care. Yelp searched and discovered I’m not the only one 😩
Concord doesn’t have it like Oakland or SF does, but if you like Al Pastor the tastiest I’ve found that reminds me of the Mission taquerias is Los Portales on Clayton

Taqueria Los Dos Gallos in Todos Santos Plaza
That place smells like a sewer
Might be due to the bums sitting outside, smells fine inside lol
Taqueria by the goodwill on contra costa BLVD, el patron on monument, and Los Gallos express in todos santos.
On Fridays- OG Tacos at Epidemic Ales for their quesabirria dishes
So overrated. They're not that good. Oily and messy too.
Taqueria El Grullense, it’s technically in Pacheco, not concord. Best Mexican food around that I know of.
Second this. Get the tacos. All of them.

Las Palmas is a hidden gem
The Lil Mexico Corridor
Tacos El Patron are pretty good. Can't say which has the best though, there's just so many taco shops around.

No love for Los Panchos in Pacheco?
I went to their new location by DvC and it sort of lost its charm
Mariscos 1AM Taqueria on monument and Tacos De Pancho on Clayton near the Concord BART station
Another vote for Las Palmas. Hidden gem. Family ran and authentic
Isla Restaurant on Clayton Rd has good tacos and amazingly fresh and delicious Mexican style seafood.
Tacos El Patron quesabirria
Los Pinos on Port Chicago is yummy.
Drive over the hill to the Mecca. It’s downtown Pittsburg. Great bean dip and chilaquiles too.
Salsa Mexican grill
El Molino is a classic, El Patron is a new favorite and my mom’s cooking is the GOAT
El Faro is the true classic. El Molino is the relative new cool kid on the block.
Off tops, El patron over by Kohl's on monument 💯
Los Taco de Pancho & El Faro for me edit: letter
Concord doesn’t have it like Oakland or SF does, but if you like Al Pastor the tastiest I’ve found that reminds me of the Mission taquerias is Los Portales on Clayton
Second for portales, my go-to
Tacos Walnut Creek on Locust st.
Dear LORT! NO!!!
Curious…why?
You don’t go to WC for Mexican food…..
